My kids have LOVED Science Shepherd and they do it independently even the 3rd grader and I can’t believe what they have learned. It’s also become everyone s favorite subject this year. Thank you so much for the recommendation!!! Love this series. Thank you and God bless!!!

I really appreciate this. There aren’t many middle school videos out there! I have a 10/11 year old boy and I’m shopping something different for next year for his Science.

Thank you for sharing your wisdom with families like mine, who are just getting our feet wet in homeschooling 😊🙏

I am loving this series! I have an upcoming 7th grader. We are planning to do mystery of history book 2 next year - I agree, I enjoy her writing style and I want to study both world and church history.
For my middle schooler, we have been enjoying Spelling Workout (great vocabulary too) and Writing and Rhetoric.
And those Tiner books are awesome! We read The History of medicine this year as we are studying anatomy, and I was blown away how good it was!

We also used the Bob Schultz books on the same timeline. He has another called Practical Happiness for HS age. We use MOH, as well. 7th grader is in book 3 now.

    Thank you. Great video.
What was the name if the hands on science program you mentioned? You first talked about Science Shepherd, then masterbooks….I didn’t catch the 3rd one?
    Thank you.

Good Afternoon, I’d love to get some advice…. I like heart of Dakota and would just want to use it for history but it is so expensive. I am a single work from home mom of 1, 7th grade boy and can’t afford a lot. I also don’t want to get overwhelmed with all the things Heart of Dakota has. Do you get the read aloud package too? I’m afraid it will be way too much reading for my son that is not one that loves to read.
I love all these great book choices and would love to to read them all but I don’t know how to make it happen economically and in a balanced manner.

Hi Jennifer, I have purchased a majority used. They do have a couple buy/sell groups on FB. You could definitely just do the history. Our first couple of years, I went through the list and check to see which books they library had. You may check to see which they have on audio😉. I really think the story time books enhance the history. Maybe you could just do the ones you can find in audio form. I was looking at Audible and found about 4 from Revival to Reformation.
I have purchase books from thrift books too😉. I would encourage home by telling him it is a 4 day program and what is not done can be finished on the 5th, but if he has it done in 4 (you fill in the blank🤗)❤️🙏

Thank you so much for those great ideas!! I never thought about using audible for the read aloud books! I love your videos and appreciate the boy mom encouragement with experience from a Christian perspective!! You are a genuine person with average boys. It’s refreshing to have you as a resource! Thank you again!
