***** About Venison for Dinner *****
Thank you for joining us on this crazy journey! Our family- Kate and Marius plus our five kids, have always enjoyed living a homemade life whenever possible. Moving 1000 miles north in 2017 to Northern BC, Canada upped our game even more. We live on a 34 acre homestead and get a kick out of things like raising our own meat, dairy and vegetables. Theres plenty of failures, you’ll be sure to see those here too. We’re a homeschooling family who believes life is the best teacher but we do hit the books in winter. I’m so glad you’re here, I hope you stick around!
We put out a new video every Wednesday morning! We hope you will become part of our homestead family by subscribing to our channel and watching as we give up the rat race and live simpler, more fulfilling life in the country.

I love what you said about lists. I totally love writing things and crossing them off. Sometimes I'll get something done that I didn't have on my list and I'll add it to the list just so I can cross it off. There's nothing like looking at a long list of crossed-off items at the end of the day.

I’m overwhelmed watching you cook so much in a day, but you get a break later and can help others. All looks great. Haven’t had lunch yet so making me hungry. 😋

I have limited cabinets, until I put in a bakers island for more storage and work surface. I also have limited baking dishes, so I freeze my meals and then pop them out to store in a zip lock freezer bag. And then just put it back in when I'm ready to bake it. Hope this helps! It frees up my baking dishes until I'm ready to bake.

@@VenisonforDinner thanks, I've done it for 20 plus years. Really helps when I don't have a bunch of baking dishes. My grandmother showed me how.

OMGoodness I adore you!!! I have been going it through this week My auto-immune is in a flare. I had to call out from work today, which I feel HORRIBLE for. i slept all day got nothing done.( Not even my Wed vid up) I am broke out all over my arms from contact dermititis from what I think is my cucumber plants, which will teach me to wear long sleeves when I go into the garden. However. I saw you potatoes, and it just made me laugh!!! I LOVE how real you are!!! They were sprouting all over...You are so great! Shhh do not tell eveyone I am feeding you this but I am showing you how real I am...I am sure they were delicious! You are so down to earth! I Felt like I got nothing done today, well I did not. And it is hard for me to accept that. I know I do have limitations, but, I really have this work ethic in my brain, so I have a hard time accepting my bodies limits. Well anyway. Thank you for giving me a spot of joy! I really love the homesteading community! My goal is to get this zucchini and yellow squash preserved on Friday. by breads, freezing, and roasting. So 1 day at a time! Thanks for being a part of my community that brings me joy and I can learn from! Thanks again!! I so enjoy waching your vids!!

Love that stored potato jungle! What a blessed family to have you working so hard to generously nourish the mama and new baby! ❤🙏🏼 We eat a lotta fried rice here. Always a hit. I like topping mine with kimchi & basil when it's growing.

Ha! I write lists! I always put what I get done … as a Virgo, I love to feel that sense of accomplishment. It’s so satisfying to cross something off the darn list! 😊

I needed this reminder to prep some freezer meals. For my family. For a friend who's pregnant with baby #2. To have on hand for the rest of the harvest and into the winter.
