- Trouble shooting a bad front bearing and taken a looking inside a nitro engine that didn't use after run oil. The engine has been sitting for a year with out after run oil.
The purpose of these seal is more for dust/dirt dont go inside, it can cause air leak but some plane engine dont even have a seal so it normal the seal leak. great video over all ✌️🤘
Great video. Nice job explaining the subject, maintaining a meaningful focus and lighting when needed.
My man once again dropping knowledge. I hope we get to see you fix the engine. That would be a interesting video. Later bro peace ✌️.
Hector Diaz thanks brotha, this motor might be too far gone to really want to fix it, might be easier to get a new engine? We shall see😎
i never knew about this. Can learn alot from your vids thanks.
Thanks
Great video thanks helped loads my G
Glad i found this but downside of my specific brand hobao is I can not find replacement front bearing as my one leaks like hell I allways use after run
Ebay maybe?
I’ve been flying and running nitro for 25 years and I’ve never used after-run oil.
Great trick i really appreciate it. I'm not knew to RC but i am new to nitro engines. I may have seen some of ur other vids.
What a great job my friend~!! Awsome~!!😁👊👍
Good tip bro! Hommie needs them bearings bad. Those internals look really bad
Drew's Nitro Shop yes they do, thank brotha 🤝
Big bro you are a beast at this I love what you do thats real so much inspiration keep rockin big bro I watch you ads fully to ✊🏾💪🏾🏎💯
Thanks brotha
@@rajaa111 your welcome big bro 🤜🏾🤛🏾💯
alot of the "rust" you're talking about is gummed up castor oil... the odd spot is rust but most of that is gummed up oil...
Nice demo bro 😎
OS and NovaRossi make the best nitro Engines. I like my TRX 3.3 in my Tmaxx 3.3 but had to buy Avid Racing Ceramic bearings an OS 11K carb to make it better.
@rajaa111 your the man !!!
You help me diagnose this same problem when I didn’t know what the hell I was doing !!!
justjoe887 cool, I hope it works out for you, keep me posted brotha 👍🏾
Nasty engine inside bro...I got novarossi engines too and use atf oil or 3in1 as after run oil....thumbs up👍👍great channel.....
Thanks brotha
@@rajaa111 what you think about the bo bao mac.28 6 ports? Its a good engine for bashing....i want to put a newone in my savage
Nacho Mec Nieto brotha I never heard of that engine, will it fit?
@@rajaa111 yes it fits,, but I realy don't know how good and reliable are...I think I go for a legend .28🤣....the best choice
Any of the part of the engine that aren’t steel shouldn’t have rust. Rust on the crank makes sense because it’s steel and it doesn’t have any sort of chrome plating or dlc coating. All the stuff on the piston, backplate, head button, sleeve, and block is mostly just a bunch of nitro residue.
Excellent video... reminded me I need to lubricate my motor... I’m gonna tear down one of my motors here soon. I’m gonna buy new bearings, piston and sleeve... I made a video but I Phone won’t let me upload it to you tube... sucks!!!!
Kevin Caldwell damm I wonder why? UA-cam has a mind of there own,
rajaa111 I looked online and I guess it’s just apple.... there are a bunch of us who can’t... I don’t know if it’s us using the iPhones 7,8 or what but there is a issue... I tried on my IPad and neither will work... I wish I could of shared a little of my story but I have to wait until it’s fixed.... I just have to sit back watch and reply for now...
Good video Rajaa👍sweet tips😤😤
Don Foss my man, thanks brotha 🤝
great video very informative 👍🏻
Foundry RC thanks Gary 👍🏾
Excellent video, I just subscribed to your channel, thankyou 😁
Aaron Bligh thank you, I really appreciate the support
Great video. Did a leak test on my front bearing. Got some bubbles but not nearly as much as you got in the video. Should I replace the bearing anyways? Should there be absolutely no bubbles?
Thanks in advance !
@@Nitroglowr So youre saying the test Rajaa demonstrates at the beginning of the video is useless?
Sorry I'm late to the party, again.
That crank-pin is fine..
It's made of hardened steel. The con-rod is made of aluminum with a brass looking insert , pressed in ..
The con-rod hole is elongated....
Steel will win, EVERYTIME.....
Also: you can gasket-seal the front bearing on the outside ... From the front of the motor.....
Use the "red" permatex brand.
Thats called chasing a tune however if pple take care of there equipment this wont happen i stay on top of my motors rebuild completely after 5 to 7 gallons its to late to fix it while at a race so fix it b4 its costly are more blow up the motor no good
My engine’s crankshaft is rusted.is it possible to run or clean it?
Shayan Kamalian yeah it will clean right up, just take some nitro fuel or wd40 with some scotch bright, it should come right out. DON’T use sandpaper you will destroy you crank
@rajaa111 do you know the size of the rear bearing for the virtus?
Raja how do you re-pinch a motor?
Great video brother!
Keith Kamps it’s not that easy to explain, the best thing to do is send it to someone who does it, pinching a motor is cheap maybe 15 to 20 bucks
@rajaa111 Is the bearing supposed to leak even a little during the test? What if it’s only around the inner diameter?
You will get some leakage, small amounts is ok
To some its worth it but when they do it themselves its cheaper to get knew an clean up an have some parts are at worse give it to someone
Robert Tannenbaum that’s true
Yo can you still find novarossi engine parts for the mito 9 port on road engine?
