Louise Carmen was so happy to welcome you in our shop 😀. I can’t wait to see the patina of your Pocket notebooks carrying your passport 😍. See you soon Passage du cerf, Paris 2 🩵
Having seen your shop in the video makes me feel a little sad that I am, as vegetarian, avoid leather as much as possible. 🙇🏼♀️ It really looks nice and the young lady seems to be very nice.
Thank you for this. May I add one more? Marin Montagut (Rue Madame, by Luxembourg Gardens) is one of my favorite shops in Paris - for artsy, locally made gifts. The owner hand-paints a lot of the items. It’s a magical store!
I just wanted to say thank you so much for all the content you guys post. I have never been to Europe, I'm a woman in my early 20's and I booked a solo trip for 2 months to France next year. This is the only channel I feel like has actually helped me not feel so scared because of all your amazing travel tips.
Have a wonderful time; you will see so much! Be sure to take time to relax in a cafe with a coffee or sparkling water every day -- you'll need a break now and then.
Please go asap, when I was your age I planned to go but life got in the way. I regretted never going. Don't be afraid you will have great experiences. Now in my sixties I will go soon; solo too. It would have been a different experience in my twenties or thirties but I'm sure I will still have fun. Bon Voyage!
Go, go,go!!! I feel for Violet when she said “life got in the way”!! I had wanted to go since I had read a book when I was 16…thankfully, a friend was going and had everything (hotels and reservations) paid for two people and that person backed out…yea, I was the “Substitute “ at 43! Since then I’ve gone 13 times!!! Now that I’m 78 and my body is no longer able to walk, walk, walk I can only watch these guys and live vicariously through them…
OMG! Colleen!!! I was entranced the minute you walked into the first one store and on to the next!!! But you had me just by entering into E. Dehillerin! I always went there when I was in Paris just to walk down the aisle and pick up a knife or two 🫣 with their name on it or to get another rolling pin which I still use thirty years later…one of the times after being there the year before the salesman even remembered me…and it’s also a wonderful place for Laguiole pocket knife’s one of which I bought for my son…thank you as always for all these wonderful places…
@coletten9602 Don’t be scared. France has a lot of beautiful places. I haven’t been in France as much as I would like to, but if you have the opportunity to travel around France, just do it. Learn some vocabulary, because it’s always nice to be able to say some words and just enjoy it.
I didn't think I needed a passport cover, but after seeing the beautiful craftsmanship and the fun you had customizing, I might need to reconsider 😉 Great video!
Thank you for showcasing extraordinary French artisans. It is refreshing to see shops that aren’t owned by big conglomerates carrying brands you can buy anywhere. P.S. Nov 11 is Armistice Day in France, Remembrance Day in Commonwealth countries. Many shops are closed to respect the holiday.
Watching this video makes me really want to just go walk around in Paris again. I loved just walking around checking things out there. There's something special about it.
I went to LOUISE CARMEN when I was in Paris, two weeks ago. While in the shop, I became overheated, dizzy, and feeling sick at my stomach. The store was very busy that day, but the staff took great care of me, giving me cold water and candy and letting me sit down at the back of the shop. It was a bit of an ordeal, and even the woman who oversees the building I got involved. I just wanted to say this is an excellent example of how sweet, kind and caring the Parisian people are. And I also got my passport cover, one I had recovered a bit.😊
Hello and greetings from Croatia, your videos helped us out a lot while in Paris and now we watch your videos all the time together as a family and really enjoj in them. Thank you for your help!😃
As a miniature hobbyist I'm so excited to visit La Boite a Joujoux! We are traveling to Paris for Christmas this year, and I came across this shop while doing research for our trip. There are not many brick and mortar miniature shops left in the US anymore, so it's always something I look for when we travel!
On my first trip to Paris almost 20 years ago, my friend carried a list of shops to visit that she tore out from a travel magazine. The place that was most memorable to me was a small shop that made its own paper. We brought home jewel-toned paper notebooks. Such wonderful gifts! This place was so off-the-beaten track and before Google maps. At that time we relied on a small red "Paris Classique Par Arrondissement" that showed every street and alley to find it.
Running a Bakery in London I used to use a trip to Dehellerin as an excuse for a long weekend in Paris :) It's a major culture shift and an amazing place to spend a couple of hours wandering around that rabbit warren of a store. I loved it.
Your videos were a godsend on my honeymoon last month. We had a blast in Paris and can’t wait to go back. Thank you for everything, I can’t wait for the next video!
Thank you for the wonderful vlog, the glove shop was my number one. The burgundy gloves Colleen chose exquisite and at €110 very well priced compared to Australia. As a glove wearer since childhood, nothing finishes an outfit like beautiful gloves. Your vlogs are such amazing sources and resources. May i be so bold, is there any chance you can do a vlog on the Paris auction houses where furniture and textiles etc are sold. I rember seeing a couple of the big hotels had big refits done and things were being sold at auction but how and where to find them was a mystery. have a great week, cheers from Melbourne 😊
Oh my gosh, I want to travel to Paris just to shop in these places! You guys are real treasure! This is absolutely priceless (just like all your other videos!) Happy Thanksgiving to you both! Xo
Oh my gosh, I just got home and now I need to come back asap to check out some of these special spots. I LOVE Melodies Graphiques, the others will be fun to check out. Thank you for highlighting these lovely local artisans and independent businesses. On y va!
Heyy! I just want to thank you guys for al the amazing content and videos you guys post. It was very insightful and helpful during my trip a week back. We truly enjoyed Paris and will go back in time to come!
Thank you for sharing this. I love watching you both & feel like I’am getting to know Paris. I enjoy you’re walks & the scenery you share. This one was especially enjoyable.
