- This is a video over 2 days fishing bluefin tuna foamers on the beach where we'd normally catch rockfish. We were fishing the Shimano 170F Jerkbait and the Yozuri 170F Hydro Minnows.

Alright guys! First off i thought i edited out all the Cuss words but clearly missed some.
This one was from a few weeks ago. We caught ALL fish on the Shimano 170F jerkbait and the Yozuri 170F hydro minnow. The rod i was using is a 90Wahoo from United Compisites. Josh was using the same rod but with 6” cut off the tip to make it 8’6 and a bit stiffer.
extremely underrated channel, this tuna content is insane man
I was lol at the 6:31 mark, were there's a missed gaff opportunity and there's a pause for a reaction from Bryan, while he calmly continues the fight to land the Bluefin, lol. Tight Lines!
So epic, makes me want to quit my job and blow my savings just so I can live like this
Bloody decks, you guys are killing it👍🏽
It's so insane right now! Great footage guys!
awesome Vid top editing, clean, pure fishing, keep it up !
Sick video man! Love the shots! The info! And content! Got my blood pumping….
Slaying like always 💯
Good shit bro! Crazy how you’ve been constantly on em so close to home
Great video boys way to get them.
How do you not have more subs?!!! Your content is 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥

Me and my friends are taking the Condor charter boat out to Mexico in our next trip, hope we get as lucky too
Love your show. Yeeewwww
Damn guys congratulations I hope to get my first one this year
Such a rad few weeks haha

