Over 45 million “Rumors” albums sold to date! They were magic! Go ahead and do their song “The Chain” or “Gold Dust Woman” & that’s just the tip of the iceberg 🎶♥️😉
Rumours is one of the best selling albums of all time. The Chain. Gold Dust Woman are two more great songs from the album. Stevie Nicks is the lead singer on this song and she wrote this about the breakup with the lead guitarist Lindsey Buckingham.
This album was HUGE in the late 70's, turning the band into superstars. Stevie Nicks, Lindsey Buckingham, and Christine McVie all traded off songwriting/singing duties.
Stevie Nicks wrote and sang that about the dude singing and playing lead guitar beside her. Yes, she's dope. LOL She's a rock Goddess - one of the best songwriters of the 20th century.
The reason we ride with Fleetwood Mac is the intensity and real-ness of the emotions in the lyrics. And, they all have great voices, especially Stevie Nicks -- her voice is seductive and mysterious. AND, finally, the Rumors album is one of the best produced albums EVER.
Stevie Nicks is the only woman to inducted into the rock and roll Hall of Fame, twice ,and was named by rolling stone top 100 greatest song writer of all time. My request is Tusk, something that's not the normal fare, mainstream songs that usual get requested.😷🇨🇦
They have a verrrry deep library, but a "home run banger" is the live version of Rhiannon on Midnight Special in 1976. While the studio version is smooth and ethereal, this live version allows Stevie to show a lot of energy and passion. (especially towards the end.) You see the beginnings of how many call her the Queen of Rock. YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED.
Awesome album! I love this group!!! I'm 72 yrs and I listen to them in my car. I have every vinyl record they made plus CD!'S in my car. You need to listen to her sing her other songs! She writes so many songs. Love her!!! I'm 72 yrs and play her songs constantly. She's still performing!
Fleetwood Mac can be broken down into roughly three eras: the Peter Green era, ('68-'69), the Bob Welch era ('70-'74), and the Buckingham/Nicks era ('75-present). Started as a blues band, then had a weird jazzy period and then then pop rock.
This band is pretty unique, in that they have three people that sing lead, depending on who wrote the song. This album stayed on the charts for a very long time. John and Christine McVey were a married couple. John plays bass and Christine, keys. Stevie Nicks, who sings lead on this, was in a relationship with Lindsay Buckingham, and had been for quite some time. Both couples were in the process of breaking up during the recording and touring of this album. They continued on as a band for years. That had to have been hard.
First, there was Fleetwood Mac with Peter Green with songs such as OH WELL which is most definitely worthy of a listen along with soooo many others from the '60s. He was another who fell victim to psychedelics and could no longer play in the band. Then, they found Lindsey Buckingham who was already doing music with Stevie Nicks that also needs to be checked out. Fleetwood Mac wanted Buckingham, but he said not without Stevie. They already had Christy McVie who welcomed Stevie with open arms and here's what came next. Stevie Nicks has also done ALOT of solo stuff that needs to be reacted to. You could dive deep into Fleetwood Mac! I'm so glad you enjoyed this one! Have fun! Peace
Stevie & Joni Mitchell were both huge stars in the 70's, although their styles were different. Actually, you doing a reaction to Joni is what made me subscribe a few months ago, so I'm hoping you'll revisit her. "Help Me", or "Hejira" are a couple of her amazing pieces. As far as other Fleetwood Mac songs, try "Landslide", "Gold Dust Woman", or "Don't Stop Thinking About Tomorrow"...
💯 BizMatik, you just KEEP killing it‼🔥 Fleetwood Mac is a great rabbit hole; so, DIVE on into it‼Stevie Nicks ("Gypsy") & Lindsey Buckingham (a very underrated guitarist!) are both great vocalists; but, Christine McVie does some amazing vocals, too! "Songbird" showcases her unique voice & I think you'll appreciate it! Fleetwood Mac wrote some very cool, "deep" lyrics! I STILL have my original vinyl of Rumours & it's been one of my favorite albums for all these years‼ Nothing but killer cuts start to finish‼Choose one & enjoy the ride‼🤘
Love Fleetwood Mac! Love Stevie Nicks's voice! You should react to Rhiannon live 1976 on the Midnight Special...Stevie let's loose & her voice is phenomenol!
"Rhiannon", "the Chain", "Oh Well", "Albatross", "Tusk", "Go your own way", "Don't stop", They've been going since 1968, only drummer Mick Fleetwood and bassist John McVie are the only original members left. They one of the biggest selling artists of all time.
