This will be our first year. 9th grade and 3rd grade and 2 twin toddlers running around😊I will be working on our future plans for HS very soon. Such a great idea!! My new favorite 😃 homeschool video - thank you! Yes, I always combine History with Geography since they are studying what happened, then it only makes sense that they learn where that particular history took place. In addition, where the history topic took place would be to have at least a basic understanding of what is around that area of study.

I am new to homeschool I am currently trying to get homeschool started for my 11th grader.
I am trying to put together an educational plan so I can send it with the NOI form. We are First Nations (Native American) so I am trying to get a Native educational plan. But in need of help and guidance to this.

Hello, thank you for this very useful video. Basically homeschooling is no longer legal in France except in limited circumstances and it is still difficult to do.

Love this! I need to take a look at our plan we made when she was entering 9th; now she's entering 11th and I need to get her into dual enrollment asap. By the way, your house looks great - we're about to start renovating and I'm a bit overwhelmed with school starting back up.
Remodeling is distracting but getting yourself planned out before you start will help school go smoother and you’ll be fine. Good luck with school and your house! 😊🌼

For LA I use IEW but I also use a bunch of other things too. I am making more videos to share some of my favorite high school curriculums. Those videos are coming. Thanks for watching!

@@kadieschaefer2874 I don’t have a definite exact age I start IEW as it is determined by where my kids are at. But in general I usually start IEW writing in the middle school years. I have not done IEW grammar. 😊
Hello! I saw that another mom asked about curriculum, I checked to see if you have specific videos but couldn't find any...I am attempting to plan for 10th grade for my son. Could you give me a list of your curriculum favorites so I can look into them? I m pretty familiar with curriculum for grade school but I m sure others are better for older kiddos.
I do have a language arts video where I talk about the curriculum I use and have used for English, etc. The math my HS son uses is Teaching Textbooks. I am working on a video for other subjects like history, geography, science, and electives. I am just stuck in bed sick with a nasty case of COVID😬. Thanks so much for watching! 😊🌼

What do you do when your state does not have any homeschool high school graduation requirements? (Iowa)
You smile and say yippee!! 🤭 JK, you can look at other states and see what they do or just make your own requirements. Another idea is go to HSLDA.com and see some ideas of graduation requirements you can put into your plan. Blessings to you and your family! 😊🌼

Great video!! Q: HOW DO YOU CHILDREN GET TO TAKE A SEMINARY CLASS AT SCHOOL? IS IT A CHRISTIAN SCHOOL, AND YOU YOU PAY FOR THE CLASS? THANK YOU FOR THE INFO SHARED!
This seminary class is a class my church has for high schoolers. It is not at the high school, but close by. In most areas of the country, the class is early in the morning at a different location and in a few areas, like my area, it is available during the school hours and close to the school. For British literature… What are some of the things you read?
Some great British reads are from those amazing authors like Charles Dickens, Jane Austen, and Emily Bronte. Of course your high school teen needs to read or better watch as many William Shakespeare plays as possible! Get the BBC ones (plays) and cliff notes for the reading as it will help to take the mystery out of Shakespeare's amazing language. Thanks for watching! I appreciate you so much.

Have you had any trouble with colleges accepting earth, physical, or life sciences for admission?
@nicolemcgriff8597 In my experience I have not had any trouble with colleges accepting those sciences you mentioned for admission. My kids did not apply to those universities that were difficult to get into so take that into account also. Most colleges like to see the test scores of the SAT or ACT and are not too worried about the classes they have taken as long as they have done the requirements for science…but again that’s just my experience. If you are concerned with this, you could talk with the admissions office at the colleges/universities you want your kids to get into and see what they say. Ask them what homeschooled teens wanting to be admitted to their university need to take in the high school years. Thanks so much for the question and for watching!! What curriculum or curriculums have you used to teach all of these subjects? I know you probably outsource many of them, but I was wondering if you had a central curriculum you use.
