I agree with your first statement wholeheartedly. The second part seems like an unnecessary dig. Peterson isn’t trained as an academic philosopher, but he certainly strives to be a lover of wisdom and I think, particularly his early work has contributed good things to the world. Just as an aside, I don’t think that his recent contributions are as helpful, though in part they still are.

Thank you for saying this! Existential problems are not solved via politics. For Peterson to intermingle the two is a perversion upon the problem of meaning itself.
