Lost my dad last night... He was 68 years old. Luckily, I'll never have to tell anyone he was 69. Thanks to everyone involved in creating this podcast. It was oddly timely and cathartic.
I'm really sorry, and I have been where you are. That is too young to lose your dad, but I hope I can help you through by sharing my experiences so you know what to expect. I promise not to make this about me, but rather help you in this unprecedented time of sorrow. You may have initial feelings that it was your fault and that you could've saved him. IGNORE ALL THAT; I don't know the circumstances, but his time was his time and you did the best you could. Just man up for your family, as they'll need a lot of support now. Keep in mind that this sorrow doesn't just heal eventually, but also empowers you over time. You're going to be going through a lot of anger, so just let out whatever is going through your head. Watch your fists; don't go punching something hard and making the pain worse. Just scream, talk, anything cathartic. Hugely helpful tip, get a big Lego set or something. Anything to kill the time and be productive. Start a hobby, whatever. It makes the beginning period a lot easier. After you just go through the cycle of all this, you'll become empowered by such a loss. It will put the task on you of being as great as he was (or wasn't), and it builds strength. Stay tough, and keep your close ones close; this is when they are there for you.
Nick is one of the most naturally funny people I’ve ever seen. The dude can lighten up the mood effortlessly. He’s hilarious. He’s not given enough credit. On a side note, the amount of times this dude pushes his glasses up drives me bonkers. lol.
So the countries who held their citizens hostage for the shortest amount of time have the lowest virus rates and ill health. The Germ Theory was never actually proven to be 100% accurate, yet the trillion dollar medical industry is entirely based on that theory. What's the CAUSE of death in people with this "virus"? Does their brain explode? Does their heart stop beating? The CAUSE of death is still pneumonia. Pneumonia is not something you can "catch". It's a biological result of being "scared to death" of something. Think of it like an internal wound that you can't see, but when it starts to heal (when the traumatic event dissipates), the healing of the wounds in the lungs will cause pain, mucus, blood, fever, headaches, coughing, etc. You don't show the symptoms of "disease" until you stop being panicked and afraid. These symptoms usually show up 1-2 weeks after you've relaxed and resolved the upsetting event. So governments around the world are CAUSING fear frights in everyone based on an unproven THEORY by one man, Louis Pasteur, who redacted his claim of the germ theory on his death bed, yet no one listened. So of course, when everyone is allowed to escape the hostage situation the governments have put their people into, and they start relaxing about the "scary virus" that's not in any way transmissible, they will begin their healing phase (get sick), and believe they then have the "scary virus", and more panic will ensue as well as martial law. The longer people allow this government to hold them hostage in their homes, the more severe the "sickness" will be. Western Medicine is pure fraud, and people's lives are destroyed because of it. People do not get sick from germs and diseases are not "catchable." Disease starts in the brain with a traumatic, unexpected and stressful event. The best example and most commonly referred to mass illness event was the Great Flu of 1918. It set the stage for the current dogma that the "flu" has a season....fall. The flu of 1918 began in the fall, but what else was of great significance that also occurred during the same time in 1918?? The German Chancellor officially announced the end of World War I. Two weeks following that announcement, millions and millions of people who were directly affected by the very first World War went into the healing phase. The healing phase of a Territorial Fear is Bronchitis and flu-like symptoms. The healing phase of being scared to death for yourself or someone you love is pneumonia and tuberculosis, and lung tumors. None of these symptoms will appear when someone is in the conflict stage. All of them appear when you go thru the healing phase and the conflict is resolved. So millions of people began with these very serious illnesses given the length of time the war lasted, and this was all before the invention of antibiotics in 1929 which would have helped most people. This was also a time of food rationing, so the proper amount of protein needed when a tumor begins to degrade wasn't available. More people died in Europe than the US because the war was fought over there. And from that very event, we are told all around the world to get our vaccinations to prevent something that is directly caused by the things happening only in our own lives such as the disappointment of the end of summer, the trauma of a child starting school for the first time who doesn't want to go, the stress of having a new school routine after leisure time all summer.....can you see the pattern here? If you cannot "catch" cancer, arthritis or diabetes from another person, then you cannot "catch" a cold or flu. There is no such thing that only SOME diseases are communicable, but not all. Everything is based on the Germ Theory that was never proven to be 100% accurate from the very beginning.
"Is that true or are you just stealing this from me" Swardson I clapped my hands and laughed so hard, especially seeing Sickler's reaction. Thanks guys
OMG. I've never heard anyone else talk about Ralph Waldo Emerson before. My favorite quote ever is one of his. "Treat a man as he is, and he will remain as he is. Treat a man as he can be, and he will become what he should be." That quote was the basis of a best man speech I gave at my best friend's wedding.
I had a friend who played Chuckee at Chuckee Cheese. He hated the job, all day long he got beat down by bratty kids. One night after work he was driving his 2 coworkers home and suffered a brain aneurysm. He died, the others survived, RIP.

I laughed because I knew that a hole wanted to mess with me😂.

