the elcor Hamlet story doesn't end with ME2, in the citadel DLC for ME3 you can actually meet Francis Kitt and the Elcor that plays Hamlet, it's in the Silversun Strip
I played Citadel DLC recently and I thought they were talking about Macbeth as the next play. Anyway loved this running storyline, as well as the Blasto movies.
Also the reference of “you haven’t heard it until you heard it in Elcor” is tied to a line from the star trey movies “you haven’t heard Shakespeare until you’ve heard it in Klingon”
in ME2, aboard the Quarian fleet you can ask Admiral Koris about his ship called Qwib Qwib. Korris responds with something like he wishes his ship had fancy name like Defhranz or Iktomy. so you know Quarian use 'vas' to indicate what ship they serve. admiral koris vas defhranz or admiral koris vas iktomy sounds like Vas Deferens and vasectomy.
The last part when the Eclor is talking about "you haven't heard Shakespeare until..." That is also a call back to Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country when General Chang says 'You haven't heard Shakespeare until you've heard it in the original Klingon.'.
16:59 Kaidan and James use it to play poker. You can encounter them playing sometime after Kaidan joins the crew, I think it’s somewhere in the middle of the Rannoch storyline
Kaiden complains that James cleaned him out and says “I’ve got some land in the Sunshine Coast I could throw in” and James says “I’ll pass”. I remember that cuz I’m in Australia and loved the Aussie shout out.
@@Dndditches why does Kaidan, a Canadian, own land in Australia? Also, how can he afford that on a military salary? He’d only been an O-4 for less than a year
6, and 7 also have small Star Trek references. When the ad for number 6 says: "You have not experienced Shakespeare until you have heard him in the voice of an elcor." Is a reference to Star Trek VI: "You've not experienced Shakespeare until you have read him in the original Klingon." In Number 7 when Shepherd says "It's Green" This is also a reference to TOS Episode "By any other name" Where Scotty drinks an alien under the table. When asked what they were drinking Scotty ponders the question before replying in drunken stupor: "It's, it's green."
I'll start by saying thank you! You told me about a Star Trek Original series reference that I didn't know about! Also though, you missed a couple of potential Star Trek references in secret 7. "This is... It's green." is a reference to two scenes in Star Trek. One from the original series when Scotty is trying to drink a alien from Andromeda under the table with alcohol in his quarters. Yeah Andromeda. Cool, right? Then also a scene in the Next Generation where Data is giving Scotty again a drink and he describes a drink by saying "It is... It is green." so that's like reference inception. Batarian ale is also used in a similar way to Romulan ale in Star Trek. It's a little more of a stretch, but they often say Romulan ale is 'illegal' and "don't ask how I got it" 😅 Yes I'm a huge Trek nerd. Which is why I'm really impressed you introduced me to a reference in one of my favourite video games to my favourite interaction of Star Trek 😀
"percentage"? It says "parentage". Also, I'll keep mentioning it until someone says it's not much of a secret (but given what you have put in these videos, I don't see why not). Recruit Liara after Virmire (or is it after the other 2 main missions before Virmire?) She starts to thinks she's hallucinating because so much time as passed. The monologue it's kind of funny.
Yeah, parentage, meaning the batarians are calling humans inbreds. Not percentage and however he figured that means small "members" But I mean, if you read through all of these planet descriptions you'll make a few mistakes. Like the methanol from RumGon. Interesting to note the description saying _some species drill for this naturally occurring alcohol_ since humans would go blind or even die from drinking methanol. Easy to miss little details of you're going through the whole catalogue of planet descriptions.
Dude, play Dragon Age! I'm replaying them all now and they're better than anything available these days, honestly. No one did it like old school Bioware. 🙌🏼
The "It's green" line is a reference to a Star trek TOS episode where Scottie gets an extra galactic alien drunk, and when he comes out of cryo-stasis in TNG he goes drinking with Data who repeats the same lines from TOS
Honestly, things like the elcor Hamlet are what make the playthrough of all three games Feel like you're playing through a single game. It ties everything together like you're in a real universe
You played the audio but missed the easter egg when Shepard says "This is green" it's an aumage to a line in Star Trek. On the TNG episode that Scotty cameo'd in Data was playing bartender and as Scotty was looking for real alcohol Data took a bottle out from behind the bar, and when asked what it was, Data's response was "It is green". Also the poker table in ME3 is actually used in a cut scene. Granted not many people have seen it, because not only do you need to save Kaiden in ME1, but you also need to not kill him in ME3, and let him return to service on the Normandy. If you do these and hit his various positive dialogue's, eventually there's a scene where he has a card game using that table. The planet Clagadon is also mentioned in ME2 as that scar was used to try and locate the machine that did the damage, and the target of the shot. That Reaper is where you get the box to use the Omega 4 relay and gain Legion.
