Reconnected with old friends. Made new ones. Started working out again. Took up kick-boxing. Travelled. Visited my family. Saw my career skyrocket. Embraced the freedom that comes with not having to make a miserable person happy. I cringe at who I was before. If your misery is tied to someone who blames you for their life’s problems; all I can say is that it’s not your fault and life is better on the other side.
This is 100% effective. It’s so crazy but I was so broken at first and then I put on my big girl panties & accepted this break full on, keeping myself busy with friends, work, etc.. The guy is trying to show me so much attention and treating me like it was the way in the beginning of the relationship. We have been together for a year and 3 months. And I’m certainly still backing off and still being very bold in standing my ground. Giving him hell ;) haha the last statement on this video was awesome. Thanks!
When my dude asked for a break I told him are you sure? He said yeah for a couple of days. So I went on a date n hooked up. Im not sure what he did. But when he found out what I did he was not happy. But o well. I ended up breaking up with him any way he was not consistent. On the break I realised I was happier without him.

Your steps actually worked. I asked him if he wanted a break or a break up. He said break (thank god 😂) but to make sure he meant it I asked how long. He didn’t know. But then he said he felt like he wasn’t doing enough in our relationship sense we can’t talk all the time. So after he said that I re assured him that we’re ok and if has a problem I told him to talk to me about it and I’ll always be here for him if he needs to vent about something. Aura Villanueva I definitely see his point of view, two weeks ago my person told me he needed some time. It’s very easy to become very caught up in a relationship between the two people. Often times people lose themselves and start to become a different person due to (work stress, school stress etc). In my case he was feeling overwhelmed by work and needs some time to think about our relationship and what he’s going to do about his work situation. The break was definitely more of his decision but I respected his wishes. Often times people don’t realize what they had until it’s gone. I hope it worked out for the better with you guys!

samantha allen same here. It’s okay for someone to need a break. If he really loved you like he says he does, he’ll stay committed to you in a way while on this break away from the relationship. The time frame is great n all, but it doesn’t always work. Each situation is different and each couple is different. Do what you feel is right for yourself and him. In the end, you know him better than anyone else.
I got caught up in a similar situation. Met this adorable guy and had been talking to him for 3 months before I learned he was on a break from his gf ( her decision) I asked him what was going on with his xgf and he told me he was going to "sort things out" only to not hear from him for two weeks and then I found out they got engaged...wtf?????

I’m in a long distance relationship and his texts were getting shorter and shorter and took longer to reply. I was really suspicious and thought that he could maybe be cheating. But he told me he only loved me. Anyways, today he told me we should take a break because we are busy with school. I’ve never had anyone told me they wanted a break. I just don’t want to lose him. Victoria Alexander he could be very indecisive about you and his situation. Maybe a form of allowing him to “move on” in terms of self growth was him blocking you. I don’t agree with his actions, but everyone handles these things differently, and if blocking you helped him figure out his life, then that’s his choice. Don’t feel at fault, keep doing you, and one day he might just crawl back begging on his knees for you. If and when that day comes, it’s your choice whether to take him back or not

The worst part is he requested this break by text and l have been trying to get him to meet up but no l guess he just isn't man enough to face me because it's already 2 weeks. His reason was kinda hard for me to grasp. He said it was cuz of the distance then smthg abt that he's lost or confused and need some time.
