Really gave this hard look, but decided on the Odin 2. But i have to admit this looks so sleek but less comfortable to use without the case. I might reconsider and get this down the road

Yeah. That's the thing, there are a lot of other comparable handhelds that are put there that are just as powerful, but less expensive.

I dunno. Really wanted to love mine, but I finally got it yesterday and dang. Super disappointed. Can't remap the custom buttons, Daijisho doesn't work properly with it since it doesn't recognize the triggers (analog or button mode), I haven't found any NS games that work on it yet... It just has too many shortcomings right now. The Odin 2 was good to go out of the box. Everything "just worked." But mine will probably end up on a shelf for a few months until the software properly supports everything.

It looks pretty and cool. I like the glowing part on the joystick.
But the thing is, it feels I couldn't put a tempered glass over it since the controllers on the side has also a glossy finish. That bad boy in my possession will get scratched without a doubt. 😅

I bought a tempered glass from AliExpress for mine which I’m pretty happy with and goes over both controllers. You should find it if you look for it.

The Odin 2 is superior, IMHO. Absolutely no problem at all. I know that type of D-pad that unit uses, (it's similar to what I have on my Switch currently) and it's horrible, at least in fighting games or really any game where precision is essential.

You can have a black console and it not be a fingerprint magnet. It all depends on the materials that the manufacturer uses. I had a black Gamecube and the controllers were never a fingerprint magnet.

What gets me is for a gaming device, how does it not have a headphone jack? Like I rather spend less and get an Odin 2, better ergonomics, nearly as fast and it has a headphone jack. I say get this if you wish to put it in the pocket, a bigger pocket without a case and for the looks. Other than that this is a big pass for me. It's too damn fragile.

@@baldlyrudy You're welcome! Sorry for the delay, I had my comment replies notification turned off.
I mean it's a great handheld but it just isn't for me given the price. I live in Canada, so that Odin base instead of $300, would call me nearly $400 with the exchange rate, it's still a tough pill to swallow but bang for the buck? Ya know? heh.. Did you get the Mini yet? I'm just subscribing.
I already own an Odin 1 base and I LOVE IT, order #8**, one of the firsts that got it, it has some issues like tons of micro cracks in it but it gets the job done.