Its too bad you missed the obvious reference of the Salarian game salesman. The Grand Terminus Alliance (GTA) game is a direct reference to Grand Theft Auto (GTA), which also took a lot of flak for just how criminal you can be in the game, meeting the exact same defense: Its a game. Not to mention a satirical one.
Ngl I love this 10 secrets videos. Keep up the awesome work bro. So far the videos have all been on some of my all time favorite games and I can't wait for more rdr2 and tw3 videos... my 2 guilty pleasure games lmfao
12:26 I have never seen this LOL. I always just got one drink and moved on. That's hillarious. But it does explain why Mass Effect 3 has a simillair joke where you can drink at the bar and end up on the floor at the couch where Aria T'loak sits in purgatory. Giving you the same judgemental stare :P
While watching your video I found another secret/easter egg: one of the video games the salarian salesman talks about is called "Grim Terminus Alliance" in which you can capture and beat slaves. Sounds a bit like GTA, doesn't it?
this series is super interesting! Great video as always, I binged the other parts just a few days ago! If you ever run out of trilogy secrets, Andromeda has some pretty cool ones too! 😉
Currently playing my Nth playthrough of the Legendary Edition and love seeing these secrets! As many times as I've played ME, a lot of these are either new or incomplete. Like the Video Game salesman's dialogs. Heard SOME of them but by far not all!
The turian bartender is just amazed how Shep downs his/her drink with a helmet on. In Dragon Age, you can find Krogan heads as decoration, I know it is just an Easter egg but man Dragon Age and Mass Effect are series that are similar to each other that they could be in the same universe
Thank you again for these. I keep thinking I surely must have learned everything by now, but then #2-#5 were things I'd completely missed. Regarding "A smaller postscript alludes to the questionable parentage of humans." I presume it was "All humans are bastards" or similar.
7:57 Wait, she didn't just say someone described it to her. She shrieked she never played it. Shrieked. Like she was mad at getting caught out on having no evidence to her claims.
I found most, if not all of these. But I didn't know the texts alluded to other things like Star Trek, other than the obvious ones at least. And I always just thought Presop was a busted moon thing, not that a reaper actually had a hand in it.
You are wrong about poker table. I saw when Garrus play with Vega (and i think with somone else) and talk to each other. Like Garrus and Tali flirting on ship. Btw awsome comback to childhood with ME
Ok I'm gonna finish this video because I'm loving it so for. But Fizhy, I highly reccomend you play at least Dragon Age and Dragon Age 2 at least. They have their flaws but the stories are amazing and well worth your time
I can't remember where I heard it from but somebody from bioware described dragon age and mass effect being in the same universe like this: dragon age is more like a video game series that exists in mass effect
14:34 Sounds to me a lot like Rimworld. If that prisoner cant work then the least they can do is let me harvest their organs. Im giving them food and shelter, the rent is a kidney.
As gamers when you talk to the salarian gamer I wish you could engage in full blown dialog with him about old and new games and depending who is with you say Garrus where he likes game too and will engage as well
Can you confirm a secret? There's a planet where the flavor text talks of a (volus?) Who's told of the reapers and is preparing for them. I don't remember the name or even the game the planet is in; but i would swear I've seen it.
I caught legion doing a robo dance as a celebration after blowing up the collector base. I have tried several times to catch him again but have only seen it once. anyone else catch it ? Oh also if you close the shutters at the helm and dont interact with Joker just stand back behind him with the shutters closed he has tons of extra lines talking to himself one occasion he made brrrrrr noises like a kid pretend driving a car. just keep clsoing shutters and standing behind him after every mission your hear lots.
I like most of your content but this video is awful. Antirumgon and mistaking percentage for parentage… it is like you were desperate for anything you could turn into content and monetize. :/
can you do a collab with lazerzz were he kills you with a rock
Thanks Bayek, very cool!
hopefully
the elcor Hamlet story doesn't end with ME2, in the citadel DLC for ME3 you can actually meet Francis Kitt and the Elcor that plays Hamlet, it's in the Silversun Strip
I think there's also banter about it from Npcs you pass. Something about different versions?
I played Citadel DLC recently and I thought they were talking about Macbeth as the next play. Anyway loved this running storyline, as well as the Blasto movies.

