Thanks Kate! Nearly 37 weeks with my 8th over here in Australia. Really appreciated your emphasis on rest postpartum. Something I find hard to do but I am convinced is very important, so will be sure to prioritise it this time around. Also, have to agree about holding a newborn, I have always held and nursed my new babies as much as I could for the longest time and they are so much happier that way.
Followed your happenings for years now, I think since a comment you left on Quinn's blog many years ago. Blessings for your upcoming birth!!
Oh also, like you said, that feeling when you get to hold your baby immediately after birth is like nothing in the world! We are blessed!

Oh my goodness! I just watched the story about Amos's birth & then this one. I am feeling so emotional with memories! I have 5 adult children, the last two I had at home. All my babies were over 8 lbs, 9 lbs & my last was 10 1/2 lbs!! I had them all from age 19-29. It was the best time in my life having & raising my babies! (I used to talk about it all the time...now I rarely do.) I'm 72 and every memory was so clear as I listened to you! I always kept my babies in my arms by instinct because my mom believed babies needed to cry & learn to be alone. 😢 I went against her...💔 Thank you for telling your stories. You're awesome, Kate! 💕

It truly is an honour to hold this space, share our life and in doing so evoke good memories for others ✨❤️

This is really good. I have had 3, and the the pregnancy and birth were both very hard on my body. Also, I was a little older with #3, 37yrs old, and my body felt it compared to being 29yrs old. "Birth is Marathon and you need to prepare" very true! Exercise as well as eating healthy, even just walking, really helps the body be prepared for the trauma your body experiences.
