I have said it before, I love you keep all flaws in the videos. It keeps us all in reality check, which is a safe zone for folks like me who have their share of whoopsies. Also, you are right. The newbies are all too often taken for granted and shouldn't be overlooked. Thank you for keeping all new artists in mind. You are too genuine.
Thanks so much for the silhouette tutorial. I have a silhouette and didn’t know how to join the letters like that. I find most tumbler makers have the cricut and show those tutorials. I love your videos. Thanks for sharing your knowledge.
Soo Cute!!! I wish I was able to do something like this. I'm still a NEWBIE, I don't know all the lingo/technics yet so thank you for being so detailed. Newcomers like me appreciate it.
I put shelf liner on the to skewer sticks and A little bit of painters tape or electrical tape it was able to keep the epoxy from sticking onto the stick or the pencil.
Maleficent is one of my favorite glitters! IT is beautiful. I have nt see this idea until I saw you do it. I LoVE this! Thanks sweetness for the video! XOXO
Thank you for sharing your process. I am already planning Christmas gifts for my girlfriends... Hell, for all my friends and family. Such a great gift!
oh my... i just had a though on selling these to my co workers. they love love love pens.. and they love stealing each others. so it think this is great... thank you for sharing
Great video Jess. I do have a question...do these really need to go on a turner? I know you can do cups using the hang method and I was wondering if it would work with the pens.
Your options are wide open, go for it!! 🥰 I almost used a new printed vinyl but stick with white to pop. I’d love to hear back if you try something outside the box!
Wow they came out amazing. I’m starting to do the epoxy pens but people has been asking me for the refill ink. Do you know where to get them from that specific brand?
Yes! Amazon has them from Pent and they write the same. You can search 5.5” refill and you’ll get a few options. You’ll need to keep the spring from the original.
Nice tutorial. Questions. Where can I purchase names pre-printed on a page so I can attach to pens.? And, what exact brand of epoxy do you use. Are classes available in So. California?
Love the video . Thank you for doing it . One question I don’t have a machine to make stickers so can I buy stickers to use and if yes what size should I use . Also I don’t have a lite so do I just let it sit for awhile .Thank you for your time
You can definitely use store bought stickers and vinyl! My fonts are about 1/2” high and I think max length is 5.5”. Actual circumference is about an inch but I’ve never actually measured it.
First off, those turned out great! Second, my wife absolutely loves your nail color! She wanted me to ask, if you don’t mind, what brand and color is that?
I love this! I'm always looking for new ways to use resin. I dont do tumblers so I dont have a spinner but is a spinner required to make these pens? Can I make them without them?
Disclaimer I am just getting started with cricut. What material did you use to cut your name into? Sorry if that seems like a dumb question. I am just trying to get familiar with the transfer tape and other material.
? Do you think the hang method would work for pens also? New to all of this Epoxy but I have been looking for a way to refill pens since I bought some molds & Epoxy.
I use several kinds nowadays. I love KS resin liquidy split and Mr NOLAS speed dry if I’m trying to get a lot done. I use KS Liquid art for more working time. And EnvirotexLite for most of my keychains.
What happens when the ink runs out? Do they sell refills or are you just buying another regular one to change it out? (The pens aren't cheap so just wondering about the investment after.)
I don’t believe there are any refills available for this design. So the refill would cost the same as a new pen, but without the work of making a new epoxied one.
First I love your videos!! I know you out the link to the epoxy resin you use but I’m not sure which line you use! I wanna try this brand!! Thank you for your time.
i just tried this an i had 4 pens an only could save 2 the epoxy gets inside an sticks the pencil inside an will not budge is there anything u can put on the end so this wont happen again?
Oh no!! I have seen others post that they pushed it off with a dowel through the other side. I haven’t had it happen yet so can’t speak from experience. 😩
There no specific brand you need, just whatever your favorite is. I use KSRESIN liquidy split for almost everything. This is a Globeus brand off amazon but there are lots to choose from. 😊
@thepurplestitch do we need a turner, is it crucial to make these pens? I've never msde tumblers and right now have no interest but I found your video when looking into these pens. Thanks
Would you mind helping me with a Sil Studio question? I really like that you have it set up to fill your font in white. When I change my setting to fill instead of outline, it defaults to an ugly blue no matter what I do. Where is the setting to change the default for the font color? Thanks for your help and for a great tutorial.