awesome
Awesome video guys just subscribed my name is Nick I live in San Diego and I have a 17ft Boston Whaler Montauk wanted to know if I can come out with you guys and get on some fish would be really cool to go out with someone that is experienced and knows what to look for out there thanks
You guys rule..
8:53 what rod and reeel combo? Look sick
¿What rod are you using with the tranx 500?
What rod combo is with the shimano tranx ?
where do you launch out of???
Are you using a bite leader?
Bryan I swear I'll buy you a beer or stick bait for all the questions I ask if I ever run into you haha, Thanks, your videos really got me way more interested in offshore and pelagics then I thought
I just got a Fathom 30LD 2 speed so that I can also hang a smaller tuna no problem, I was thinking of using it on either a 60lbs or 80lbs rod to also yoyo yellowtails at the islands with this setup and be my main charter setup. Which rod would you pair it with?
I like my okuma pch 80XH … cant beat it for the price
@@BryanTimm was looking at those and really like okuma rods! really hope to stick one this year dude thanks again
what reel is that bait caster looking deal on the second fish.. Sick catch on a baitcast!
Tranx 500 by shimano
I don’t always watch UA-cam videos the whole way through. But when I do, it’s usually a Bryan Timm video. Stay salty my friends.
SLAY🤟🤟🤟🤟✌️✌️
I'm towing my boat to San Diego!
What reels are those ?
I got minE on MonDAY on the East end of Catalina
How do I get one of those calls???
What camera do you use for your vids the quality looks great 👍
This was all filmed completely on a gopro lol. I think i have the 8. Protune settings are a must.
Witch one what’s your settings my vids come out like ishhh lol
@@catchingmoefish it’s hard to walk through over text but if you search on youtube “best protune settings gopro” there’s a ton of quick walkthroughs. It’s a game changer for gopro stuff, out of the box they kinda suck.
@@BryanTimm awesome man thank you keep killing it I appreciate the tip your work is gold !
Special times we live in.
100% ... take advantage!
Tim, what rod are you hooked up to torium 20 ?
Torium 16, but its a United Composites 90 wahoo
10:35 -- That medium action rod looks like it's going to snap at any second 😂
Not sure where you're fishing at since it's not in the description but good luck! Nice vid
Oh that rod is actually rated like 30-60 i think. Maybe even heavier. Its a calstar. We are fishing out of San Diego! Thanks for watchin!
Not medium action it’s just a glass jigstick
and one last question if ya got the time.. can you put single hooks on those Shimano lures and still have em swim well?
Josh was using singles, so yes. I’m still trying to figure out what i prefer more. I know 100% i fish trebles for Yellowtail, but for bluefin ive been bouncing back and forth between singles and trebles. You get tight to more fish with trebles but they have the possibility of falling off... but with the singles, you know that if its stuck on longer than 5 seconds it should stay on the whole time.
@@BryanTimm feel that..ive been using the daiwa jerk baits.. think they could work. they work for seabass off the beach..but they don't swim well when I put singles. just ordered the one u got tho so I can put singles on. anyways thanks for the answered questions.🔥🤙🏼
sick vid.. just subscribed.. what knot do you do for the leader ?? and how long ?
3-5’ ... braid to flouro either uni/uni or the fg knot.
@@BryanTimm thanks.. you think the Albright knot is to sketch? That's what I use.. probably gunna learn the fg
@@thedarwinsnatchers6745 i’d definitely learn the FG knot it’s really simple to tie actually it just takes a little time to get the wraps right but i’ve gotten pretty quick and i can probably tie it in under a minute now. it’s good for backing because it fits through the guides and it’s very strong, i use it on 100lb braid to 80lb mono and the mono breaks before the knot slips every time as long as you do your wraps right. land shark fishing does a good job of showing how to tie it. definitely worth knowing even if you don’t use it all the time.
@@thedarwinsnatchers6745 Modified albright is fast and among the strongest. FG fails if not done perfect. Also called the alberto knot, is the one to learn IMO
@@nashbarber4085 alright sounds good.. ill look into it.. any good vids you would recommend to learn
Are you launching out of Oceanside? I’ve never used that launch before but now that I live north of Temecula I might have to check it out as it’s closer to home.
del mar
What rod is your buddy using at minute 2:13?
A united composites wahoo that is cut down from 9’ to 8’6
Lmfao , your boy getting corn’d was great. Glad he got that 1 🤌🏽.
"NoiCE"..... 🤟🤟🤟🤟🤟🤟💪💪💪💪💪💪💪💪
Noice noice
Looks like you use a torium 16? How confident do you feel throwing it at diverse foamers. I would probably match it with a stout 9 foot jig stick and fill it to the top with silk ocean pe4 braid. Would this setup be well adapted for slightly hiegher grades in a pinch say 80-120?
If the rod is stout you should be ok. It’s definitely not ideal but definitely doable for sure.
@@BryanTimm ye I would probably match it with a Phenix axis 909hj. Has a really good backbone. Have you ever experienced slippage on ur torium.
@@claper2225 I had a few toriums and they worked great but when a big fish was up and down I swear the drags would keep backing off and I’d have to re adjust or hold the spool.
@@BryanTimm do you know of any way to optimize drag such as installing washers or just getting a better reel? For the most part I’m gonna be fishing normal grade 30-80 so should be fine. Any big grade I’ll just have to deal with it. Thanks man love ur vids, honestly you should have 5 times the subs you currently have!
@@claper2225 you’ll be totally fine on that grade of fish. If anything, and if you’re comfortable with casting a 2 speed and your budget allows, you can always get another setup and cast an 8’ XH rod with a 2 speed like a penn fathom 25N or something similar and be comfortable fighting anything over 80lbs.
reign in blood fish
What size leader are you using?
I was using 50lb. Josh has like a crimped 130lb i think?
What state ? I have it as a goal to surfcast one of these footballs from shore.
No chance you'll ever catch one of these from shore bruh
@@gavin_t You ever see those English guys that fish 200 pound Yellowfin from shore ? So technically it can be done. Chances are pretty small around here that's true but there have been a few right in the surf zone at Salisbury Beach in the last month and some mediums just off the jetty. Just a question of getting a big spoon or popper on their nose and not having them spool you.
O my bad didn't read the description I was so jased
Fuck I wanna get a skiff tuna!!!
Can i go with you guys?
Hello, we have some fishing jigs and we want to cooperate with you. How can we contact you?
It’s rare fir them to hit the surface iron, stickbait is go to
They eat surface iron a lot actually
@@BryanTimm - I never had one take a surface iron throwing it into middle of many huge boils. Throw a jerkbait and bam!
@@ultimatejay They sure do like the jerk baits. I have caught plenty on surface iron when they weren't eating the jerk bait though.
1st
Whoa
Don't dig....scarry
Yea sketchy for sure. I need a longer gaff too, that one ive always had is only like 4’ so you really gotta reach for em on the outside circles,
The best you guys are bad
What y'all do with that fish you eat them you'll sell them give them away
Eat em! Sushi parties with friends, give some to friends/family and smoke it for daily snacks!
