The year is 2066, Nate can’t find any more than 7 tiny details we still may have missed in the elder scrolls 5: Skyrim, the hope is dwindling, the future is dark.
Been playing Skyrim again after a long time for about a month now, and I have discovered a few details that may or may not have been mentioned in this series already. 1. While you can run into Vigilants of Stendarr or a group of vampires as a random encounter, you can also run into a group of vampires, who are dressed up as Vigilants, with the looted bodies of the original owners of the garments just off to the side. They will approach you and talk to you, but not sure how much or what, they end up attacking almost immediately for me. 2. Many of us have seen the dining room in Falkreath Dark Brotherhood sanctuary, but has anyone noticed that the spots on the table are set specifically for EACH Dark Brotherhood assassin. There is raw beef for Abjorn (werewolf), salmon at the end of the table for Astrid right next to Abjorn's spot (fancy low fat food for the leader), pheasant roast and nord mead for Festus (good for an old nord), roast venison for what I assume are Vezaara and Nazir, an 8th empty spot for us or Cisero (or possibly Babette). Personally I believe the spot with cheese and tomato is for Babette, since it is right next to Astrid. 3. In Riften there is a trader shop called Pawned Prawn, that has a somewhat hidden safe in it. What is weird/special about it, is that it is FULL of "To A Concerned Citizen" notes, that talk about the shop keepers uniting against the Thieves Guild. These notes have NO PURPOSE in any quest! So you are not likely to notice them.
Tiny Detail Alert: -The dragons, the trolls, and the giants are the only non-animal creatures with no obvious females, unlike other creatures, like Falmer and Rieklings -To the Southeast of the Forgotten Vale is a waterfall that, if the player approaches or falls down with Serana nearby, will trigger some unique dialogue from her -In the Castle Volkihar ruins, there is a statue to Mara, still covered in lit candles, like it's still being used -The Stormcloaks have significantly more female npcs than the Imperials, possibly due to the fact that Nords are based on Vikings and Imperials are based on Romans -Following a fox will lead the player to places of interest -The sky in the Soul Cairn resembles an eye, and the souls within may say "They're always watching," which might be connected to the sky's appearance -If you return through the Black Book (Waking Dreams, I believe) after completing the Dragonborn quest line, the player can exchange skill points for dragon souls at the setup around the "arena" they fought Miraak in -In the Forgotten Vale, there is a massive frozen lake concealing two dragons below. Walking on the lake will trigger a fight where they will rise from the water and attack. Nearby, there are two skeletons, one with a sword in its chest, and the other clutching two resist fire potions -People living in the Reach tend to wear much more elaborate face-paint than people in other holds -The dragon at the Western Watchtower may say (I've only seen it once, and I had to have subtitles on to catch it) "Dovahkiin, no," as the player slays him, that being the true first time the player is called Dovahkiin.
its also interesting to note (with stormcloaks having more female soldiers vs the imperial legion) that the imperial legion in skyrim only has one named woman, legate rikke, and she herself is a nord
little detail: when you go to rescue esbern from the ratway you can run out without him following and go back to delphine, where she will proceed to yell at the dragonborn for leaving esbern behind in the sewers with the Thalmor
Recent playthrough that happened. Didn't realize that he needed a minute to grab things before we left. So I got yelled at and had to make my way back and he was still in his room collecting things lol
Ustengrav is one of a rare few places in my Skyrim that doesn't respawn anything. All the others seem to respawn at regular intervals without resetting the "cleared" tag.