I love that you lead by example, saying "bonjour" when you enter a shop. I hope your viewers believe you now when you say Parisians aren't rude. You just need to know the codes.
Born long ago in Paris, lived at least 50 years there, I love looking at your vids. I live now in the south of France, planning 3 days in Paris next month, your video is precious, les passages à Paris, which were the ancestors of shopping malls, are marvelous places.
Absolutely loved our trip to Paris, thanks in large part to your videos! Watching again only makes me want to go back! Even though we were there 7 days and had an amazing time, there’s still so much to see and do. Merci beaucoup!!
Fabulous video Colleen and Antoine! Thanks very much! Your videos have become my Saturday morning "go-to" with my second cup of coffee here in NYC. We are preparing for Thanksgiving next Thursday and Christmas this year has fully decorated trees before Halloween! I prefer a European Christmas celebration: low key, elegant, quiet over the blasting loud commercial extravaganza here .... misses the point of Christmas..in my view!. Perhaps Paris in 2024! Thanks as always for your efforts!
Oh my heart, these places are wonderful! I’m starting to re-think my packing (& budget!) for next autumn to accommodate some of the treasures I must have & bring home. Merci beaucoup! 🥰
I wanted to say from the bottom of my heart, thank you thank you thank you for this video. We are in Paris and visited Louise Carmen and got the perfect gift for my wife’s good friend. It’s a beautiful store and we think she will cherish the gift for a lifetime.
Thanks so much for this video. I’ve been to Paris before & seen the sights & always wanted to return just to shop… now I know where to go. Cheers from Australia 🦘
🇲🇫Merci Colleen and Antoine, these hidden gems are amazing and are what makes Paris so special. Paris always surprises and delights. I did something in Paris this October I said I'd never do -- I went to the 11 pm Moulin Rouge late evening show ($99 USD) based on a well respected Paris UA-camr's recommendation. It was the most fabulous, joyfilled 2 hour production. The 15 minute French Cancan finale was incredible. People turned up their noses and said "too touristy" when I shared my discovery. Of course they admitted they had never been! The joy I experienced my first night in Paris at the Moulin Rouge made this trip truly special. ❤
Hooray 🎉 for you stepping out of your comfort zone! I have never been to the show and had been contemplating going when in Paris for the month of June. Well, you just nudged me over the edge. I am definitely going! 😊
We have been twice for the early show (a few years ago) with dinner and champagne absolutely fantastic show. I still have the key rings and I had a poster of Feerie that I had framed. We were in Paris last June but as always never enough time. Next visit we would probably go again and definitely stay longer.
Thank you 🙏🏻 for these awesome resourceful videos. We refer lots of friends and family to your channel (#1 UA-cam channel for all things Paris)! Our family visited Paris this last summer and thanks to your videos we had a wonderful time planning it all out. My wife and I were very excited to see the last two stores in this video. We visited them both. Our girls had a wonderful time in the Toy Shop. Allez, on y Va!
As a watercolor artist, Boisnard is a favorite art store! From the shop in Passage Jouffrey in 2022, I brought back Laulhere berets for four friends. They're the real thing and pack easily.
LOVE ❤️ YOUR VIDEO. THANK YOU!! For taking us, to a Great!! Shops. I just suscribe to your channel. Congratulations, and cheers 🍻 to you guys. Greetings from New York.❤
Magnifique , beautiful couple !!!! It is a pleasure to watch your videos and I can’t wait for the next one. You have given me the joy to visit local stores along with you. In my last trip to Paris I couldn’t have the chance to visit them and even missed the passages and their great stores that were part of my plans. Thank you , guys !!!! Kisses and hugs !!! 💕
This was fascinating. The little french figurines at the last shop were unlike anything in California. The leather book shop, the glove shop, enchanting artisan shops - these are rare or nonexistent here. These videos are a treat!
You both are amazing. I love your videos. Lots of information. I’m so glad I bumped into your videos. It’s a big big help for a solo traveler..Thank you
So fun to see the shops! thank you Colleen! I can't wait to see the video on the Paris flea market that's where i want to go someday & get some real French treasures.
Just an idea, when packing to come to Paris layer bubble wrap between clothes. Buy a foldable plastic or wood box, and lastly, liberally sprinkle packing peanuts all over your suitcase just before closing it. I have had excellent luck bringing home fragile treasures doing this.
Amazing places ! I love the covered passages, so many gems there ❤ well, I’ll have to get my passport cover now lol Thanks for the amazing video Antoine and Colleen!!
I flew halfway around the world from NYC, 3,625 miles to get my entire family Louise Carmen leather products. I was lost first time in Paris but I found the boutique. Near closing with a long line. I had such a large order the staff was grade AAA+++ fantastic. You will not find a better leather product & service. Worth the trip recommendation from “Les Frenchies”❤🇫🇷👍🏽
We just left Louise Carmen... and the staff was warm and lovely. The portfolios were beautiful and mine was ready in 20 minutes! Thanks for this great recommendation! ❤
Thank you SO much for this wonderful video! Do you know if E. Dehillerin ( Les Halles) will ship to the US? We will be there soon and would love to ship some kitchen knives back.
Another very nice video, thanks! Three more to add to your list: Emery & Cie, 18, Passage de la Main d’ Or (handcrafted interior decoration) - Tassin Cuir, 95, Rue du Faubourg Saint Antoine (leather and leather processing), both near Bastille. And last but not least ‘Clair de Rêve’ on the Isle Saint-Louis (a truly poetic marionette shop). Paris is like oxygen for the creative soul..
I really enjoy watching y’all videos of Paris. My lifelong dream is to go to Paris. Though I am physically disabled (differently able bodied) as I like to call myself. I love those adorable little souvenirs like the music box, stuffed animals.etc… Watching your videos is the second best to being in Paris. Thank you so much for sharing your videos.❤😊

