FLEETWOOD MAC, "RHIANNON" THE COOLEST LIVE PERFORMANCE ON THE MIDNIGHT NIGHT SPECIAL. WHAT AN ABSOLUTE GREAT 70'S SHOW.. MUSIC WAS THE MAIN ENTERTAINMENT...
From the period just after Lindsay Buckingham and Stevie Nicks joined the Fleetwood Mac, was a big hit of ‘76, but we don’t hear very often and it is one of the best Christine MacVie vocals too. The song is “Over My Head” - Fleetwood Mac. Keep on keeping it real with great music! 👍🏻
Never was particularly mad for Christie as a vocalist. Voice too deep-not, like, smoky deep, either-like a trombone. Killer on the keys, though-just irreplaceable on the keys.
@@78yestor93 For me it’s Stevie in position number one, but position two is being fought over by Exene Cervenka, Janis Joplin, Tina Turner or Joan Jett. I can’t bloody rank-order these ladies to save my life. I could possibly drop Joan Jett down a rank, as Exene already carries the punk attitude, but Joan is the only one of all of them who not ONLY plays guitar, but has a fucking SIGNATURE GUITAR model. Or, at least they used to. Don’t know if they’re still in production.
FINALLY and YAYYYY!!! 👏👏👏 Been waiting for this one!! YES, the studio version is phenomenal (and the one we all fell in love with).... BUT, this Live BLOWS IT OUT OF THE WATER!!! 😎 In my humble opinion!! lol!! 😁😂🤣 And Stevie KILLS it it here!!!😍❤ Gonna watch now!!
The album versions of the Mac’s songs are lovely, but hearing and seeing them live is a whole other experience. Another great example of that is Stevie singing “Sisters of the Moon” on the Mirage Tour in ‘82 (ua-cam.com/video/H1kF5HsUw84/v-deo.html).
🎸💯 I absolutely LOVE Fleetwood Mac‼They were definitely gettin off on this jam‼Great reaction BizMatik‼"Over My Head" is another awesome joint! (Also, you STILL need to check out Pat Benatar, another great female rocker!) 🔥
I can tell you this much, I was around 9 yrs old The Midnight Special among several others were, a big deal After skating me & my girls got in our sleeping bags with snacks and, we stayed up late watching all of these legends Yes, the crowd was mesmerized like we all were 70’s had a “Vibe” never to be seen again That is a “legendary performance” Helped aid in the next rock revolution ✌️🎶🌸
My favourite Fleetwood Mac tune of all time is a live video performance of ‘I’m So Afraid’ at the Rosebud Festival from 1976. They were all still young as fuck, Stevie is a treat for the men’s eyes, and Lindsey Buckingham is lookin his very best here, too (all my girlfriends swoon over him when I play em this vid-makes me happy to know women still think guitar players are sexy). His vocals and guitar are also off the chain. This is ALSO the only time I’ve ever gotten a contact high from bein around folks on powder cocaine, lol. This song vibrates with coke-energy; it’s part of why it’s so damn good-they’re all really FEELIN it. Strong recommendation.
My favorite classic rock band! Stevie Nicks is my gypsy queen! My idol since I was 13 and I am now 51. She just touches my soul like no other female artist. She did have a totally different sound and texture to her voice when she was on coke as opposed to being high on weed. She is much more grittier with her voice coked up. I am saying that as a loving fan. Just an observation of her performances from her drug days. They are great in concert. I saw them in the late 80's when Lindsey went solo. I saw her solo in 2016. Best concert of my life!
This performance is amazing and Fleetwood Mac was a come back band from England that had only limited success... Stevie Nicks was TOLD that this performance could decide how it would go in the long run...a very great weight to be placed upon a song and a struggling artist... she did what none of the other band members could do.... truly MADE IT
I have been asking you to do this since you did the studio track so, thank you!! And, second.... told you so!!😉😆 Fleetwood Mac is amazing and Stevie should be seen LIVE!! She's incredible and has had people under her spell for decades!!! I was only 5 when this song was released but when I heard her voice, I was hooked!! As far as the Ann/Stevie poll.... they're equally as great to me, just different. Ann is better on a "technical" level, but Stevie is FAR superior in the emotional/grit/Soul level.... the woman gives me the chills when she sings!! And I'm woman enough to admit it!!! 😍😂🤣😂 Anywhoo, so glad you liked it!!! And..... "GOLD DUST WOMAN" "LANDSLIDE" "GO YOUR OWN WAY" Next please....🤗 Anywhoo, GREAT reaction!! 😎❤❤
One of my favorite lyrics of all time..."Dreams unwind, Love's a state of mind" The Ultiimate Rock Goddess. This is my favorite version as well. I love the additional lyrics. Biz her publishing company is Welch Witch Music... She sings a lot of herself. A fanatastic on and probably my favorite is Sisters of the Moon. You must hear it. A similar theme.
For a huge but awesome change how about "the green manalishi with the three prong crown" from the original Fleetwood Mac aka Peter Green's Fleetwood Mac.
You should do "Silver Springs" where she is singing directly to Lyndsey Buckingham for betraying her with another woman or something along those lines. It's epic. I forgot it's an ( official video )
Hey, if you want to do a crazy performance by Lyndsey, check out big love live... and if you have time, big love/ go insane live... Awesome performances.. Great reaction. Thanks again. 😊
Biz. Dude. You know that I have asked. Pleaded. Cajoled. Begged of you. Please do some Peter Green era Fleetwood Mac. You WILL NOT be disappointed. That lineup at one point had a triple guitar attack. It's a very different vibe than the Buckingham/Nicks era, but everyone that I have ever turned on to the Peter Green stuff has been completely blown away by it. Check out The Green Manalishi
Fleetwood Mac was looking for a lead guitarist during a transition period for the group. They hired Lindsay Buckingham who agreed to join only if his then girlfriend, Stevie Nicks could also be part of the band. Lindsay and Stevie were not only in a relationship, they were making music together and had released at least one album.
THIS SONG IS ABOUT THE OTHER WOMEN SINGER IN THIS BAND !!! Stevie had a long time relationship with the the lead guitarist .then he started messy around --------------- Stevie wrote this song for them and said ---------------You want to be in my band ?? THEN TAKE THIS SHIT !!!!!!!!!!!! Yhis was the first time she performed it live !!! TRUE STORY PEOPLE .
Please play some of Stevie Nicks solo career videos or live she is awesome and you need to watch the live video of Stop dragging my heart around with Tom Petty its frickin great but anything she does is wonderful please show the
Is there any chance you could give the group Blondie another go I know you wasn't keen on their record Rapture but this wasn't typical of their output and they are very highly regarded in the indie rock scene. Tracks worth checking out include Sunday gir,l Hanging on the telephone, Heart of Glass and Atomic.

