This is but one of the strongest cases for the myth of free will. People think they have it, but they don't. Realizing people have no free will allows you to attempt to think about their lives that they did not control. It doesn't mean nobody can be held responsible for what they do (this is a popular slippery slope fallacy that is often used for those who think free will is a thing).
Ira- Its not my fault!! She’s the one whose blackmailing me, I had no choice but to kill her. Police- Blackmailing you how? Ira- Well I was committing insurance fraud, and she threatened to tell on me. She’s a terrible person….
He turns a phrase like the subject matter turns my stomach. I've always had a suspicion that women working certain jobs like embalming corpses or butchering meat (and I don't mean just slicing some salami) weren't wired the same way other women are.
Ira & Kelly were out of step with the law and both turned out to be heels. Ira went ahead and put his foot in his mouth. If only they had walked back their plan they would not have stepped into such a legal mess.
I'm sure the car salesman hired to carry out the hit had to ponder internally, "What exactly is it about me that makes me look like a hitman?" Kudos to him for remaining cool enough to not give away the game, and contact the police, instead. I probably would have blurted out, "Wtf?? ...NO." Which would have only allowed them to contact someone else, who might have actually followed through...and made it harder for the police to track.

@Codehead3 Perhaps not, but ignoring unsafe defects in their products because improving the product would reduce profit and not providing decent working conditions for workers for the sake of a little more profit (Amazon warehouse employees having to urinate in bottles due to lack of breaks, for example) is certainly on the wickedness continuum.
That was a massive overgeneralization. That's like saying that all "poor people" are all criminals and uneducated. I became wealthy by living well below my means and having a niche skill, and I'm well aware that consequences are the same for me as for others, only I get to pay more taxes and am judged more when I only give 75% of my income to the charities I volunteer for.
Hi Dr Grande, from Southern California. Excellent analysis. This analysis would make a great episode on ID'S American Monster. As always I learn something new from your videos.
Never trust a woman who works in a funeral home. lol I say it facetiously but I see darkness in Kellie. Every photo of her screams she can't be trusted. Ira was caught in his own web of deceit which is poetic justice.🧚♀
@@morningdew224 Also, if it was only attempted they might try again, like in this case. So for the safety of the victim keep them locked up for awhile.
The only time I can remember that a person has paid the price for trying to hire a hitman was the case of Dahlia Dippolito. This happened in 2008. She went through 3 trials and was finally sent to prison about 5-6 yrs ago and I don't think she'll get out for another 10 yrs. She spent all that time waiting for what turned out to be a conviction, which must weighed on her. On house arrest, she had a kid that she won't be raising (thank God) What a long drawn out wreck. I'm glad her husband survived this ordeal and is doing well, from what I hear.
It's hard to decide if this case is a tragedy or a comedy. It seems anyone getting close to the doctor will go down with him. They will get the blame and shame and he will play the victim card . . .
A luxury car salesman, 'gauged exactly' these two's "wants" so well! So much so, the callous duo thought, they were the *masters* in the (final) decision making...
Thanks Doc. My Sunday just became significantly better thanks to your entertaining and informative profiles and critiques. Ira is obviously criminally insane.
I grew up in Rockland county NY which is a suburb of NYC! BTW, there are no alligators in Rockland, there might be though, we had a neighbor that used to go to Florida every year and bring back baby alligators as pets , but once the alligators got too big , they would put them in the sewers ! 😳
UM, the cops and the Insurance dudes doing a photo shoot and passing the smell test, LOL. Here is the deal, anyone that tries to hire a "hit man" is already a loser, and the only people that you are going talk to are cops. "Hit Men" are a fantasy of the rich, yeah, I can just walk into a certain bar, and just pay a guy to make my problems go away. DUDE, they are cops, and they get paid to put guys like you behind bars. I am not a fan of cops, but this kind of police work I can get behind. The amount of cops in dive bars, and rooting out these rich aholes on the regular for wanting their wives to go away, with your help. It's a weird fantasy and thank goodness the cops know it.

I became wealthy by living well below my means and having a niche skill, and I'm well aware that consequences are the same for me as for others, only I get to pay more taxes and am judged more when I only give 75% of my income to the charities I volunteer for.