There was a very small Arcade Shops in - of all places - Providence, RI. I bought a few of my son's baby clothes there ( I only bought a few very unique clothing items there, in one of the shops bc they were pretty expensive!) I'm sure the building is still there, but I haven't been there in decades... i wonder whatshops, if any are in there, now. So i know what you mean, although this Arcade in Providence was quite small co.pared to yours, in Paris! You reminded me of that experience there. Paris looks like a huge city so there much be so much to see! Thank you for posting your interesting videos!
Thank you for the art store suggestion! I ran out of charcoal pencils (crayons de charbon) and ended up in the Sennelier store on Quai de Voltaire. It has to be 150-200 years old.

😊 thank you
Watching this video makes me really want to just go walk around in Paris again. I loved just walking around checking things out there. There's something special about it.
What a great video idea, and I love how Colleen tells you the impact of the gifts and where to put them!

Really fascinating video, thank you! Super cute when the lady says she watches your videos - does this happen often when you guys are out and about?
Thank you for sharing and showing the hidden gems in Paris. Wonderful.

Melodie Graphique is one of my favorite shops in Paris. Calligraine is another great shop just a few doors down.
Ooh 😯, my favorite were the leather stores, I love quality craftsmanship ❤. Thanks for sharing this amazing video..
I loved this video. I especially loved your comparison of the gloves to Montreal vs Toronto. ( Canadian girl here)

Found your wonderful channel last week and have been binge watching your videos. You both are so fun, charming, down to earth and interesting.
Wonderful to learn more about French craftsmen and independent shops that provide bespoke gifts! Thanks so much for another great video!
This is in your top 5 for sure. We are long since back from France but still watch you.
This was fascinating. The little french figurines at the last shop were unlike anything in California. The leather book shop, the glove shop, enchanting artisan shops - these are rare or nonexistent here. These videos are a treat!
I like how she shops...a kindred spirit.🥰
😁