The music of my youth. There will never be another Stevie.
Only once in a million years does a lady like her rise.
I Have 2 top Female artist’s, Stevie the poetess, songstress, performer and the one Rock Goddess. The Female voice Annie Haslam period
She’s not dead yet!

Love this performance.. Stevie going crazy at the end... Lindsey jamming out of control... awesome. Thank you. 😊
At the height of her beauty and vocal abilities. An icon.

She was so fine
That was Linsey on guitar.
Check out The Chain, Gold Dust Woman then Tusk from The Dance concert they did. Stevie is still going strong and has several solo albums.
Yes - Silver Springs from The Dance concert is also essential viewing.

Great song and reaction. And can I say your sound was so good. Clear and good volume. So many channels it's echoes or low crackly sound. Thanks
I'd love to see you react to Lindsey Buckingham's solo live version of the Fleetwood Mac song "Big Love"
The relationships between the band members were so incredibly complicated, and painful, but inspired some timeless music.

Pat Benatar needs to be on your list! Invincible, Hit Me With Your Best Shot, Hell Is For Children, etc. Powerhouse vocal talent!

An even better live version of this is on the Fleetwood Mac live double album from 1980.

A lot of us were clamoring for the "Live" 1976 performance. Thanks for following up.
My only gripe is that Lindsey’s solo wasn’t longer
It’s from Midnight Special, it’s also faster than normal, to fit the time constraints, of the show.
"Chain"!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hi there!! Just popping to tell you that Biz has done "THE CHAIN". Here's the link: ua-cam.com/video/0LwYwVvWuS4/v-deo.html Enjoy!! :)

Anyone not voting Stevie into first place hasn't listened to her properly.
Those glassy eyes means she is stoned as fark during this performance.
Actually, this is pre-coke!!
I’m so afraid Fleetwood Mac next
Stevie’s great. But have you listened to Linda Ronstadt? Queen of Rock & a master of every other genre, including opera
SANDY DENNY!!!!!!

My crush.
Bro, if you want to talk about all-time female vocalists you cant leave out Emmylou Harris (and the hot band) or Linda Ronstadt.
To quote Willie Nelson: "There are two kinds of men. Those who are in love with Emmylou Harris, and those who haven't met her."
