I visited Paris in the winter of 2018 and am current planning a summer trip for 2021. I’ve been dying to get back to Paris and next year my youngest sister graduates high school so this will be her graduation trip and my post corona trip to myself lol. Paris is beautiful in the winter but I can’t wait to experience it in the late spring/early summer ❤️

I had a trip to Paris planned for 2020 and once Covid hit, started Duolingo. Just about 8 min. a day but day after day it really is noticeable how I’m improving…about 400 days later - AND it’s FREE. Will feel more comfortable, like you say, “at least trying” to communicate once we make it over.

Hi Tiffany. I hope you know I’m your fan and I am happy you are able to enjoy an open Paris, enjoy markets, shopping, brunch cafés, restaurants and make an occasional side trip to other areas. Unfortunately there are so many people in the US who are without a paycheck, without medical coverage, losing their businesses, apartments and homes, many living in cars, tents or shelters and eating from food banks. We are still under lock down, unemployed and broken as the CV ravages and continues to kill so many. I too had CV after my return from Paris in February. All the while, the moron in chief and his hateful cronies in the Senate, like Nero, fiddle as our country burns from pandemic, financial destitution and the repercussions from systemic racism. While I follow a few, images of so many American “ex-pats” enjoying good times in and around Paris let alone the south of France and other EU countries leaves me curious. Instead of “Buddy can you spare a dime” I ask, “Buddy can you spare a bottle of rosé.” Please don’t stay away from acknowledging what has been going on in the US.