Raced today first ever nitro car, was running good one of the pro drivers helped with tune so idle was good, strong through the rev range first 4 heats car was failed then on last heat and final u cut out not on jump on flat.
Been told check, fuel line, tank, clutch etc just try to work out the issue, why it's dieing on my me?
Hard to really understand, but I would check your tune, if the low speed needle is to lean that will happen once the tank gets low. It could be a world of things really hard to tell you what’s wrong when I’m not in front of the car
You cant blame bearing. If motor is running then balls rotating and making seal. Cover is just for protection that bearing doesnt get any dirt inside.
ChupaCabraaaaz the seals get worn out specially if you run the motor lean, it will allow more air in
@@rajaa111 yes and no, 99.9% of the seal is done by the crankshaft, the idea behind this is actually different than what most think, as the seal wears/lets dirt in(or you've sucked dirt in filter)it wears the crank and thats where the continuous "leaky" front bearings come from. i see it time and time again, people will change the bearing and itll run slightly richer providing more lube for the bearing and crank making it seem like the fix is completed, but yet the air leak will eventually appear again as the bearing shield wears.
try a brand new crank and watch all those issues vanish ;)
also more engines will leak through the pinch bolt/carb seal than issues with front bearings(real dusty/sandy tracks aside).
reds engines with the old black seal and piccos the seal on the bearing brand new would move within the bearing races... but it ran fine.. wonder why? because they dont seal the engine.
one more thing, dont forget the thick oil will technically seal the bearing untill you've ran it.
Thank you brotha you explained this very well...
At this point its a $$decision but a kne motor cause parts wise for another 200 250 $$just buy knew an keep your stuff right an fix b4 the problem occurs
Robert Tannenbaum that’s what I told him, plus the amount of work to clean this motor, I would just buy new
Yo Rajaa my boy.. what plug u use in ur Non-turbo motors ???? What's the best u can buy ???? If I remember clearly John was sayin something about platinum or some shit.. Could be wrong thou...Help a brother out I'm gonna most likely place n order tonight for some random crap..Let me no if u can.. Hell if n e 1 else reads this comment n got some ideas.. I appreciate 👍👍👍🇱🇷🇱🇷🇱🇷🇱🇷🗽🗽
Wow.. having used a standard plug in a mins, I think I was using the MaCoy MC-55, I can't really remember, but lrp makes the iridium r5 thats a standard plug it comes with the lrp .32 engines
A good motor in combination with good fuel doesn't nust.
Which fuel are you using?
Luca Radda I believe he’s was using vp, I will ask him, not my engine
Doesn't matter what fuel he's using, all of these fuels WILL make the internals rust without after run oil. It's because the fuel these little ntiro motors run on is nitro methane and methanol nixed with oil, which naturally attracts moisture which equals rust. Nothing you can do about it except put after run oil which will prevent this. Hey @rajaa111 great vid!
Hi bro, I need the link of how to replace front bearing
Here you go
ua-cam.com/video/7nmm1RyRU5U/v-deo.html
Why did it got rusty because he wasnt using after run oil
I'm not sure, I think he had the engine in a damp place for a while and it eventually started rusting inside
Is there a way to clean that rust bro
I use a soft brush or a brass wire brush then rise out with nitro fuel
Hey how do you re pinch the sleeve?
Blueberry Pancakes ohh ok 👌🏾
Yes it only cost 15 dollars
Is the motor cleanable? Or just trash now?
it can be cleaned but the crack, rod and maybe it needs a pitch so you have to ask if its worth cleaning it
Thats when I would buy another kit for it to far gone
Ruben Hustle same here brotha 👍🏾
Is this applicable to ceramic bearings??
serpent977MB yes sir anywhere the seals could go bad
@@rajaa111 👍🏼👍🏼😎
I would just tear it all down an at worst rebuild it completely
Congratulations, you deserve it my friend, 👍
My blade nitro won't start leaking front bearing
Easy replacement
Are there different sizes of bearings ? And can any bearing fit as long its the same size, I'm knew to this bot love it thank you for your help brother
Froggy Diaz most front bearing are the same size but sometimes they have some little differences, it’s best to look your engine up and see what the front bearing size is before you buy one
Aluminum doesn’t rust fellas....there is rust on crank maybe...but all that brown is just burn oil residue....
Clay Grantham I believe I did say a lot of the browning was caster build up? But the ring of the rear bearing and crank has a good a mount of rush. I’m sure all this could be cleaned out
What you are seeing is not rust but vanish from caster oil which has been sitting in the engine gumming it up, typically seen on engines which haven’t been flushed out correctly after use or stored with a glob of flue still in the crankcase. There’s lots of carbon build up too on the liner exhaust ports. I would have thought a high performance motor like this would more likely be using a synthetic oil mix.
How did u know u had a leak ?
They usually dont hold a tune at all. Signs of front bearing or lose of pinch
He said engine will not idle and very hard to turn
I know this sounds funny but you can use toothpaste and a brush to clean all the carbon off the piston top
I have never seen an engine in such a bad condition. Only the head an the carb look good to me, all the rest is for the bin.
groovyrouvi that’s what I said, I would just grab a new motor maybe put the carb in something else
@@rajaa111 some month ago I did a prerun with exactly the same engine watch the video 1drv.ms/v/s!AhLh1Q05Yq6rh1Do_PsLTVSIWKTP
