    Not sure what’s so wrong with short term pleasures. It’s something you may have greater control and affecting greater ability to accomplish certain things that are very important , like helping others, sharing memorable times with ones you love.
    Maybe if the short term gratification was only to fulfill your personal ego and want in alignment with your core values and there was an opportunity to be doing something that was then delaying immediately gratification may be better. 😊