Love the video thank you. What I love even more is the knob you put on your UV light. BRILLANT IDEA!!! thank you. ♥
How cute!!! I’m a planner girl and looove pretty pens. This is def on my to do list
Thank you explaining every step of the way I appreciate it!
Instead of sticking the pencil inside the pvc pipe, tape the pencil to the pvc. That way you don’t worry about leveling issues because of the sag 😊
How do you tape it? 🤗
@@Franseeeen I just use electrical tape and tape about an inch to the side of the pvc pipe.
I put shelf liner on the to skewer sticks and A little bit of painters tape or electrical tape it was able to keep the epoxy from sticking onto the stick or the pencil.
Thank you for the tutorial. I'm just starting to make glitter pens, too. I love your pen.
I'm going to try it. I'm new to resin but I thought pens would be a good project. Thank you for the step by step and sharing mistakes.
omg I had no idea you could do that in Silhouette!!! You just saved my sanity 😂. Gorgeous pens. Thank you for sharing.
Adding to my list of things to try. Your videos are so helpful.
Thank you so much for your video😊 This was very helpful. Extremely informative. Your pens were very beautiful ❤️
Thank you Jess, I appreciate you showing all of the steps. Love your work. 😍😍😍
Thank you for explaining how to do the letters, I learned something new from you today. I can’t wait to try the new things I have learned from here.
Maleficent is one of my favorite glitters! IT is beautiful. I have nt see this idea until I saw you do it. I LoVE this! Thanks sweetness for the video! XOXO
I use those pens, they write amazing and last forever! Thanks for another great tutorial! I just subbed!
Great job. I appreciate you explaining each steps and the terms you used.
WOW!!!
Absolutely Excellent Video!!!
Great Teacher... Beautiful work.
Thank you for the great, quick tutorial! I have been doing cups for a long time and never thought of doin these until just now!
I'm new to this so I'm happy you do for everyone. Also I kinda like the name being on the bottom of the pen!
Doohickey is a highly technical term!
This is a great idea, thank you!
🤣🤣
Simply beautiful. I'm thinking I have to try this one! Thank you for sharing.
Thank you for sharing your process. I am already planning Christmas gifts for my girlfriends... Hell, for all my friends and family. Such a great gift!
Yes! I’m going to make one for my coworkers when I get caught up on all of my orders!
I appreciate the step by step. Thank you!
Thank you for showing how to put the vinyl part since yes everyone skips it love it
You literally just solve a problem I’ve had for like 10 years! Thanks!
Really!? Yay!!
Very unique process. I just subscribed to your channel! I am definitely making this pens❤️
I would love to have one of these pens. I love them both. Great job
Love that purple/blue glitter!!
Me too! Masquerade is one of my favorite chunky mixes, I looove this fine version!
Love your videos and your voice is so calming! My pens came today and I can’t wait to try them!
🥰🥰 you’re too sweet!! They are definitely a hit & I hope you enjoy making them!!! 🥰🥰
Another wonderful project to go on "my list" lol
Yours are so perfect 🥺. I’m still trying to get my epoxy to be even and the ends to look like that! Ive been through so many pens 😒
Awesome! Love the glitters you used
You can also make your own weeding pens with a sewing needle and a mechanical/led pencil.
That’s a great idea!!
@@ThePurpleStitch :)
@@ThePurpleStitch Also how do you keep the epoxy from getting inside the pen i made a few and the clicky part gets stuck..
I try to be extra cautious about getting epoxy over the edges.
thanks for showing the Cricut stuff I have been wanting one but it seems like so much information - I just haven't done it yet.
Thanks for your up close pics of the process
Love the knob on the UV lamp🤩
🤣 I was tired of having to hold it so awkwardly!
CUUUUUUTTTTTTEEEEE intro to this video!
Nice video thank you for sharing your talent 😊
Thank you again, Jess. I enjoy your videos.
Wow that's so cool..
I need found me hobby..
Keep up the good work.

Those pens are designed to pop air bubbles in large vinyl projects but are exceptionally nice for tiny details!
What are you referring to? I watched the video twice...🤔🤔💟💟💟
Those are adorable, love it, thanks for sharing
Super fun! Thanks for the video..it was a great tutorial
I'm going to try this! It's beautiful.
Thank you! This is amazing! I can't wait to try this :)
Now I need to try this
Those are super cute!!
thank you so much for this tutorial!!!! love your videos!
Awesome video! Thanks for sharing! 😊
oh my... i just had a though on selling these to my co workers. they love love love pens.. and they love stealing each others. so it think this is great... thank you for sharing
Yes!! I know mine are gonna be jelly! 😆😆
I need to do this ... to make money for school for kids..
How much could you sell these for? I have no idea how much these are worth.
I feel like I need to revamp some of my Inkjoy pens that I have. 😍
Do it!! 😆
Great video Jess. I do have a question...do these really need to go on a turner? I know you can do cups using the hang method and I was wondering if it would work with the pens.
I’d put money that you could totally hang method but might need a couple extra layers to get the smooth.
What a cool idea!
Thank you for doing this 💜 this is my next goal
Love this.. thank you just curious why did you spray with clear?
I like a clear coat to help prevent the vinyl lifting, plus helps prevent any oils from where I touched from repelling epoxy.
Wow! So my thought about the name would be... what about a white waterside?
Your options are wide open, go for it!! 🥰 I almost used a new printed vinyl but stick with white to pop. I’d love to hear back if you try something outside the box!
I loved your video!!!! Thank you! I learned a lot!
Do you have to use the paper mate pen? What about a Bic that you don’t have to cut the clip off. Just wondering. Thank you for the video.
I imagine you could use most styles, some might be trickier than others. 😊
After your first epoxy and glitter applied, how long do you let it sit before applying the 2nd coat of epoxy?
Thank you for your tutorial! What type of spray paint would you recommend please?
I like Rustoleum 2x. But some prefer Krylon.
Nice tutorial. Questions. Where can I purchase names pre-printed on a page so I can attach to pens.? And, what exact brand of epoxy do you use. Are classes available in So. California?

