Indiegogo Campaign pre-order user here. I ended up going with he KB version. I already have a modded DS and 3DS. Love the clamshell design hence why I got the AyaNeo Flib_KB. Plus, having a physical keyboard makes playing olders PC titles like Phantasy Star Online: Blue Burst works MUCH better. For some reason, the on screen keyboard on Windows handhelds don't want to work with older PC titles.
@@PlayStationology The joysticks and buttons placements are asymmetrical. Like an Xbox or Nintendo controller. The GPD brand has the buttons and joysticks all at the top of the device. I didn't want that kind of ergonomics.
Can you make a vid about which one your favorite PC handhelds or make a rotation video on which one you use the most and why an also which one you recommend getting
We do one every six months or so when new generation are available. We done one back in October at ua-cam.com/video/u3_vO9tp9Xw/v-deo.html We are planning the next video but it will be a couple of months when there are more of the 8xxx series models available to compare.
The GPD Win 4 seems to have better performance - is that still the case? Or is it a matter of adjusting the GPU/CPU ratio to match? I'm looking at getting one or the other, and love the software for the Ayaneo, but the raw power of the GPD seems to be a bit of a scale-tipper right now.
I would personally go for the Win 4, the Flips are fine but do perform overall a little slower and the DS especially the slowest. You could probably tweak a few settings for CPU/GPU to improve things. But out of the box, the Win 4 is what I would choose.

Benchmarks don’t matter much anymore when you can frame gen. I can modern games on a 5600 Aya Neo. This might cause some additional fracturing b/c it’s so old but once you switch to a 7000 series now you can run basically anything at high frame rates unless it’s coded like crap. If the dual screen can run a browser at the bottom you can stream video at the bottom while gaming at the top, hypothetically. Like Fubo or UA-cam tv, which would be the greatest application of said tech, by far. 😂
If streaming video drops frames you can get them back if it causes stuttering you can’t fix that but there isn’t enough reviews of the tech so I don’t know. On an Aya Neo with a 5600 series mobile chip you can run Returnal & Horizon Forbidden West w/ Lossless Scaling so w/ Lossless you will push damn near every game to 100 frames on this. You won’t play a single game that can’t hit 60 fps. Throw those damn “benchmarks” away. We are in a new world of gaming where they are now obsolete. 😂
AYANEO were planning to add support for an onscreen keyboard in the second display. I haven't got it on me to check but it should be added at some point if not already.
Unpopular opinion, but for me, it feels like the D-pad on the Nintendo Switch Joy-cons. I enjoy the joy cons so I have no problem Aya Neo Flip buttons.
The D-Pad is good. I found myself using it more on the DS while playing some games as I was using it to navigate menus. I still have the habit of using keyboard for menus in games so didnt use it as much on the KB model, but they are both the same D-Pad.
So you get to choose between a keyboard you won't use or a screen you won't use. Feels like a "miss" from AyaNeo on this occasion. I do love their 2S though!
In my opnion the DS is just an annoying gimmick that only gets value for 3DS games. I think a keyboard wont be used that often but if you need to press just some buttons it might be very helpful and its just a big plus especially on the go. So Im happy i chose it but still have to wait for the 8840u model
Ayaneo is a waste of Money Rog ally extreme or lenovo legion go would be best first it is sold world wide and rog got 2 year warranty.. clam shell is bad hinge is weak.

What would you use the second screen for? To show the system stats, easy access to TDP etc? Or would you have something else showing there?

Ayaneo flip kb has a keyboard, actually pocketable unlike those, and is similair price to legion go