Stevie Knicks, lead singer, is known as the "White Witch" and her voice has had everyone under her spell for 50 years now!!!! "The Chain", "Gold Dust Woman" and "Rhiannon" (Live on Midnight Special) are a MUST for Fleetwood Mac.... Stevie REALLY goes "off" at the end of "Rhiannon" on Midnight Special!!! Also, she's the ONLY woman inducted into the Rock an Roll Hall Of Fame TWICE.... Once with Fleetwood Mac and once for her solo album "Bella Donna"..... Need to do "Edge Of Seventeen" from the solo album too, I'm SURE you've probably heard that one somewhere.... it's iconic!! Side Note: You said her voice is beautiful..... Just wait 'til you see HER!! Seriously, do "Rhiannon" Live on Midnight Special. You'll see why all the guys were in love with her. (I suspect many girls were too)..... ;)
Surprising the there are people that have never heard this song before. So famous. Glad you finally have! Stevie Nicks, Mick Fleetwood and Harry Styles are good friends. Stevie and Harry have sang together. You may have seen those videos. And Harry has performed with the band.
The entire Rumours album plus the original Silver Springs (not the release from The Dance years later - the original version that actually got left off the album due to space limitations) are a must. Stevie Nicks' vocals and songs are stunning but Christine McVie and Lindsey Buckingham also wrote songs and performed lead vocals and had great songs too. Beyond Rumours they had a lot of other great songs - it's a rabbit hole for sure.
One of the Greatest bands of all time. There history there story should be told on the big screen Stevie Nicks voice and singing is one of a kind. She is a legend. The only female singer to be inducted into the Rock and Roll hall of Fame with Fleetwood Mac and her Solo Career
The entire album is about breaking up. 4 of the members were in relationships prior to this album...as they started writing it both couples separated leading to one of the top selling albums of all time. Can you imagine the tensions during rehearsals. Stevie Nicks (The singer) and Lindsay Buckingham (The lead guitar player) joined the band together. They only wanted Lindsay but he insisted that if he joined Stevie came with him. In this album they are both credited with writing songs.....The songs were written twords each other like a musical argument. The entire album is brillant. Its soft 70's rock at its finest.
Brilliant album,1 of the best sellers.Mick Fleetwood drums Christie McVie vocals & keyboard John McVie bass Lindley Buckingham lead guitar Stevie Nicks lead vocals
Fleetwood Mac consist of 5 members. Mick Fleetwood drums, John McVie Bass, Lindsey Buckingham Lead guitar-Lead and backing vocals, Christine McVie Keyboards- Lead and backing vocals and Stevie Nicks Lead and backing vocals. Aside from pure talent Fleetwood Mac stand out as iconic because of their diversity in music. No two Fleetwood songs sound alike.
Tusk will blow your mind! You can feel the percussion in your bones! Rhiannon is pure magic, but try to find the video live version. Stevie Nicks is iconic, and Fleetwood Mac has never cut a bad song!
So their Rumors album is amazing, they were all going through personal stuff (pretty much divorce and breakups) during that album. All of the songs were about how they were feeling at that time. I think a lot of us can relate to them on some level. You should definitely check out the whole album.
Fleetwood Mac was a melody making machine. They knew how to write songs that were chart toppers (great melodies), sorta like the Beatles. Fleetwood Mac also had 3 very good songwriters, like the Beatles. Not saying they were equal to Beatles but there are comparisons. Fleetwood Mac was mainly a 70s band. Beatles were 60s.
This song was written to the guitar player Lindsey Buckingham, from Stevie Nicks the lead singer after a bitter break up. You should watch some of the stories about the band they are pretty wild.
Just subcribed, love your your reaction to my all time faves... Especially the awesome Ms Stevie Nicks! Please do Gold Dust Woman next. Lots of love from Belgium X
The Chain is another mega his of theirs. Other great songs with women are: You're No Good by Linda Ronstadt, You're So Vain by Carly Simon, I Fell The Earth Move by Carole King, Diamonds and Rust by Joan Baez, Ball and Chain by Janis Joplin, and Superstar by The Carpenters. Enjoy!
As far as I know, only the Drummer and Bass players don't sing "lead" in any of their songs. Drummer: Mick Fleetwood Bass: John McVie Guitar/Vocals: Lindsey Buckingham Tamborine/Vocals: Stevie Nicks Keyboard/Piano/Vocals: Christine McVie
Great choice and great reaction! From Fleetwood Mac, I would reccomend The Chain, Gypsy, Rhiannon, Gold Dust Woman, Little Lies, Hold Me, Say You Love Me, there's so many plus Stevie Nicks on her solo career.