There is actually some dialogue hinting that deeja is related to gulumi, if u talk to her she will say, "talk to egg brothers, deeja has no words for you"
You know my favourite part of Skyrim. There’s all this involved in it and when I’m going through tough times and can’t afford internet (or food) I can go into this world and forget my problems for a while < : )
This is a tiny detail , Nate! In a playthrough, while in the Soul Cairn, I was a hopeless low-leveled mage. Against those Keeper guys, I had no chance. As I ran away in terror, I noticed that after a while, I was no longer being chased. I searched around and eventually found the beast due to me hearing him "attacking" something. He was at one of those glowing well things.... chasing a soul wisp. Mind you, those wisps don't do anything at all except float around. Well apparently that pissed the big guy off enough to chase him and attempt to hit him, missing every time. He wouldn't stop EVEN WHEN I WAS SHOOTING HIM WITH MY MAGIC. He was an angry boi, and not at me, which allowed me to give him chip damage and finish him off. Thank you soul wisp. Anyway, I thought it was interesting because those wisps do nothing but float around, and yet the Keeper sees it as an enemy. I have it recorded as it was too funny! Keep up the good work, Nate! ♡
#detail I stumbled upon this by accident during my playthrough. During the quest "The Book of Love," you are at one point tasked to help Calcelmo. At the end of his section of the quest, he goes and talks to Faleen, Jarl Igmund's housecarl, who is his crush. Well, in my game I joined the Stormcloaks and beat the Civil War questline, causing Igmund and Faleen to be forced to stay in Solitude. Well, funny thing is that Calcemo will run all the way to Solitude to talk to if that is the case. I'd give better detail, but I am very tired and trying to stay awake. I hope you find this humorous and decide to use it.
Yes haha. Dungeons not cleared will respawn after 10 days and cleared after 30. But honestly 30 days is such a long time. You can complete all the DLCs without even a month passing
Tiny detail: Just northeast of Nilheim, in the waters outside the exit to Darkwater Pass, is a skeleton partially buried in the mud. It has some armor, a weapon, a knapsack-and a heavy block tied to its leg.
I actually have an alternative theory for the placing of the skull and hands around the thief book. In many of the ancient countries the penalty for stealing was first to cut off the thief's hand. The second time they got caught stealing, they'd lose the other. Finally if the thief was caught for a third time, they would be beheaded. Two severed hands and a severed head surrounding a book named "Thief". I can see what they did there.
Has he mentioned cows count as witnesses to crimes. I went on a post save murder spree to blow off some steam, somewhere in the middle of it I killed a cow and it reduced my bounty, as per "no more witnesses" So now he needs to make a video about Skyrim cow court...
Here's a tiny DETAIL after completing the a night to remember quest, if you exit the dungeon, wait for a few days and return, you will find SANGUINE there fighting some mages. After killing them he won't do anything though just walk around. Hope you mention this !
Maybe, the big obstacle is actually recording those games and getting them to run. They’re on much harder to work with engines than Skyrim, so the mechanics of filming and camera movement make it quite a bit harder. I shouldn’t promise anything but I’ve always thought about it.
Ah but my good sir, you have missed one very small detail about Ustengrav. It may or may not be the reason for not having a clear tag but, the dungeon's boss had already been killed by Delphene long before you get there. Because remember she got to the horn first, so she likely had to slay the boss.
Tiny detail: Birds don't have any health and are basically just animated corpses. I found this when I hit a bird with a pacify spell over water so it took no damage but it still died. If you want to see for yourself I recommend going to castle volkihar where all the boats are crashed
I’ve got a bunch of tiny details for you. On Ironbind Overlook there is a “path” that leads to a Dwemer pillar. There are some goodies (and baddies!) at the base of the pillar. There are also a few potions on top of it! If you clear Fort Neugrad before the civil war questline Imperial soldiers will move in. Here’s some pre-special addition secrets. In the quest “The Straw that Broke," Narfi originally rewarded you with a human heart and flesh. Also; the iron arrows in the river were once ancient Nord. If you have 20 Jazbay grapes when you first talk to Avursa Sarethi about her problems you will unlock unique dialogue. You can obtain the Poetic Edda before starting the Bard’s college questline. Tucked away in the Rift are some Dwemer ruins ; the location is named “Ruins of Rkund.” A wispmother guards the area. Wispmothers only appear in specific locations; some marked some not. Head to a wiki to find the others! Your archery skill and the bow you are using effect your accuracy. By this I mean that the arrows can fly straighter, farther and faster! According to a wiki; after obtaining the Jagged Crown you can betray the side you joined, by giving it to the opposing faction. In the Dawnguard DLC you can find "Feral Falmer" in Darkfall Grotto. They look different from other Falmer; and are hostile to the normal ones! (That are not also "feral"). Also tucked away in the vale are two creatures called shellbugs. You can mine (Yes, mine) them for shellbug chitin. You can only take so much from them though; else they'll die! On the plus side, they do respawn. :) You have so many videos! So if I've mentioned one you've already covered, then many apologies.