@@ThePurpleStitch thank you for letting me know . As for the light since I don’t have one is just letting it sit for hours ok
For the turner is it a different turner or another attachment? Also is there a way to make these more boyish.
First off, those turned out great! Second, my wife absolutely loves your nail color! She wanted me to ask, if you don’t mind, what brand and color is that?
Thanks!! It’s one from the nail salon but I think Tefiti is suuuuper close. I can double check tomorrow!
Hi! This is amazing looks awesome! Thanks for this great video. What size did you have to do the name? Thanks in advance 😊
I did about a half inch.
How did you get the pencil out of the pen so easily? Both times I tried the pencil broke because it was stuck on with epoxy drips
So far I haven’t had it happen. I’m suuuuuper cautious around the edges.
What type of pens are you using to make these amazing pens out of?
Ink joy gel pens 🙂
I love this! I'm always looking for new ways to use resin. I dont do tumblers so I dont have a spinner but is a spinner required to make these pens? Can I make them without them?
I’m sure they could be done with the hang method!
Not sure why you add the turner. Doesn’t seem necessary. Is it?
@@peaznat not for super thin layers. But definitely if you’re doing any amount that gravity won’t like. If epoxy is too thick, it will drip off.
Disclaimer I am just getting started with cricut. What material did you use to cut your name into? Sorry if that seems like a dumb question. I am just trying to get familiar with the transfer tape and other material.
Just Orcal 651 glossy from Michaels. 😊
? Do you think the hang method would work for pens also? New to all of this Epoxy but I have been looking for a way to refill pens since I bought some molds & Epoxy.
It should be fine, just a little more time consuming. 😊
Beautiful. I just started making pens. Do you mind sharing what brand of epoxy are you using. TIA

Just take the intrills from another plain pen... switch it out!
Foam for Epoxy Pens, You can buy it on Amazon
Can you paint on acrylic paint instead of spray painting a base coat?
I saw a girl on TT that made these glitter pens and i was wondering if you could do a big circle of them?
I have an attachment that holds 21! I love this thing and it lets me crank them out faster. 😁
First I love your videos!! I know you out the link to the epoxy resin you use but I’m not sure which line you use! I wanna try this brand!! Thank you for your time.

Any tips on how to get the pen off of the pencil? I apparently epoxied it to the pencil 🤦🏼♀️
Oh no!! I have seen others post that they pushed it off with a dowel through the other side. I haven’t had it happen yet so can’t speak from experience. 😩
So the ‘comfort grip’ part didn’t give you any troubles?
Doesn’t seem to. It spray paints well and didn’t seem to repel epoxy when bare.
Love this idea! Thank you for showing!! This may not be something you would answer but what do you charge for one?
I saw people post that they sell theirs for $10-12.... that’s going to vary based on your area. I can’t imagine getting more than $8 where I am.

Each to their own, but for me art isn't about perfection!
Yep! I’m pretty sure I say the phrase: “it isn’t perfect, but that’s ok” in just about every video...🤣
I’m new to resin and don’t have a Turner. Is there a particular kind I should look for?
Take care and stay safe!
I have several different ones. My absolute favorite is the one I built. It’s all personal preference as far as speed and interchange-ability.
could you achieve this with out using a tumbler turner?
What is your favorite black black? One that doesn’t throw any color.
Skellington, but I have to add white wedding or it looks like tar. 🤣
Thanks! I will try that one! Out of the 10 black glitters I’ve purchased I always get ones that throw color, and most throw green! 😩
What quick cast resin are you using?
Mesmerising!
@thepurplestitch do we need a turner, is it crucial to make these pens? I've never msde tumblers and right now have no interest but I found your video when looking into these pens. Thanks
Lots of folks use epoxy without a turner. The key is typically thin layers and rotating by hand when needed.
@@ThePurpleStitch thank you for your reply
Thank you for sharing another awesome tutorial!😊
Do you only use the fine glitter on these, I’ve used the chunky but its hard to sand them down smooth.
The trick for the chunky is to apply twice as much epoxy when you’re glittering. It allows it to settle better. 😊
Wow amazing! How much would you charge for one of these pens? With name vinyl.?
They are $8 each plus $4 shipping. You can message me at facebook.com/thepurplestitch if you’d like. 😊
Would you mind helping me with a Sil Studio question? I really like that you have it set up to fill your font in white.
