As an American, I did not realize how much of a religious ceremony the Coronation is, and that he is anointed with Holy Oil. It was beautiful to watch. God bless the King and Queen.

I'm happy the King chose to wear a traditional coronation suit instead of uniform. The King's position is not merely a military one, but a civil office under God.

He made a compromise. His great-grandfather George V. wore the same purple jacket in 1911, but with silk stockings, buckled shoes and knee breeches. So did George VI in 1936. King Charles chose uniform trousers with normal shoes.

The moment the anthem plays and everyone (bar Baby Harry I've noticed) sings it and starts bowing and curtsying... you can see the emotion in Charles' face. He lost his mother and father to be Crowned. And wishes they were here to see it.
Also the Queen's cousin standing beside Harry looks so emotion and yet proud of her cousin's son. Singing her little lngs out and standing despite her advanced age to show her respect for the King.
Oh, you can see Harry's mouth through that red piece on top of his aunt's hat? You must have X-ray vision. 🙄

I remember curtsying to Woody.EXE at that moment although I’m his Queen and I always sing the anthem anyway even though I might not be required to; I’m still respecting Wales’s monarch by doing so. I can’t wait for mine and Woody.EXE’s coronation in 7 weeks time

Don't they just. She was famously anti Royal and not happy to curtsy. But then, it has always been said that the late Queen's greatest admirers were her Labour Party prime ministers. What I found interesting was that Boris Johnson didn't bow. But then he was famous for deliberately mis-advising Her Majesty about dissolving parliament to avoid a difficult vote.

They have been friends with each other since they were aged 10 and 8 when CG stayed the whole summer at Balmoral
King Carl showing great courtesy and respect, which isn't a surprise. He was always a favourite with the late Queen. At lunches and dinners they attended together, unless protocol demanded otherwise, she always chose him to sit beside her.

Exactly the same thing happened with mine and Woody.EXE’s coronation recently; I loved how my sister, Princess of Wales blocked Jessie off completely as Mummy, Princess of Wales and my 2009 Woody we’re in the procession with the whole of Wales watched on. It was a great birthday celebration and I’ll never see anything like it again until my 2009 Woody and my sisters coronation which might not happen for sometime

This was one of the most moving moments of my life and I'm sure millions of other UK and Commonwealth citizens feel the same.
Even I was singing God save the king whilst watching it live. I also remember when Woody.EXE came downstairs because he heard me singing it and as his Queen, I curtsied to him at the exact moment this was going on. Then we both had our own coronation ceremony in Wales exactly 2 months after Charles and Camilla’s. It really moves me how Woody.EXE and Charles started both of their reigns exactly the same day but Charles hasn’t had the chance to meet him yet but Charles has met me though

Me neither, my 2009 Woody had that role for mine and Woody.EXE’s coronation 2 weeks ago now and I don’t know where he had that strength from to carry an extremely heavy sword for 3 hours and singing God save the King at the same time, he might be a toy but it’s incredible what he did. It was a great coronation and the 3 of us attended a birthday parade for me and my sister and Mummy to celebrate our 21st birthday

As a Christian, I also regret that the revolution was not only a rebellion against the authority of King George III but also a rejection of the lordship of Jesus Christ.
In hindsight, I believe that a peaceful resolution to the conflicts between the colonies and the Crown could have been achieved without resorting to war. I also believe that it was not necessary to reject the authority of the Crown and the principles of the Christian faith in order to achieve independence.
As we move forward, I pray that we can learn from the mistakes of the past and work towards a more peaceful and harmonious future. I believe that under your leadership, our two nations can build a strong relationship based on mutual respect and cooperation.

I was moved by the beautiful and dignified appearance of Her Excellency Penny Mordaunt leading King Charles while singing the national anthem.
Me too. First she blinked the tears from her eyes, then she sang along. After several hours of carrying a sword weighing almost four kilos. Simply impressive. A perfect first timer.
She looked amazing! Amazing women.