On one of my Skyrim playthroughs, I helped Angela of the potion shop in Solitude and immediately fast traveled to the Whiterun stables only to find Angela to be leaving Whiterun. I found it kind of cool that Bethesda put in the detail that she went to Whiterun to probably collect the belongings of her now passed daughter
Fun fact about arrows in skyrim. If you time it correctly (or button mash repeatedly) you can catch arrows that have been fired at you by an enemy . Or you can bounce it off of dwarven machines, and catch it over and over. It can be tricky to do, but it's entertaining to grab a bandit's arrow and fire it back.
Hey Nate, here's a little something for the next part. If you own Breezehome before doing the quest to warn Balgruuf about Helgen (only doable with mods), the guard at the front gate has some unique dialogue where you say you're a resident of the city
@@dr.blockcraft6633 No, it used a unique vanilla voice line for the guards answer. and as far as i know, the word "Resident" isnt used anywhere else in the game
In the Forgotten Vale, there are _at least_ 2 trolls (or a giant troll) with special keys. Take them. One troll is by a river up in the mountains and, on the opposite side of the river is a platform with a pedestal to insert the special keys. Doing so leads to some nice loot, to include flawless gems. The other troll was further down the mountain, diagonal from a waterfall (if I'm remembering correctly). Please. It's such an amazing find. I've only found 2 of the special keys and they're worth a good bit of gold too...
I really enjoy all of your videos! Oh, on #7 Hidden cashes of Fort Dawnguard, there is a cave hidden in the rock-face in the fort that leads you to a couple of maze-like chambers that contain a lot of good loot. I always thought that these were the cashes that were spoken of. Just a fun little extra detail I thought might help.
You have gone over 530 tiny details that we may have missed in The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim during the entirety of this series. Edit: Changed 553 to 530.
Hey Nate, here's a tiny detail for ya! Inside Fort Dunstad, at least when it's occupied by bandits, there is a bathroom of sorts. On a stone shelf next to one of the buckets there is a potion of True Shot...maybe one of those bandits has a problem with aiming, if you know what I mean...
Thank you for getting me back into Skyrim for the first time in what feels like years, I've started a new game as a pure mage and I'm really enjoying it!
A small detail i remember is when you kill someone while in stealth and a guard is there and you approach the body with your weapon drawn the guard will approach you and ask you questions like “did you have to do something with this” like that. To do this follow these steps (use a bow and kill a bystander in stealth that can be killed do this in whiterun and do not sheath your bow then wait for a guard to approach the body then approach the guard with the bow you used to kill the bystander then wait) Idk if you already covered this im sorry for repeating im sorry i just thought it was a small detail
if youre wondering why Nate refers to Gulum-Ei as brother/sister to Deeja and Jaree, its because in a way, argonians can be genderfluid and through the Hist under go complete gender change! its very cool and i love skyrim lore like this.
You've done so many of these videos it's hard to keep track of what ones you done but I just saw something amusing in Skyrim I'd honestly never seen before. Just north west of the Shrine of Peryite in a pool of water is the corpse of a woman who was swimming. Nearby on a rock are her clothes and jewellery perfectly laid out in a row. Alongside a journel.
Suggestion for a tiny detail (actually two), both regarding some gem placements: First, in Brittleshin pass, there is one of the usual nordic ruin stone faces, but with Flawless Garnets placed in its eyes. Second, in Korvanjund Crypt, in the room where you find the Jagged Crown, there is an out of reach bowl containing various gems. They can be knocked down with stuff like Unrelenting Force.
Detail : When ever you metion the very beginning of the game you never know why alduin steps in and saves you. The reason was that he went to save ulfric. If the war ended he would not have any more souls to feed on in sovenguard. Someone says thins in game but can't remember who. Hope that counts as one.
NATE one tiny detail is that with the Dawnguard DLC, if you sided with the Dawnguard, after you've killed Lord Harkon if you have Serana as a follower you can ask her if she'll cure her vampirism. From here there are a few dialogue options and after the conversation is over she'll say that she's going away for a couple of days. She can be found at Falion's house in Morthal. After a few in-game days Serrano will be at Fort Dawnguard cured of vampirism
Hey Nate, here’s a tiny detail that’s a bit of a stretch, but interesting nonetheless. In the Scottish capital of Edinburgh, there are two main landmarks. The castle of Edinburgh and Holyrood Palace, the monarch’s Scottish home. They are directly connected by a straight street that goes through the city , called the Royal Mile. This connection of castle and palace, is also seen in Solitude! Castle Dour and the Blue Palace are connected by a straight road. Both castles are west of both palaces. Compare maps, you’ll see what I mean. Love the videos!