So fun to see the shops! thank you Colleen! I can't wait to see the video on the Paris flea market that's where i want to go someday & get some real French treasures.
The way I gasped at that white flower in the first store. I need it but I'm afraid I'll break it on the way home and cry.
Just an idea, when packing to come to Paris layer bubble wrap between clothes. Buy a foldable plastic or wood box, and lastly, liberally sprinkle packing peanuts all over your suitcase just before closing it. I have had excellent luck bringing home fragile treasures doing this.
Love, love, love the passport covers with the charms!🩷🇫🇷
Oh my gosh, I am so happy to have found your channel. You two are amazing together and so much fun and entertaining. I cannot wait to visit Paris.❤
Awe, thank you. We're having fun over here. Allez, on y va!
I loved E. Dehillerin! I still have several of their knives and little copper pots. ....and yes it WAS overwhelming at first (in a good way).
Absolutely!
Amazing places ! I love the covered passages, so many gems there ❤ well, I’ll have to get my passport cover now lol
Thanks for the amazing video Antoine and Colleen!!
I hope we get to see you two in April for our first trip ❤️ You both are just fab to watch and learn from
I flew halfway around the world from NYC, 3,625 miles to get my entire family Louise Carmen leather products. I was lost first time in Paris but I found the boutique. Near closing with a long line. I had such a large order the staff was grade AAA+++ fantastic. You will not find a better leather product & service. Worth the trip recommendation from “Les Frenchies”❤🇫🇷👍🏽
I am going to Paris in March for 1st time. I would like to go to the leather store. Can you give me pretty accurate location? Thankyou
Love your videos. Totally made our trip to Paris last month ❤
We just left Louise Carmen... and the staff was warm and lovely. The portfolios were beautiful and mine was ready in 20 minutes! Thanks for this great recommendation! ❤
Eu amo Paris. E adorei seu vídeo. Você mostrou preciosidades que eu desconheço. Muito obrigada ❤❤❤
😊❤️👍
Thank you for all these gems!
These gift ideas are right up my alley.
Oh, one can get lost amongst all the *cleverness and quality, charm, beauty - a more ancient sense of things. LOVE. Thanks, guys.
I love your videos. I'm planning a trip to Paris and I'm using your videos to plan my itinerary.
We are going to Paris next year - I can see a pair of gloves in my future!
Thank you SO much for this wonderful video! Do you know if E. Dehillerin ( Les Halles) will ship to the US? We will be there soon and would love to ship some kitchen knives back.
Antoine's little tequila commercial made me laugh out loud! Thanks for all the great tips!
Love this video, thank you! Can you do more including men and women’s clothing, knitting etc?
I really enjoy watching y’all videos of Paris. My lifelong dream is to go to Paris. Though I am physically disabled (differently able bodied) as I like to call myself. I love those adorable little souvenirs like the music box, stuffed animals.etc…
Watching your videos is the second best to being in Paris. Thank you so much for sharing your videos.❤😊
I love how you referenced Montreal and Toronto 😊
Bonjour from Toronto !!!!
I am going to visit every shop. I am especially looking forward to the store that has the miniatures. I have been building, wiring and decorating dolls houses for years! Whether a gift or donation for a charity auction, they are always a hit and l love making them. Win-win. Can hardly wait to see what they have!😊
Great video! There are so many great stores in pasages that are overlooked !
I love this video! I'm always seeking out special art and stationery stores.
all the beautiful shops! thank you, I might visit those stores you mention here.
Would love a tour of that art supply store!! Hope you can make it happen!❤
Fun! I purchased puzzle cards for my grandsons when I was in Paris last April. Cool!
Fantastique vidéo! We will find these gems on our visit in April.
This is fantastic. Thank you for making this video
I enjoyed and loved your video so much! Thank you😊

Omg. Best line ever. This is Montreal and this is Toronto. So, so true! Greetings from Toronto!!
As we just returned from Paris a few weeks ago, I now have to go back to shop at these stores. 😊
Very nice for the shop.
I like your recommendations. That looks like good quality products.
😊❤️👍
Would love it if you could do a video on the Paris Museum pass! It's a little confusing, plus I'd be curious to see how it works and if it's worth it!
This was fabulous, thank you so much!
Love ❤️ from Australia 🇦🇺
Thank you for the art store suggestion! I ran out of charcoal pencils (crayons de charbon) and ended up in the Sennelier store on Quai de Voltaire. It has to be 150-200 years old.
differently visiting all of them on my trip to paris thanks for sharing