@@Nylak-Otter There are always exceptions. Good for you for not allowing your success to override your moral acumen 👍
@@Codehead3 I read in book by Bill Eddy that around 15 per cent of CEO's have antisocial personality disorder, i.e., are psychopaths. Not good news.
“Only slightly more revolting than a corpse” 😂
This needs to be a movie
Starring Danny DeVito and Bette Midler..
Very scary the court gave them such a small sentence for trying to have someone killed. Hopefully this second time he will get a longer sentence.
Young doctor! It's your biggest fan from Springfield Illinois great reaction and analysis thanks man
Always try to be slightly less revolting than a corpse.
Hi Dr Grande, from Southern California.
Excellent analysis. This analysis would make a great episode on ID'S American Monster.
As always I learn something new from your videos.
"Low disgust threshold "...lol 😂
Any doctor making that much money is raising red flags about possible insurance fraud.
$40K a month on clothes and stuff?!? Well hello Zsa Zsa Gabor, jeez!
I like all the foot metaphors 😂
I watched for the foot related comments and I am satisfied 😂😂😂
Dr Grande bringing the burn with the corpse snark lol.
The amount of foot puns..Dr. Grande you are a storytelling genius .
Never trust a woman who works in a funeral home. lol I say it facetiously but I see darkness in Kellie. Every photo of her screams she can't be trusted. Ira was caught in his own web of deceit which is poetic justice.🧚♀
Imagine having to walk a mile in those shoes...yeesh!
Lol Your Saltine humour is great.
Good morning Dr. Grande and everyone 😊
Your are too funny! Love the foot jokes!
I don’t understand why attempted murder gets so much less prison than murder.
I have thought about this too. It’s like catching a murderer red handed is not as important as catching a murderer after murder took place.
@@morningdew224 Also, if it was only attempted they might try again, like in this case. So for the safety of the victim keep them locked up for awhile.
Exactly!! Attempting murder+ incompetence= less jail time why???
The only time I can remember that a person has paid the price for trying to hire a hitman was the case of Dahlia Dippolito. This happened in 2008. She went through 3 trials and was finally sent to prison about 5-6 yrs ago and I don't think she'll get out for another 10 yrs. She spent all that time waiting for what turned out to be a conviction, which must weighed on her. On house arrest, she had a kid that she won't be raising (thank God) What a long drawn out wreck. I'm glad her husband survived this ordeal and is doing well, from what I hear.
I agree! The intended victim isn’t dead, but not for lack of trying by the criminal!
$40,000.00 a month??? Unbelievable!!
Agree.
Craziness. She should be ashamed of herself.
But what about "trickle down?"
Don’t marry gold digger. Nobody can afford one😂
All that money and obviously not happy.
Dr. Grande is brilliant. His sense of humor is what we once called 'dry', or 'dead-pan'. Hilarious AND informative!
This is such a crazy story !! Susan should move to another continent lol. Sad! Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family Dr Grande 🤍
This guys dry delivery of so many foot puns is killing me 🤣
Love all of the foot pins 😂. Any Thanksgiving themed cases you have coming up?
I love Dr Grande sense of humour & play on words
It's hard to decide if this case is a tragedy or a comedy. It seems anyone getting close to the doctor will go down with him. They will get the blame and shame and he will play the victim card . . .
My one complaint about this video is its lack of foot puns...
they were there
@@goat9199whoosh
The word play is great in this episode, Dr G. Now, if we could find a case involving a proctologist. .😉
A luxury car salesman, 'gauged exactly' these two's "wants" so well! So much so, the callous duo thought, they were the *masters* in the (final) decision making...
Dr G and his dry ass humor😂😂 love it 🎉
Thanks Doc. My Sunday just became significantly better thanks to your entertaining and informative profiles and critiques. Ira is obviously criminally insane.
I love your spin on words, the puns. ❤ Thanks
We must always remember to put ourselves in other peoples shoes, to truly understand what is happening in this situation. 🌵 .
In bars?
I lived in Rockland! Sounds accurate
Thanks I haven’t been able to watch much lately because work is busy but I have missed it. Take care!