I was hoping someone else caught that one...
16:59 Kaidan and James use it to play poker. You can encounter them playing sometime after Kaidan joins the crew, I think it’s somewhere in the middle of the Rannoch storyline
I was about to come on and say this too.
Kaiden isn't exactly good at poker, compared to Vega.
Just occurred to me that Kaidan’s poker face probably isn’t that much better than Joker’s lol

The batarian 'questional parentage' thing is just a clever way of saying he called all humans bastards.
Did you know that in the destruction ending you can see edi’s name on the memorial wall confirming you killed edi
With the power of mods, I forsake your comment
"put more of the stuff in the thing where stuff goes in" might be the best line in the series.
Woke up, took a shower, immediately hopped on Mass Effect 3 then this video drops. What a perfect start to a Sunday morning.
Yes

One of my all-time favorite secrets is the Krogan football player who just absolutely dominates
In ME1, there is a planet in the Horse Head Nebula in the Fortuna System that has the same name as a town from Dragon Age Awakening.
Love this series. Oddly enough I binged the earlier videos just last night.
Dude, play Dragon Age! I'm replaying them all now and they're better than anything available these days, honestly. No one did it like old school Bioware. 🙌🏼

Salarian shopkeeper also mentions that Solitaire is a very interesting human game))

Shepard for real went "Cerberus gave me a new cybernetic liver and I'm gonna abuse it"
I had absolutely no idea the last two parts of the pirate radio station! You should have let the music play for a bit!
Honestly, things like the elcor Hamlet are what make the playthrough of all three games Feel like you're playing through a single game. It ties everything together like you're in a real universe

In all likelihood, the 'questionable parentage' line was the Batarians saying all humans are bastards. Hehe
I found the previous ME secrets vids and now I'm replaying the whole trilogy again haha.
Thank you muchly. Really enjoying this here series. Keep it coming!

15:24 I'm pretty sure Mass Effect Corsair was the name of a cancelled Mass Effect game for the Nintendo DS
" . . . alludes to the questionable PARENTage of all humans." (All humans are bastards?)
Thaaat explains why I was always Called that I’m school😂
Who knows maybe the Statue of Liberty head is a reference to Deus Ex 🙇🏻♂️
Maybe you would do a great jamming session with Big Dan Gaming, he did quite decent ME facts too
alongside the getting drunk in Me2, you can do similar in Me3. you get drunk as hell and wind up passed out on Aria's couch.
While watching your video I found another secret/easter egg: one of the video games the salarian salesman talks about is called "Grim Terminus Alliance" in which you can capture and beat slaves. Sounds a bit like GTA, doesn't it?

what a great way to start the morning. I absolutely love this series.
1:38 Another one is a planet called Ameranthine is also a city/town in DA Awakening.
#7 is funnier if you are female Shepard. The way she says "do it" is hilarious. And waking up in the bathroom with a Turian using the urinal is funny.

11:38 wow, he didn't even used a -straw- emergency induction port to drink with the helmet on
Yes. Yes it is that time already 😁
You can hear Francis kitt planning his next play on the strip in the citadel dlc too
One of the Hamlet ads has what's possibly the only visual appearance of a female Elcor too
UA-cam recommended this series, and episode 4 just came out! Whaaaaa!

Dragon age inquisition has a miunted krogan head as well, in the Vault of the winter palace.
Even in the fad future, the rum is always gone
I absolutely love this series
Epic video, i thought i new EVERYTHING about mass effect (played it 8 times and watched 3 playthroughs), but it seems i didnt :D
I found most, if not all of these. But I didn't know the texts alluded to other things like Star Trek, other than the obvious ones at least. And I always just thought Presop was a busted moon thing, not that a reaper actually had a hand in it.
Questionable PARENTAGE not percentage.
i really hope bio reveal something at the game awards regarding mass effect along with dragon age dread wolf

Wrong about the Poker Table. Kaidan and James use it, you'll find them playing a game of it, I just don't remember exactly when.
Damn, i have never done 7. Now i know what i'll be doing next.
My Shepard became such an alcoholic in ME2
The only time the poker table gets used is if kaidon is alive and recruited. Kaidon and James will be playing after one of the missions.
Good timing, just caught up.
If you find Klendagon in Mass Effect 3 the rift is surprisingly absent.
Much appreciated.
Try a dragon age one if you feel comfortable with it, love these mass effect ones, I'm new so if you have some already then I apologize 🤣
Questionable parentage of all humans not percentage. The batarian calls humans bastards I think?
I understood it like, Captain Zaysh fucked all of our moms
Yup. Basically says "all humans are bastards"
14:34 Sounds to me a lot like Rimworld. If that prisoner cant work then the least they can do is let me harvest their organs. Im giving them food and shelter, the rent is a kidney.

You don't need to close the shutters for Joker to talk. Just stand behind or next to him.
They shoulda added the fillm elcor hamlet to watch
Dude how did u not notice the reference to the game that incites violence on kids, the game is called. Grim Terminus Alliance, aka GTA.
“It’s green” is also a Star Trek reference. Scotty says it when someone asks him what a particular liquor is.
Try Dragon Quest 8 best game in the series.
Dragon age ogre is Gavin
Why would the bartender even offer ryncal when it's supposedly deadly to humans

So because I missed some of these secrets what? I’m not intelligent or something?
