For me new minecraft has lost its charm and Im not looking foward for new updates, Old minecraft just had something about it and mods were just part of its Identity I would say. New mods are nice but a lot of them feel a bit lack luster in places but thats a low price to pay when it comes to small mods but I really miss some old mods that just made game more interesting and gave a new gole to the game because how many times can I just do the same thing in Minecraft. Many would be the anwser but I think I had more fun playing 1.7.10 or 1.12 with mods then Modern Updates with mods.

honestly a good thing is that some of the more popular older mods are still updated but yeah im kind of in my 1.12.2 supremacy phase rn. Minecraft in general has changed, and so has the community, they were going for that feel on their own so the mods followed.

anything in 1.12.2 isnt abandoned to me imo. it's sadly getting closer, especially if the mod hasnt been mantained in that version for a while, but 1.12.2 is still going strong