Hey Nate, this is a tiny detail. The name of the lady stone in the local map mode is the lady doomstone. I learned this when i opened the my local map when standing next to the lady stone, idk if the this is a reference or something but either way i thought it was interesting
The sunfire caches do exist in the game, after a certain quest, named Dawngaurd agents will be patrolling, in their inventories are notes explaining their locations throughout Skyrim, the caches will nit spawn until the respective notes are read.
Ok two tiny details I found in my playthroughs; 1. If you kill Gaius Maro in the bannered mare in whiterun during the quest Breaching Security, there's a chance Hulda will tell Saadia to clean up the blood stain from "the incident" 2. The weight measurement in Tamriel is Angaids and the height is pertans. In the book The Pig Children( obtainable from the Bards college, Urag-gro shub in the arcaneum or on Grelod the Kinds body) both measurements are listed by name
17:06 oh come on! You're going to make someone make a character especially skilled in bypassing this bandit, getting the helmet, and place it in their inventory.
Tiny detail; If you have already started learning the whirlwind sprint the gray beards will say something to the effect of 'I see you have already learned the first word of the whirlwind sprint.' and then teach you the second or third word of the sprint before unlocking the first.
My travels have brought me from one land to another and in the journey i have found wisdom theepic one teaches us well and i spread his truths everywhere i go.
Its possible you were originally supposed to murder to death (or at least defeat) Jurgen, but the boss fight was scrapped. Therefore the npc holding the title was deleted
It (maybe) is possible to return the horn to the grave, after speaking with the grey beards. You even get a dragonsoul. Perhaps then the dungeon will be then marked as cleared. Note: I say it is maybe possible to return the horn because I don't if this is possible in Vanilla or through DLC or mods.
Detail- I don’t know if you already covered this, or if it’s the sort of thing you’re looking for, but it is possible for a body to get stuck on the doors that you open with a lever. I don’t know if it’s intentional or a glitch, but in Rannveig’s Fast, Sild happened to die near one of the doors. I think the door was open at the time, I closed it, and when I opened it again, Sild’s dead body got pulled up as if he had been impaled and stuck on the gate spikes. I had fun for a while just opening and closing the gate, watching Sild’s body go up and down. I don’t know if it was a random glitch, or if that routinely happens when you close a gate on a dead body. Thought I’d mention it though. Love your channel by the way.
Hey idk if you included this detail in any video before but in the Aetherium Forge, just entering the cavern, there is a big lake in which at the bottom you can fin a filled grand soulgem. But also, when you go up the stairs and take the right gate, not the one that takes you directly to the forge, but the one that takes you to a river, there's also another filled soulgem at the bottom of the river. It's quite a small detail but I've never seen something like that in another dungeon or dwemer ruin
Funny thing about Ustengrav if you return the horn of jurgen windcaller back to its rightful place on his coffin the location should be flagged as cleared and you should receive a dragon soul for your efforts as well

@Stavros S. - the Forsworn are primarily made up of Bretons and Imperials. "Reachmen" is just another term for Forsworn.
@Stavros S. - I guess.
The fox one has long since been debunked.

Will ya ever do videos like this for morrowind and oblivion? Just curious.
Maybe, the big obstacle is actually recording those games and getting them to run. They’re on much harder to work with engines than Skyrim, so the mechanics of filming and camera movement make it quite a bit harder.
I shouldn’t promise anything but I’ve always thought about it.
TheEpicNate315 understandable
TheEpicNate315 maybe when skywind and skyblivion are out?
Oblivion yes please!
illminate gaming might be a long while when that happens.
Ah but my good sir, you have missed one very small detail about Ustengrav. It may or may not be the reason for not having a clear tag but, the dungeon's boss had already been killed by Delphene long before you get there. Because remember she got to the horn first, so she likely had to slay the boss.
ahhh I see what you're saying. we have to kill Delphine.
on it. tbh was kinda hoping someone would ask.
