I'm waiting until I can afford it. Tesla will definitely be my next vehicle. I'm not sure which model I will be getting.
Check carvana, used 2020ish modesl are around $20k-$30k.
I think people may not have anticipated the time it takes to charge and lack the ability to charge at home/apartment/work, and went back to hybrids.
im in the same boat. my next car is def going to be a Tesla Model Y Performance, now whether I want to wait til the Juniper comes out or get a used one at a good price then trade that in for the new model Y once it comes out. But my next car is going to be an EV. My thing is charging. I am trying to buy a house and if that doesnt work look for a complex that has EV charging.
Don’t wait to buy a new one, get a good used one, you’ll save a ton and have the same great car. You won’t regret it!
Just picked up a fantastic used 2021 Dual MY with FDD and Performance boost, Blue and white interior with 20 inch Balck rims! So happy with my purchase and yet could be in line for an upgrade for a refresh… NOT!
@@MarvinWorldWid Congrats!! I picked up a 22 dual motor for less than half its original (pre-price drop) MSRP. Thinking about adding the extended warranty for $2k. Well worth it with the savings. Almost silly to buy new tbh
Holding off for the new Y for better suspension and quieter cabin.
I just picked my 2024 model Y up, and I'm thoroughly impressed. It took a bit of getting used to the regressive braking, but it's a pretty incredible experience driving once you get going.
Waiting for the Juniper. Better suspension, battery with over 400 mile range. Blind spot warning hopefully. Maybe HUD?
The mattress looks very cool. Can’t wait to get one.

I was so very close to upgrading my 2022 model 3 to the model Y but seeing this I will spend my day having a closer look at the model 3 performance.
I'm in Europe and I can't see the refresh model next year going below 45.000 euros. We currently get 5k green rebate only until the end of this year and Tesla are clearing stock at 40K. So 35K all in for the base model. or 45K next yer for a refined model..........
It would be great to see .99% in Canada. I would buy a current MYLR if they did.
I drive model y in UAE and one problem I face is that the sun roof is absorbing too much heat due to constant sun light. Even after installing the shade, the dark glass sun roof attracts an trap the heat; however, if there is some kind of technological improvement like reflective impregnated metal into the glass to reduce the incoming sun rays, it would make the car ceiling more comfortable. I tried to put this comment in Tesla’s website but I don’t know if it went through. I’d appreciate if you pass this information along.

I have a 22 M3SR and love my car. I was thinking about a MY, but I got screwed after buying my car, and the price dropped, AND they approved the tax credit 😤. Needles to say, I owe more on my car than it's worth, so I'll wait. I'll make her look new after her bday in September, so I'm good. I can wait 😊

What are the pro's and con's of rear-wheel vs all-wheel drives? I'm still doing my research on the Model Y. Thanks.
The two biggest advantage to get the dual motor all wheel is the much faster speed for passing and much better sound system. Another benefit may be better traction in bad weather. The advantage of the rear wheel is battery can be charged to 100% daily. Range is more for all wheel but that really isn't a factor if you watch a lot of videos that explain why.

I ordered at the tail end of the .99 financing offer and currently still waiting for a VIN assignment/firm delivery date. A little frustrated and mostly nervous about ensuring I will still get the .99 interest rate... but I would LOVE if that ended up with getting a slightly refreshed version that swapped out the wood panels and added the interior light strip. Either way, can't wait to get my first Tesla!!
If price is a concern, buy a 1-2 year old one. They age incredibly well but the price drop is significant.

I recently leased a Hyundai Ioniq 5 on very favorable terms for two years. And the 2024 Model 3 Performance will arrive in two days. When the Ioniq's lease ends in two years, it might be a good idea to consider buying a new Model Y then.

I have a 2018 M3. I waited 18 months and in those 18 months the 3 just kept getting better so with Tesla the wait can be good. I am still going to wait for the Juniper. Im hoping for a Longer Range / and or faster charging. The new battery makers like CATL & now Gotion anything is possible plus better suspension and less road noise is worth the wait.
I am holding out for the Juniper upgrade!

For cash buyer don’t buy now, wait for new one if they go down to 0.9 Apr it’s make sense to buy it for financing owner, it’s a big difference to pay it in 72 months, 0.9 Apr will save from 9k-10k depending on credit,
I've been looking at used (cash), but the more and more I look and say oh would be nicer to have something with a warranty and less miles I keep going back to new but it doesn't make sense with rates. If they did the .99% interest rate I'd probably do it now. Could play this wait until 2025 game, or wait until refresh, etc etc and all of be doing it putting money into repairing and old ICE vehicle and not getting a Tesla. So hoping to see .99 again soon I just missed the last round or a damn good deal on a used one lol.
even after the tax credit its still around $45k (MYLR) and you will make barely 200miles with %80charge and interior feels like its from dollar store .. any hybrid vehicle can beat tesla almost every level and plus almost half the price such as Prius
just remember EV prices are in free fall...perhaps leasing may more sense if you have business write offs...unless you are sanguine with steep ev price depreciation.

Model Y is out of fads. At least in Europe:

(That's what 49% drop in sales YoY does.)

I bought a Subaru Crosstrek in Oct. it is a 2024 model. I really like it, but will be buying a Tesla 3 or Y by the end of the year.
This way me and my wife have an ICE car, and an electric car. Best of both worlds.

Man Tesla has not impressed me at all price impresses me and all of the models are very expensive. It sucks because everyone should have a chance to have one I belive in EV but 40k man pffft even with thebl tax credit it is still too much. Hell I can get a base .model vett for what the y costs

Tesla needs to do something about the seats in Model Y. The whole amazing car is not worth buying just because how uncomfortable those seats are
I usually hear the opposite about the seats.
I think personally it has the most comfortable seat of all EV’s
don't trust Musk, you may see the new version only in 2026, and the new Y will be just a little better. like the new M3...... I own a 2019 M3 and I tried the new one... it's a little more confortable but the power and feeling is the same for me.
Delusional. The new Model 3 is absurdly better than the old model. A total no-brainer. More efficient, more features (ventilated seats and screen for rear passengers), and the new AMD CPU makes the infotainment system lightning fast. Much faster than your slow Intel CPU. 🤡
The current Model Y has outdated looks and can't match vehicles like the Xpeng G6 (has also better specs). Waiting for a real refresh.

Could not wait to get a Tesla, But now I found a Tesla is mot like a car of old.
Tesla controls when you can sell the car so you dont really own it.
Every thing you do say or go to is tracked and reported back to Tesla, you have ZERO privacy.
You cannot repair a Tesla, hardly any mechanic will touch a damaged one.
More and more places wont allow EV cars for fear of fire.
Insurance is expensive for ICE cars, but astronomic for EVs.
Maintenance costs are crazy for EVs, for just a battery and electric motor.
I could go on.
Now you could not pay me to have a Tesla. Especially my privacy is too high a price to give up..
You really don’t know what you’re talking about. I had a P85D for 8 years, total repair costs $1,000. I traded it in for a MY Performance.
Yeah, I agree, especially on the insurance part. My insurance only went up 25 dollars.
@@clu4u To maintain an ICE car Toyota at a dealer costs me over $1.000.00. I asked what does it cost to do 6 mthly maintenance on an EV, it is much the same, and if you do not do the 6mthly maintenance you void your warranty.
I got this information just before I was about to buy a Tesla.
@@NewyorkRican2191 The only insurance offered was a lifetime vehicle replacement policy at 3 times the comprehensive insurace cost. Try to find a repairer who will take on a damaged EV for repair.
Just sold mine trust me their not worth it.
