      Whether GF was on drugs or not has no bearing, he was still murdered.
      Chauvin will have to stand trial in an other case involving a 14 year old girl,( also POC!). There he did the same thing, except the girl survived. Plus, in another case he was also reprimanded. Despite Chauvin's defense attorney's statement that Chauvin had an unblemished record, Chauvin's conduct records show the opposite.

      @brucehoward8926 3 роки тому +6

      @@iceblue1457 I understand that, but the facts of the matter is George Floyd had a lethal dose of fentanyl in his blood, in addition to half chewed pills found on the floor of the police cruiser. The most likely explanation was George had these pills in his pocket, and knowing that he was going to be searched for using fake money, decided to put the pills in his mouth so that he wouldnt be charged with possession. These pills then induced a paranoia and panic attack which caused him to start shouting that he couldnt breath due to the toxic levels of fentanyl in his blood (This was before anybody had pinned him to the ground). He then begun resisting arrest to which he was pinned to the ground of which he finally overdosed.
      Chauvin definitely lacked empathy in his arrest of George Floyd, but it's clear he is not a murderer. It would even be a stretch to charge him with manslaughter... let alone murder. I think Chauvin as a police officer maybe should have been able to identify that George was ODing and call for an ambulance, but not being able to correctly diagnose a medical condition isnt exactly something I'd be too harsh on a police officer over.
      I dont know, the idiots controlling the narrative are simply trying to make Derek Chauvin out to be some secret KKK member who burnt crosses and had massacred the black man and finally got caught. Nope, just a police officer who arrested some dude who overdosed and died in his custody, so he got blamed for the death. That's all.

      Qualified immunity, as it exists currently, is a huge problem. It's INTENT is to cover the actions of an officer acting in good faith to preserve life (sometimes persevering life means having to take the life of another - I'm not ignoring that) and uphold the law. Instead it's been used as a blanket to cover every single infraction or violation of the law any officer makes at any time. It's this usage that has become systemic and problematic throughout the country.
      You cannot have a police force that is without accountability.
