Happy for you both , I hope you just remember to tell people your only doing, some, of the actual work and not pretend like other channels, that your actually building a home by yourselves. Without your family’s advice, help, money, building experience, connections, etc ..none of that would happen. Best of luck
Hey JN! Yes of course we’re going to be mentored by my dad who has been a builder his whole life, utilizing his mentorship and contacts. In order to save on costs we will be doing some of the work ourselves, with the help of contractors. We will be completely transparent with all of our costs so that people will be able to see!
I think what shocks me the most as european how many acres are to m2 like... that's a lot for me. Yet it's your house, your rules. I am just here to enjoy your adventure
We just purchased our acreage and plan to build in the next 2 years! This is so fun to watch... I can't wait to start our journey, Thanks for the content!
So far we have watched the first three episodes. Reminds us of having our house built all those years ago. Of course it was much easier for us having a builder and being in a subdivision. Your design looks beautiful. Don’t forget it needs to be furnished.
We love hearing that. I am sure the cost of lumber was a little bit lower :). Yes, We will need furniture. As long as we have 1 couch and a bed I think we can make it haha
Glad to see you guys back to making UA-cam videos! You guys inspired me to try out van life and I even started vlogging. I suck at vlogging but I am determined to get better lol
Thanks Dan, appreciate the kind words! We definitely missed it! Happy we inspired some van life travels. Vlogging is tough, we feel like we suck at it too haha. All we can say is it gets better with time 😁
Just subscribed! Key thing for everyone to remember is having the $$$ to pay for the lot in cash. Never easy but attainable with discipline and good cash flow. My wife and I bought an older home and put sweat equity to be able to obtain good ROI. Now waiting for the market to adjust to be able to cash out refi and buy land. Kudos to y’all and wish you all the best. Hoping to be in y’all’s shoes within the next 2-4 yrs!
Welcome back!! Question for you, I've been watching all your old videos and was wondering if you still used the Canon EOS R5 with the 15-35mm lens the most? If so, is it the RF or EF version and how did you deal with the "wobble"? Thank you!
Hi, Yes we still use the R5. We did not experience any wobble in the 15-35 until we updated the firmware. We had one of the first production models and some how luckily the first ones did not have this problem. I sent in the camera and lens into Canon and they said they could not fix it. We still use it but we have changed over to some older EF 16-35 and 24-70 non IS lenses in the meantime. I don't use it for client work anymore because of that issue. very unfortunate. The issue arrises with the wide IS lenses that can be turned off and on via the lens switch.. The internal 5 axis stabilization in the R5 is actually nice alone. For a while we thought we had the perfect setup :)
wow, $70k budget, I can't get anything here in San Diego for $70k other than a parking space. lol That is a daunting task! HOA on a bare lot? crazy.. Faris Negotiator. nice.
Faris owned a house, and I (Lisa) lived with him and then he sold it, and then we bought a van together where we traveled in it for 1.5 years and now we’re building this house together!
I love listening to people who speak english off the cuff. No scripts no grammar checks.
I never see lots this size and this price in Metro Detroit. Congratulations.

Welcome back and good luck on your build. If it was me, I'd stay away from any HOA. Hopefully your HOA doesn't impact/limit what you want to do...
Thanks Rodney!! And haha just wait for the next video 🫣

Seems like the perfect lot. Congrats.
are some of these beautiful lands located in Oregon ? 😊
Hi, this is in Michigan! :)
If you have money you can do everything nk problem😁👍
I would have gone lot 2. Can't do HOA again. Read your CCnR's very carefully.
Ahh we know!! We run into some issues with it in the next video 😅
Whats the total sqft of your home?
Maintaining a property this big will become a huge hastle. Hope you have thought about all that.
Ahh yes we know.. we’ll see how it goes, trial and error 😆
What is the sq footage of your home?
2800 SF
Michigan so cheap compared to Milwaukee metro area .
I'm confused. This is your first or second house?
Faris owned a house, and I (Lisa) lived with him and then he sold it, and then we bought a van together where we traveled in it for 1.5 years and now we’re building this house together!
What is the state?
Michigan!