This is actually my first episode of Honey Dew I'm watching. I've been a Swardson fan since before Grandma's Boy and keep my jeans as high and tight as i can. I wasn't expecting this ep to hit as hard as it did. A few years ago my mom developed Pre Progressive Aphasia and she is slowly deteriorating. She can't write, type, or do basic maintenance on her own anymore, and it is so difficult for her to even form a complete sentence and speak clearly. She's only 54 years old and it came out of nowhere about 6 years ago and there is no cure or even treatment. There is nothing to do but take a knee and run down the clock. Seeing someone deteriorate so completely after they worked so hard their entire lives is absolutely devastating.
I know I’m not saying anything new here, but Sickler always brings out the best intimate stories with guests, I love how he cuts through bits that comedians would normally do on other pods

Healthcare professionals say more than 14 drinks a week is dangerous and I used to do double that in one night, every night. Nick probably did triple, that's INSANE he still drinks after that. I've been off everything over a year and overall I've never been more at peace. If you're reading this and going through a similar thing, it's worth the work. Your mind and body will return to normal and you'll start enjoying the little things again, I promise.
Oh, no, his body WON'T return to normal. necrosis in pancreas... permament brain damage. fucked up liver. But not staying sober would really expedite things for him, sadly

We DESERVE to know how Nick almost got hit by a car, dammit! But what a great episode. Coming from a guy who lost both parents at such an early age, hearing Nick talk about how hard it is just to say, "Oh my dad is dead" hits so close to home and I always thought it was just me being a baby and not getting over it. It's nice to know other people feel that too.
I'm a bastard, was raised by grandfather as my father figure. He taught me almost everything I know. He died years ago. Still cry about him being gone regularly. Including now. Jarring is the right word.
Nick Swardson is a treasure. Saw him on one of the "Sandler & Friends" tours a few years ago and he was the funniest by far. (Norm was not on this leg of the tour, or else it would have been close... haha)
Its weird hearing a person describe being an alcoholic while also proclaiming they are not an alcoholic. And not being able to depolarize this dissonance in their head, like Burt Krunchler.
Right? Literally gets alcohol poisoning and almost dies multiple times but doesn't think that's problematic. I get it. Most people think if you don't drink everyday and hold down a job that they're not an alcoholic.
Lost my dad last night... He was 68 years old. Luckily, I'll never have to tell anyone he was 69.

Never click on a guest so fast than when it’s swardy good shit Sickler!!
This podcast is incredible Ryan, thank you man. Even bigger thanks to Nick, you’re a damn King.
Have a wonderful Tuesday yall, stay safe this morning if you’re lighting one up or drinking a little glass already.
"Do you want your grandmother dying like some little bird in a hospital room? Her translucent skin so thin you can see her last heartbeat.... Or do you want your Grandma to meet Chuck Norris?!". Bill Hicks
I hope Nick does start a podcast! He is one of my favorite podcast guests so I can only imagine how fun his own podcast would be🙂
Nick Swardson seems so down to earth and actually nice I hope he keeps that
Nick is one of the quickest wittiest comedians. He doesnt rely on hack stuff. Talented writer in his movies

Nick needs his own podcast
We DESERVE to know how Nick almost got hit by a car, dammit! But what a great episode. Coming from a guy who lost both parents at such an early age, hearing Nick talk about how hard it is just to say, "Oh my dad is dead" hits so close to home and I always thought it was just me being a baby and not getting over it. It's nice to know other people feel that too.
15min. in and there are some bizarre similarities between your guys' stories! Love seeing you two connect like this.
Im soo glad you put all these here on UA-cam.
Respect..🙏
I'm a bastard, was raised by grandfather as my father figure. He taught me almost everything I know. He died years ago. Still cry about him being gone regularly. Including now. Jarring is the right word.
Nick Swardson is a treasure. Saw him on one of the "Sandler & Friends" tours a few years ago and he was the funniest by far. (Norm was not on this leg of the tour, or else it would have been close... haha)
Went by so fast, please have him back again soon
I remember being a kid watching Nick Swardson’s half hour comedy central special. Funny then, and funny now! ❤️ 😂
Nick is the funniest
Its weird hearing a person describe being an alcoholic while also proclaiming they are not an alcoholic. And not being able to depolarize this dissonance in their head, like Burt Krunchler.
He just said he hasn’t drank in months.
Right? Literally gets alcohol poisoning and almost dies multiple times but doesn't think that's problematic.
I get it. Most people think if you don't drink everyday and hold down a job that they're not an alcoholic.
@@robertmudd3392 Yeah, but he was drinking everyday.
My Dad died two weeks ago on the 16th. Damn, it hurts. Thank you for sharing your experiences.
Sitting at home shitting blood from a hard taco accident.... avoiding the hospital.... this podcast should help.
What?!
The blood shits have stopped... just saying. It might have helped. Also. Chew your tacos
@@Mchilde1313 had the same problem from an Apple chip binge.
I was going to wait and save this one for work tomorrow. Couldn't resist
Finally decided to check out your podcast!! I seen you in new west bc at richard bronsons!
Awesome show bro!
Nick is like the dad from Shameless.. almost died from drinking and is like - pshhh I don’t have a problem
I'm convinced there is not a human on earth who doesnt love Nick
"he did one last headspin, then he was taken" 😂
Ryan your great man. I rewatch some. And I love that you have casted some of my favorite comedians and stand ups
It’s so funny every time someone else talks Nick has this frustrated look.
When you’re trying to listen to the Dew at work and your annoying co worker keeps asking you questions 3:06
If I see someone with headphones or ear bids on I do not bother them. But some people don't get the hint lol
Wooot wooot Night Pant Nation Y’all!!! Whoa!!! One giner canal!!! Good for her 😊
Love Nick,always will.
