Fun fact: some of the mashup packs are still being updated to this day and are on the marketplace, ie the fallout mashup pack, which has textures for the sculk sensor
20:38 this is because the iron golem was actually the minotaur in the original map but java doesn't support custom entity models so it just shows up as an iron golem instead of a minotaur like on legacy/bedrock. If I had to guess, the people who ported the textures probably did port the models but you can only see them via optifine/mods.
It is a crying shame that you didn't get to experience the egyptian mash up pack! That shit is straight gas, so many cool builds that work great withthe texture pack. An entire temple built to look like the floor is a mirror, but it's actually an exact replica underneath it! All the pyramids and sphinx designs. And the best part of all, the fact they _actually did something with the nether!_ They turned it into a long, eerie boat ride to the underworld, with shit like Anubis and his scale, and giant snake peering down at youand- uuuuugh it was fucking good! I know you couldn't experience it so you couldn't possibly had known any of this, but seeing it in D tier is a fucking crime!

Another interesting real world site in the map is the Potala Palace which was the old winter palace of the Dalai Lama from 1649-1959

Hey, I remember playing on the Greek Mythology mashup pack on the original consoles! It might have been XBOX 360, but I'm not sure. The Iron Golem in the center is absolutely a bug, I distinctly remember that the mashup on console replaced him with an actual Minotaur. Still, really love this video. Talk about a blast from the past!
The egyptian mashup pack is objectively the best mashup pack. So many custom models that looked awesome. And the nether theh made into Duat, the egyptian underworld. They even put in 12 gates for the 12 gates you needed to get through to be in heaven. The boat, the feather and the heart on the scale, anubis, and osiris eventually at the end of the river was great. So much detail, care, and effort was put into these
Aaa I love the little big planet games, and yeah they had like a full main story where in those stories you got items for costumes and mechanics to complete puzzles or customize your hub, when you beat the main story or before you also had player created stages that you could make or play and it was fantastic and people would even make full blown animation and movies with those stages which was fantastic.

The fact that I could tell you the order every single pack came out in except for Halo and the Mario one really shows I've played console on PS4 for a long time. And I know so many of these worlds super well. They're quite nostalgic to me. Especially because I kept burning everything down and blowing everything else up to find the music discs. Which I've still never found them all. Mass effect mashup was always weird to me, because it came right after the Greek mythology pack, which had the entire world transformed, but mass effect always felt unfinished, with only a small area actually being transformed. I mean the background area on the loading screen I've never found, and it never had the music disc hunt that the other packs had. Even Skyrim, which was the first mashup pack as far as I'm aware, had a music disc hunt, and the only one I've completed. (for context, Mass effect was the fourth mashup pack to be released.) I'm pretty sure that after mass effect they started using world edit, something which I never figured out until the Egyption mythology pack came out and had water in the nether. A lot of water. It really bugged me, because you can't use any sort of world edit on console, everything has to be done manually, and it made the mashup packs feel like they were cheating. I still love the worlds, don't get me wrong, just a personal gripe. Also seeing the paintings not be their texture pack versions hurt a lot. And in my opinion, the music that came with these packs elevated them so much more, especially the Chinese mythology pack. That soundtrack is awesome! And if you ever want to know what order these things came out in, just ask.

It was lbp2 and then when I got bored I hopped on Minecraft, so obviously I'm bias when I say lbp is the best mashup pack. The pod was really well made and I love the recreation of nana pud's home
I recommend steven universe. The show was cancelled so the ending leaves a lot to be desired as people will tell you, but the show itself is very cozy and nice for what it is and has a lot of interesting characters imo.
If they did a mass effect world today it would've been something like the Citadel or something more famous then Mars which was the opening level of mass effect 3, the reason why the rocket is hollow because you don't go inside.
The major part I remember of the little big planet world was the earsplitting theme music that always played. (I love little big planet but man that theme is grating sometimes)
So, I noticed something while watching your footage, a lot of the packs Mob skins and paintings didn't load, and I feel as if those two elements were really important to the mash up packs. The builders frequently used the paintings to make buildings more detailed and to just make them look better. For example, at the gas station in the Fallout pack the two paintings out front should've been vending machines, but they were normal Minecraft paintings instead. The other big one I noticed was on the festive map, the big building with the skeleton paintings outside I think was supposed to have window paintings there instead, but I could be wrong. All I know is that they weren't skeletons.
The Skyrim pack was the last legacy pack I played on my Wii U/Switch version and man it was a hell of a letdown after the perfection of the Adventure Time, Halloween, and Fallout packs

ALONG ALL THE OTHER MYTHOLOGYS
GOD!
Void, go to sleep. Please. I remeber the adventure time one so well as well as the Christmas one. I would play it with my friend.
The mass effect one is the patient zero for the Normandy showing up in no man’s sky
Little big planet was the only mashup pack I ever played because lbp 2 was the game I constantly played on my ps3. It was lbp2 and then when I got bored I hopped on Minecraft, so obviously I'm bias when I say lbp is the best mashup pack. The pod was really well made and I love the recreation of nana pud's home
Just get rid of E and F at this point
I recommend steven universe. The show was cancelled so the ending leaves a lot to be desired as people will tell you, but the show itself is very cozy and nice for what it is and has a lot of interesting characters imo.
He literally said that he tried watching it, and wasn't interested.
I love this video thank you man
If they did a mass effect world today it would've been something like the Citadel or something more famous then Mars which was the opening level of mass effect 3, the reason why the rocket is hollow because you don't go inside.
I remember waiting in the lobby for someone with a mash-up map to host.
I like the Cult Of The Lamb music in the background
Oops i didnt know you did this video, i commented saying you missed the christmas texture pack thanks for the video!
Wasn’t there like a cheese room in Finn and Jake’s tree house
I’m pretty sure it was supposed to be piles of gold and treasure. I thought it was cheese at first too 😅
He didnt say a thing about mount olympus in the greek mashup. Or even the colossus....
I love that the fallout mashup its literally locations of fallout 1, 2, 3 and 4 (AND NO NEW VEGAS?????)
FNV is the best but it doesn’t have great locations compared to 1,2,3, and 4
@@Model3140digitalalarmclock makes sense
Omg Cult of the lamb bgm- Im crying-
Shit this hits me in the heart theyre all so good
the mass effect pack sent a shockwave of nostalgia at me and i dont think im gonna recover
i grew up on these packs and how did i not know about the steven universe one
The major part I remember of the little big planet world was the earsplitting theme music that always played. (I love little big planet but man that theme is grating sometimes)
The Mario Mashup Pack is the best one!
Please keep doing these tier lists man,I would love to see more Minecraft tier lists
bro i love Caribbean pack the adventure time pack and the steven universe one bro i loved those
For the mass effect pack, that’s a base on mars seen in the 2nd mission in mass effect 3.
Btw using the fallout mashup pack with insanity shader makes an insanely moody experience that I love so, y’know, there’s a port for 1.13 and 1.12
The nostalgia trip holy
Extremely relatable
After you don't play a game for really long time come back to it and it's awesome trust me