Lol one song in and me thinks that you understand what's so special about the Mac, next ? play the next song on the album of course, when this album came out everyone I knew had a copy, this was huge...♡
It's a great recording, for sure, and Rumours is an album that's just full of good things, but the one before that, the Fleetwood Mac album which was the first with Buckingham and NIcks...I like it a lot. "There's a great live version of "Monday Morning" from that album -- one of the all-time best album-starter songs. Give it a try.
Stevie Nicks is a great, unique vocalist. But do be sure to cover Fleetwood Mac songs sung by Christine McVie. Reactors seem to exclusively pick songs sung by Nicks.
You are SO right!!! Christine doesn't get nearly enough love, she's fantastic. Stevie unfortunately just eclipsed her. I'd love to see him react to "Oh Daddy" or "Songbirds". 😊💜💚💛✌️
The Keyboardist, Christine McVie, and Stevie Nicks (this song) both wrote and sang kead on their own songs. Lindsey Buckingham, the guitarist, also wrote and sang lead. The three split xredit close to equally on their better albums. This is from their best album, by the way. The self-titled one before it is right there.
The Chain and Gold Dust Woman. The whole Rumors album
"Rhiannon" live on Midnight Special also..... All 3 are killer songs Too!!!!!!!!!
There was a time when this was the biggest selling album in history
Currently #11
Not bad for 40+ years.
"Landslide" is a great one for a view!...more Fleetwood Mac
this Rumours album is as big as any, every song is worthy of a reaction. The Chain should be next. first like and comment.

The Chain is their best song!!
Over 45 million “Rumors” albums sold to date! They were magic! Go ahead and do their song “The Chain” or “Gold Dust Woman” & that’s just the tip of the iceberg 🎶♥️😉
Stevie Nicks wrote this song in 10 minutes. Think about that, 10 minutes, a song that's lasted a lifetime, and still going.
Yo Bizmatic! Stevie Nick's has the voice of an angel. She is one of the greatest voices in rock. The chain... Rhianna...gold dust woman...
"Rhiannon"(on Midnight Special is epic) and "Gold Dust Woman" are a must!!!!
Fleetwood Mac and also Stevie Nicks by herself are great. You will enjoy listening to it all.
Stevie Nicks vocals on this , Gold dust woman 👍the chain 👍 🤘
Rumours is one of the best selling albums of all time. The Chain. Gold Dust Woman are two more great songs from the album. Stevie Nicks is the lead singer on this song and she wrote this about the breakup with the lead guitarist Lindsey Buckingham.

Fantastic rabbit hole, enjoy!!!👍✌
Rhiannon live! Then you can see how beautiful her voice really is! The Chain shows off the vocals of the entire band! 💖 This rabbit 🐇 hole is deep! 😁
This is one of the biggest albums of the 70s.
I own it still. It’s one of the biggest of all time.
They had so many huge hits- great band
I consider this album the best that has ever been made. Not a bad song on the whole thing
Definitely a "desert island" pick!
I add my vote for gold dust woman. Rumors beat out the Star wars soundtrack for best album Grammy and star wars was huge
Stevie Nicks wrote and sang that about the dude singing and playing lead guitar beside her. Yes, she's dope. LOL She's a rock Goddess - one of the best songwriters of the 20th century.
First concert I ever went to. I've seen them seven times. Every one of them are super talented.
The reason we ride with Fleetwood Mac is the intensity and real-ness of the emotions in the lyrics. And, they all have great voices, especially Stevie Nicks -- her voice is seductive and mysterious. AND, finally, the Rumors album is one of the best produced albums EVER.

Rhiannon live from the Midnight Special in 1976......best live Fleetwood Mac performance on UA-cam....maybe the best live performance period
This was 1977 I was 25 years old... Stevie Nicks voice is one of a kind..it's a very deep rabbit hole in which there is no return..
One of my top 10 songs ever. Seriously. Stays fresh after all these years. Plus one of the best selling albums of all time.
The Chain should be next.
They have a history in this band. Interesting read
'Edge of Seventeen' 😉
Stevie's voice 🔥🔥🔥
One of the best albums of this era! So good every song! The other female singer Cristie McVie was very underrated also!
