Aside from every person on the internet and all my friends playing it nonstop, ive actually haven't watched any reviews on the game til now. Apperciate you confirming that this was a good purchase, just watching the gunplay alone has sold me on it lol. I like the humor you used in this one man, makes videos more fun to know the video maker was having fun making it. Good stuff as usual! Can't wait to see the highly anticipated, upcoming Yoshi Inflation video!

My ship names thus far have been Superintendent of The State, Lord of Audacity, and my current favorite, Prophet of Mercy. My friend got the incredible SES Fist of Family Values, which imo is the funniest
I completely agree with what you’re saying about progression, maybe a prestige mode could do a lot of work. Letting you unlock more cosmetics for weapons for prestiging them, or maybe unlocking weapon skins for completing achievements on guns kind of like cod does. Great video!
Bro I've felt the exact same thing with what you were saying about battle royales, where I'm sick of games that are frustrating and anger inducing (PUBG and CS2 are the ones that come to mind for me) and I just want coop with friends (or strangers). I'm honestly sold on this game bc of that. Or, at least, I will be sold once I hear people say the servers are okay Also agree per RE5. Game is dumb, but I love it. Honestly, I prefer the renewed horror focus of RE games as of late, but I'd be down for a new coop game that isn't tacked on PvP garbage Great stuff, super entertaining and compelling as always, snake man 🐍

Why is there so little talk about the in-game shop in this game? I mean, yeah, the game is good, but I really don't like the live-service nature of new games. Given that there is an online shop, one can assume that few years down the line when the servers close, the game is basically bricked because there is no way to play it offline. Or maybe I'm mistaken.
I thought about touching on that, but I decided against it because it’s a complicated subject. I don’t mind it here because this game is much more “fair” with its monetization than other games (The primary “battle pass” is included with the game, and the premium pass can be earned just from playing). That being said, you are right, it’s still a game with a price for entry on top of having MTX, which in general is a pretty annoying practice. I’m of the opinion that since it’s going to have content updates, I’m fine with having optional in-game purchases to fund said updates instead of having to pay upfront for DLC. As for being able to play the game offline, that is a fair concern, but given the game uses P2P connections for online play, I can’t imagine the server upkeep being too crazy (the first game’s servers are still up 9 years later despite it having less than 1k active players). And honestly, as a solo game I don’t think I could recommend it given the game’s emphasis on teamwork (although sometimes it is fun to play a solo “stealth” mission). Your concerns are totally valid though, and I don’t blame you for bringing them up.
This is easily the best Helldivers 2 review I've watched. I appreciate the fact that you didnt shy away from the issues at hand while still giving the game a lot of praise. A fantastic start to branching out! 🙂
helldivers 2 is a tower defense game, but you are the tower , run recoilless rocket launcher, 1 mortar sentry and 2 of any other sentries. even better if 2 party members run it. Awesome video sl1ppy!
I had seen a few clips from this game and this review gave a really good overview. I may have to pick this up with a few friends and give it a go. Great video as always!
@@sl1ppey thanks 😄 hope you can give it some exposure. It has kind of a slow build up like Voidigo and it’s unintuitive at first but at high level it’s really fun and crazy fast. There’s an update coming that adds level and item creator and over 100 new items and 30 new bosses but it’s already a dense game
@@sl1ppey you’re not gonna believe this, but I just found a secret hot key on the main menu in the game today that unlocked the editor mode. It’s already in the game unlocked with a hotkey and the dev didn’t even tell us lolllll. I’m tinkering around with it now and waiting for the dev to respond to me finding it 🤣

Haven’t had server issues since the time of writing. Definitely a non-issue now that the peak of the game’s hype has washed over.