Tiny detail:
Birds don't have any health and are basically just animated corpses. I found this when I hit a bird with a pacify spell over water so it took no damage but it still died.
If you want to see for yourself I recommend going to castle volkihar where all the boats are crashed

Nathanial?
Getting fancy are we?
Well I do declare!
On the next Skyrim video you should say Skyrim is large animals hunted for sport, aka "big game"
How many tiny details DOES Skyrim have, Nathaniel?
I commend you for still keeping this going. I've over 7,000 hours play time in Skyrim and I still occasionally learn here \[T]/
A night to remember is a reference to the first hangover movie, watch it its exactly the same!
Seizure Goat oh my god how have I only just realised that
Goat=tiger
Hagraven=stripper
Yeah same
@@zigzgshodzixhoxohxh3800 yea the hangover was also made in 2007 when skyrim was made in 2011 so it must be a reference
You have so many videos!
Nate knows more about Skyrim than Bethesda does at this point lmao
But bathesta put them in their ga.... No?
4 Rata the fact that you edited it and there is still typos in it is infuriating
Peak & Peak that was a bug, my hand was buggy. Ahhh
4 Rata R/wooooosh
@@nono-zc1dj how infuriating ?
Fun fact about arrows in skyrim. If you time it correctly (or button mash repeatedly) you can catch arrows that have been fired at you by an enemy . Or you can bounce it off of dwarven machines, and catch it over and over. It can be tricky to do, but it's entertaining to grab a bandit's arrow and fire it back.
That reminds me I have have something to do in the cloud district later
Nazeem is so pissed right now
Kill Nazeem?
Hey Nate, here's a little something for the next part.
If you own Breezehome before doing the quest to warn Balgruuf about Helgen (only doable with mods), the guard at the front gate has some unique dialogue where you say you're a resident of the city
P.S: the mod i used to discover this was Live Another Life, and i chose the option where you start with breezehome
@@dr.blockcraft6633
No, it used a unique vanilla voice line for the guards answer.
and as far as i know, the word "Resident" isnt used anywhere else in the game
In the Forgotten Vale, there are _at least_ 2 trolls (or a giant troll) with special keys. Take them. One troll is by a river up in the mountains and, on the opposite side of the river is a platform with a pedestal to insert the special keys. Doing so leads to some nice loot, to include flawless gems. The other troll was further down the mountain, diagonal from a waterfall (if I'm remembering correctly). Please. It's such an amazing find. I've only found 2 of the special keys and they're worth a good bit of gold too...
@5:38 Nate: "Now if we only could have gotten someone to do the same thing regarding horses and gravity."
Me: "That's somewhat blasphemy, Nate."
I have a ting detail
When you first meet Amaund Motierre his voice actor claps
Howdy Nate, hope you're having a great day today. Glad to see you post
Thanks Nate! I love watching your videos every time they come out!
You have gone over 530 tiny details that we may have missed in The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim during the entirety of this series.
Edit: Changed 553 to 530.
530 details, not 553
Hey Nate, here's a tiny detail for ya! Inside Fort Dunstad, at least when it's occupied by bandits, there is a bathroom of sorts. On a stone shelf next to one of the buckets there is a potion of True Shot...maybe one of those bandits has a problem with aiming, if you know what I mean...
It’s crazy I’ve now watched 530 tiny details in the elder scrolls V Skyrim
Good job
Hey I’m Nate. Could I get another “hey Nate, it’s guys here”?
Thank you for getting me back into Skyrim for the first time in what feels like years, I've started a new game as a pure mage and I'm really enjoying it!
Really disappointed they didn't just name it "The Good Helmet"
You know who uploads at 6 in the morning?
A Synth.
Yeah, well in America its 4 in the afternoon XD
@@CatAdvantage Oh ok lol. I'm in Australia haha
@Dick Grayson yup, even more so because Australia's not real lol
AND?!
Awwww shit here we go again
I do believe the “cleared” tag means stuff CAN respawn. And that Ustengrav can be used as kind of a player home since containers never resets
Actually, cleared dungeons and caves respawn every 30 days.
