I was lucky enough to live in Telluride back in the early 80's...just when they were starting to build Mountain Village. It was the same as it is now (basically) I still go back every year to ski or mountain bike. My friends still live there and it's the best way to stay and play! Also, the town is close to the Colorado Trail, which is AMAZING! You guys captured the charm of T-Ride!
Hello you two. Greetings from Switzerland to my old Telluride. I enjoyed watching this now and the visuals were great. Telluride was called little Switzerland and on the wall in the school there, it had the Matterhorn on it. I was born in New Jersey in 1964 and in 1968 it was off to Idaho, then Pennsylvania, West Virginia, Maine, Breckenridge, Colorado, Oregon, then Telluride Colorado, then outside of Seattle, finishing high school, then California, just north of San Francisco. Met a Swiss girl during my ballet time there and she took me back to Zurich. 33 years here now and all is great. Telluride was and is my favorite place during my journies and John Denver`s Rocky Mountain High makes me cry every time. Thanks so much for this. Also, on the main street there is a movie theater and it was my first time kissing a girl on the lips during the first Star Wars film. Cannot forget that stuff either.

I've been to Telluride a few different times now. I HIGHLY recommend visiting Colin at Living Tea. Besides that, Blue Lake is an absolute MUST. Last time I was in Telluride was in October 2021 for the Fall and man that hike brought back so many memories 😭

almost take this town out of the itinerary but decide to put it back in after watching your video. the campsite you stayed right next to the blue lake trailhead, is it the "blue lake hut" marked on google? i am traveling solo next sept and is curious if the trailhead is safe enough to stay overnight in the SUV (i carcamp)
@@FarisandLisa We did the Blue Ridge Parkway last week. Boondocked at Pisgah Inn. We got "The Knock" around midnight. Busted our first try! Felt like two teenagers caught necking. LOL It was a lot of fun. LOL
I grew up in Telluride. It has changed so much since I lived there. You did a great job showing it. Have you taken the Durango to Silverton narrow gauge railroad? Also, you must go to Ouray and check that out. Also go to Lake City. Also do the Black Bear Pass and Imogene. Oh! Also go to Ophir. Go fishing at Alta Lakes and Trout Lake. Then come back in the winter for some skiing.
Telluride is fun place to visit in the summer, and you really highlight this in your video. Also, perfect recommendations of the top things to do! We recently hiked the Blue Lakes Trail, and it's in our top 10 all time favorite hikes. So beautiful! We didn't have a chance to see Bridal Veil Falls during our time in the area. Nice job capturing the it! Helpful video when planning a trip to Telluride! Well done! 👍

Hahah we do love pizza! We are so down for some bbq pizza. We actually just tried Alligator pizza the other day. It’s not actually alligator but the sauce is bbq with shrimp and jalapeños. Say I just canceled my 4 nights at Jasper National Park because of the fires. I am planning on going to Telluride and Ouray Colorado. Would you split it up 2 days at Telluride and 2 at Ouray or 3 days at Telluride and 1 day at Ouray?
Hi Catri, there is so much to do and lots of options for eating and other activities. It is quite manageable by walking around and you will get the feel of it quickly
We stayed in our RV in the local campground. The town really is not that big so whatever is in your budget will be in a decent location for all the thing we did :)
Hey F and S. Have either of you taken Econ 101? If so you would have learned what’s in demand is costly, what’s not in demand is cheap. If you’re looking for a cheaper place to live look no further than Hawthorn Nevada or Baker California. Let’s not complain about desirable expensive places!
Please remember to be respectful of our town. So many tourists have gone off trail and trashed local spots to the point where it’s illegal to access now. Please come experience how amazing my hometown is but BE RESPECTFUL!!!

I was there in 1977 so no gondola I'm pretty sure but it was really cool hiking to Bridal Veil for sure.

We love Telluride! blue lake gets the color from old mining tailings so I don’t think it’s safe to swim in tbh, It’s left over from the mining days.

I went there like 5 years ago, and it’s definitely one of the most beautiful places I’ve ever been.
Unbelievable and it’s far from a major airport which we think is great and hopefully preserves some of its charm for a long time!
