DJI are great at making material and camera material at that but when it comes to making a video explaining how to use said camera tool, they’re not a touch on you, thank you!
@@photoshopcafe it was worth the wait, I was happy to have found your channel. I watched at least 50 videos pertaining to the DJI Gimble but most of the honest You Tubers are now Capitalist Zombies or their ego outshines their videos. Your videos are very informative and easy to to follow. Thank You. I have a Black Magic 6K Pro and its bulky and difficult to balance at times on the RS 4
Omg..you made me laugh like 3 times when you smiled setting up the Raven eye😂😂😂😂😂😂....I backed it up 3 times...you were so happy to set up the Raven😂😂😂😂😂
Hi! Great video! Very helpful :) Maybe you know the solution of my problem with the Raveneye? My RS4 pro is brand new an I try to set it up with my Sony FX3 for the first time. But after connecting the cables the way you do the light on the Raveneye only shows red - it never turns blue, and it doesn't show up on my iPhones Wifi (Which is on and the Bluetooth is of). Any idea of what my problem can be?
Yes I agree, great video I needed! I got a little lost when taking out the wires. and moving them over to the focus wheel. I did it, but it doesn't make sense all the way. You can't use the Focus and the RSS at the same time. I don't how to word it so I'll explain it this way: Your first set up with all the wires allowed me to run it with my phone. The 2nd setup you took out a usbc wire and used it for the focus wheel. You can only do one at a time? Or is there a way to run Both setups at the same times. (good luck with understanding the question) lol
Great process compared to what I’ve seen on past videos. If your using a lens that has a lens foot would you suggested mounting it on that foot instead of the camera? I’m using a Sony 28-135mm
If that’s where your center of balance is and you have freedom of movement, you can try it. Although not an ideal gimbal lens, it might work. You’ll never use it at the longer settings. I usually use 17-28. But wanted to show you can set up a heavier lens
can we use raven eye for both controlling iso aperture shutter and seeing the image? is there any limitations like the camera only outputs to hdmi and not the actual screen, when using that mode?
I’m interested in the DJI products. Recently look for official website launched DJI FOCUS PRO ALL COMBO, what are different between in the RS4 PRO and FOCUS PRO ALL COMBO. If I wish to buy it what are best products option
Hi great video. I built the setup exactly the same way and also calibrated the focus motor. In manual mode, the lights on the lidar and the motor are permanently red and I can focus using the gimbal wheel. However, when I switch to automatic mode, the lidar turns green and the motor turns yellow. Although I have already calibrated. What could be the problem? I look forward to your feedback. Gladly also from the community. Thank you BR Tim from Germany
Hi, can anybody help me with something? I have the DJI RS4 and the plate (not the mounting plate) but the plate attached to the RS4 has came off, how do I put it back on?
Hi Colin, Another masterclass about gimbals. Well done! When you switch to vertical mode, it feels like there is no need to rebalance the gimbal. Is it correct ? I work with a SONY A7S3 + FE 16-35GM and I want to replace my RONIN SC with the RS4 or the RS4 pro - or even the RS3 mini. THANKS.
Make sure it’s not set to mass storage and Bluetooth is off. I’ve never used an FX3 so I’m not sure what settings it has, but on my cams, it’s always another setting. I wish the Sony menus would tell you what setting is preventing it, or even better, give you the ability to override them.
I had a similar problem with my Canon R6ii. It would show the USB as disabled when plugged in, and it was enabled when unplugged. I decide to try switching to streaming and connecting to a laptop. That worked, and surprisingly, when I went back to the gimbal, that mysteriously worked also.
With the Sony a7iii it's not that easy, as you're limited to what you can do. Meaning it looks like you can have either one function working while the other is on reserve. If I connect to the transmitter it won't allow me to view via phone view via app. if I with wires around and settings via camera. You can't use the record Botton on the rs4 to record via gimbal
I’m not familiar with the weight of those cams, but RS Pro has a hefty payload, so I’d be surprised if your rig is too heavy. Check DJI website for compatibility
What you didn't show is that after connecting your phone it will TOTALLY be hit by the gimbal when it swings out. How is everyone solving that problem?
Update.. I noticed the extra handle has a hotshoe on the end so I placed it there instead. Seems to be a pretty nice solution when holding device in briefcase mode.. otherwise phone will be angled down.
I've been looking for a tutorial for a z6II, NOBODY has this setup. One thing im going to try is using IOS. The issue i keep running into is that i keep getting a disconnect issue from Bluetooth once i connect the raven eye. It doesn't allow both connections at the same time with my Samsung galaxy s23 ultra. So that may be something i need to change.
Raveneye uses WiFi, you shouldn’t need Bluetooth at that point. You could connect the camera to the RSS on raveneye instead of the one on RS4 to let RE control camera
@photoshopcafe yes, so you can do that. But once you do, you lose control of the gimbal and all the Bluetooth functions. All you're left with is a view of the camera display and nothing else. It's very frustrating, to say the least. Perhaps I'm also doing something wrong. Hopefully, I can get it figured out.
Good Tutorial. My Quick-Release Plate (Arca-Swiss/Manfrotto) DJI RS3, It couldn't handle the weight of my 24-70 Sigma lens for Canon with EF RF converter and the lens support was rubbing against the zoom. I hope this new version can handle the weight of the 1300g lens + the camera.

When adding everything and trying to balance again the 3 axis don't stay in place in any position you place it in like when we first balanced it. Is this normal? Didn't see you do it at the end so I'm not sure.