Nate: the same spells on the creation club are the same from oblivion
Me: oh cool refrence... wait a minute
A small detail i remember is when you kill someone while in stealth and a guard is there and you approach the body with your weapon drawn the guard will approach you and ask you questions like “did you have to do something with this” like that. To do this follow these steps (use a bow and kill a bystander in stealth that can be killed do this in whiterun and do not sheath your bow then wait for a guard to approach the body then approach the guard with the bow you used to kill the bystander then wait)
Idk if you already covered this im sorry for repeating im sorry i just thought it was a small detail
if youre wondering why Nate refers to Gulum-Ei as brother/sister to Deeja and Jaree, its because in a way, argonians can be genderfluid and through the Hist under go complete gender change! its very cool and i love skyrim lore like this.
They can only do it as kids, they stay whatever gender they are as adults, sorry dude, your only partially right lol
Wolvesbayne 156 its still cool
They arent genderfluid. They can ask the Hist Tree to change their sex with a big ritual. And they can do this as whatever race.
NIce vid man, luv this series:) keep it up!
Suggestion for a tiny detail (actually two), both regarding some gem placements:
First, in Brittleshin pass, there is one of the usual nordic ruin stone faces, but with Flawless Garnets placed in its eyes.
I'll be honest, the Nathaniel really threw me off for a second! Lol ❤️
I gave the helmet back to the bandit...
After I killed him and put it on his corpse.
Could you sneak past (invisble), get the helmet, then reverse pickpocket it to him? Maybe a calm spell?
well here i am having nothing to say but it would probably be something about the amount of tiny details
Remember 6 years ago where he was herobrine
Nathaniel ? Damn , "Nate" does sound weird when you say it like that.
I like it though.
Just wanna say thanks to Nate for always bringing us quality content. Despite how busy he is.
Cheers
MFW I see another 10 tiny details even though I’ve played through Skyrim 7 times
Your videos always brighten my day. Keep up the great work, Nate!
Still convinced TES6 will be out before you run out of ideas.
I always like to put on the Everything Skyrim playlist when I play to really get me in the mood. And his voice is nice and chill too.
53 parts and this is the first one UA-cam recommends lol
Thank you so much for still making videos❤️❤️ I can’t believe that I’m STILL learning things about Skyrim! Thank youuu!!!
I hope for a time in ES 6 that Nate tells us about a easter egg put into the game, about him.
Ok two tiny details I found in my playthroughs;
1. If you kill Gaius Maro in the bannered mare in whiterun during the quest Breaching Security, there's a chance Hulda will tell Saadia to clean up the blood stain from "the incident"
2. The weight measurement in Tamriel is Angaids and the height is pertans. In the book The Pig Children( obtainable from the Bards college, Urag-gro shub in the arcaneum or on Grelod the Kinds body) both measurements are listed by name
Hey Nate. Tiny Detail but i love you and all your hard work. Keep it up.
17:06 oh come on! You're going to make someone make a character especially skilled in bypassing this bandit, getting the helmet, and place it in their inventory.
Nate - Nathaniel, whatever. I've been waiting since *Starfall* for just one mammoth tusk!
Nooooo
your second name is ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC
Tiny detail; If you have already started learning the whirlwind sprint the gray beards will say something to the effect of 'I see you have already learned the first word of the whirlwind sprint.' and then teach you the second or third word of the sprint before unlocking the first.
My travels have brought me from one land to another and in the journey i have found wisdom theepic one teaches us well and i spread his truths everywhere i go.
Ustengrav is the resting place of Jurgen windcaller right? But we do not kill his draugr. So maybe this is the reason why its never cleared.
Detail-
I don’t know if you already covered this, or if it’s the sort of thing you’re looking for, but it is possible for a body to get stuck on the doors that you open with a lever.
3 things that would make Nate even better
1. a podcast about elder scrolls lore
2. a book series with audio by him
3. him implemented into TES 6
I feel like this game might be a bit...too thicc.
Finally another top 10 (tiny) details you may have missed in skyrim video to make my week better ❤✌
I'm going to follow the honningbrew Mede recipe I'm sure that will end well
You deserve a medal for these series Nate! 👏🏻
First! I really love these videos, they're really entertaining, please keep making these! (You're one of my favorite UA-camrs)
Funny thing about Ustengrav if you return the horn of jurgen windcaller back to its rightful place on his coffin the location should be flagged as cleared and you should receive a dragon soul for your efforts as well
