The carousel of chicken legs! 14 chciken legs all at the same time! Thanks for the suggestion Shakaloo! Unfortunately this can only be done in the 8 Qt. Ninja Foodi! But maybe they can be done in the 6.5 Qt with the help of the viewers. Post down below any ideas on how this can be done in the 6.5 Qt.Ninja Foodi and if you want I will do a. video. on how to do it! Thank you everyone for watching!
I will have to try standing up the legs in the 6.5 Qt. -maybe placing the dehydrator piece on bottom. Thanks for the tip aet9rat6! and thank you for watching and commenting!
I have been doing the legs for quite a while with the Ninja Foodi Skewer Stand, and the stand you would use to cook with pressure cooker Debbiedoo's Home Pressure Cooking Beer Can Chicken Holder Rack for Use with Instant Pot, Grill Or Oven I purchase on Amazon. the trick to having crispy chicken skin is to coat your chicken first with a light coating of cooking oil then your spices. it comes out great, better yet is you want them to taste like they were cooked outside after putting the oil on put onion garlic powder salt and pepper. then if you want you can put a rub-on, if you wish to have barbecue sauce put that on in the last five minutes.
AMAZON NOW HAS THE RACK! My wife and I have the instant pot duo crisp and the rack and it works a treat with the 8 qt. We generally use a coating like the Louisiana breading or shake and bake type stuff.
Hi Mikey , sometimes I do and sometimes I don’t. Think the most important is to Pat dry the legs. If I remember this weekend maybe I will do one leg with and then other without oil just to see.
I just bought this accessory but haven't gotten to use it yet. I'm in NY state & I got this to make a local delicacy called Spiedies. This is marinated lamb or chicken meat cooked on a spit usually on a grill, then served as a sandwich on fresh Italian bread. I don't have a grill anymore,so I want to see if I can make Spiedies on my Ninja Foodi using air crisp. Thanks for this video. I'll have to give the drumsticks a try too!
My 5.0 qt. Ninja Foodi (4” deep) won’t work for doing chicken legs that way. :( Oh, how I wish I could! I’m writing inquiring about the 9” silicone mat I see you using in your video. When I saw it, I thought it would be THE best thing for use in the bottom of my coated pot, as I’m finding all kinds of non-standard metal thingys I might use to try to double stack in my 9.5” wide Foodi. Ninja doesn’t have many accessories for their 5.0. So, I wouldn’t have to worry over trying to find silicone-tipped metal stands, trays, etc., after all if I could have a supply of those 9” silicone mats... Only, when I looked up the brand that’s my favorite - a very reputable brand - I learned they’re made for baking, mostly, AND they’re made with fiberglass - it’s not all silicone. I even wrote, and heard they’re recommended only for baking. And that made me pause... Fiberglass? Would that be safe? What if...??? That sent me looking for a plain, all-silicone mat, but, so far, other than some that are trivets, too, I haven’t found one. (There is the large safe grip microwave style that’s so popular, now. But 10” is the smallest made, and they’re pretty expensive to just cut down. I had the opposite problem wanting something really large with which I could set my steaming hot lid, but had more success there... There I had the opposite problem: none big enough. The mats only go to 12” in size.) But for that I found a wonderful work around... Are you aware of any other 100% silcione mats that can be used, instead of the type with fiberglass in them? Do you think the fiberglass is safe? Thanks! Linda
Hi Linda! I use the silicone rounds that are made with fiberglass as long as you don't cut them they are dine fro. protecting the bottom. I did pick up a silicone roll that can be cut. here is a link. amzn.to/2UxdRl8 and here is a link for the silicone rounds. 9" and a link for the 8.5 amzn.to/2RXVO5X I use the rounds to protect the bottom of my ninja pot. Not sure if they are safe to PC with. I do have silicone squares for my baking sheets and I use them for cookies, etc...
Hi Lisa, could you have used the Roast function on this and would it have made any difference? Is it worth getting the 8 Qt. Ninja Foodi for other stuff?
Yes you. probably could have. I have to admit don't really. know the difference between the functions. What I mean is there a difference in fan speed because when you think about it what really is the difference? Only difference is the temperature settings. But maybe this is a question for the company. If you have the 6.5 Qt. I would opt. for. the grill. But if you don't have any of the machines I would choose the 8 Qt. as it is the most versatile. Thanks David for watching and commenting!
I was thinking the same thing-I prefer thighs over legs. Hey you gotta start planning and organizing what you are going to make first! Thanks Elizabeth! I can't wait to see what you come up with!
Geeze, loueeze:( This only works with a 6 qt Ninja???? Can I override it and try it with my 8 qt. ? Also, where can I purchase the carousel. Thank a bunch! :)
It works only with the 8 Qt. I better go back and watch video again. It can be purchased at Ninja Kitchen here is a link www.ninjakitchen.com/parts/0/all/2609/foodi-skewer-stand/ Amazon does not carry it. Anything made in the 6.5 Qt can be made in the 8 Qt. Thanks Lori!
That's another test. But I would think it would but you wouldn't be able to add as many legs. Wouldn't want them to touch so as not to knock/scrape off coating. Maybe half the amount of legs. Thanks for commenting and watching coco200066!
Lisa-what was your total cook time on the legs? I know the rule of thumb is cook by temp, and not time time alone, but just out of curiosity, was your total cook time 30 min or closer to 45? Thanks, in advance.
Sorry I should have stated they took around 40 minutes-once again all depends on the size of the legs and also there is a lot of legs in the pot. Some were done earlier as they were smaller, larger ones took longer. But overall I was happy how they came out if I ever have to cook a large amount of legs. Thanks Dave!
Divide the lowest cook time by 2 and subtract one. If noodles take 10 minutes to cook divide by 2 you get 5 three subtract 1 which is 4 minutes. This formula can be used for all pastas-general rule of thumb and you need 4 cups of water for a pound of pasta. If the pasta number starts at an odd number for example 7 round down to 6 then do the formula. Thanks Stacy!

I stand my legs up (bone at top) in my Ninja and Instant Pot. They are so good. Thanks for sharing a new gadget that I haven't seen.

That’s a great idea for legs
Thanks!
Excellent experiment👍👍😁😁
Great video! I wanted to ask, do you spray oil on them at some point? I've been having mixed results with my 8qt foodi airfryer

Utica area? I'm outside Albany-well when I'm not on a travel nurse assignment. You can probably make your spiedies using the Ninja Foodi.
@@pressurecrisp Southern Tier near PA border. Yes I think I can do my Spiedies this way. Just been hella busy lately & haven't had time to try yet.😉
@@karenhenry1233 let me know how they come out
Where can u buy the kabob skewer? If my ninja didn't come with it does that mean I don't have the 8 quart?
You can purchase skewers either directly from Ninja Kitchen or on Amazon. Thanks!
Finally someone who seem to know what there doing!compare to the youtuber's who's promoting & using the Ninja...their food looks unappetizing!!!
Thanks Warren! Sometimes I. screw up but I try!

I try but I edit out most every time I wash my hands. Thanks fadedsmile!

Thanks for the tip!
So if you would make legs on the more suited grill xl, is there a big difference? I wonder which one to buy.
Lol why didn’t you let the last 10secs finish, 😂 the ocd in me. Super smart idea i want that little kabob stand
lol. Guess I wanted to eat. one :). Next time I'll finish the 10 seconds. Thanks Danessa. Brown!
i just got a 6.5 quart ninja foodi from amazon and it didnt come with this "kebab skewer" damn it! looks like im gonna have to order it separately
I would if you did 8 to 9 legs, where they would not be touching that they would come out a lot crispier.
