In the month of May, I'll be posting a video every day that walks you through my Home Reset. This system is designed for people who feel overwhelmed by their belongings and never-ending tasks and need a clear plan to make meaningful progress.
In this video, we'll be working through the day 15 tasks, which are:
    *Work on laundry
    *Work on dishes
    *Secondary bedrooms declutter:
    • Look through any clothes in the bedrooms, putting clothing that isn’t in good shape in the trash and items that don’t fit well or aren’t well- liked in the donations box.
    • Look through the room to identify anything you don’t use or enjoy, as well as belongings you can’t foresee using or enjoying.
*If there is a second bathroom, scrub the bath or shower for 5-10 minutes (day 1 of 2)
This is a completely free series, but if you'd like the guide to use alongside the videos, it's full of tons of helpful tips as well as a Word doc and PDF of the 30 task checklists. It will be on sale for the month of May.

Love the suggestion of making kid's spaces functional. I have little ones too and if it's too complicated then they can't help me keep it tidy. Great reminder!

Exactly! It cuts down on frustrations for me, too, because I don't need to be there to remind them where every little thing goes.

I definitely need the reminder to make sure that what I purchase and set up in my house needs to be functional for me, for this season of my life and adapted to my capabilities in keeping up with the organisation.
I'm still overwhelmed by the amount of stuff in my house and all the decisions that need to be made but since finding your channel and website I am putting less pressure on myself. Also learning I don't need to meet others expectations of me as they don't live in the house or visit.
I'm trying to focus on doing what works for me and continue to adapt my house to my needs. I am doing what I need to do to make progress or maintain the progress I've already made.
    Thankyou, Blessings, Dot

I'm so glad to hear that you're adapting to YOUR needs and capacity, Dot! It takes awhile to get to a place where everything feels comfortable and not overwhelming, but you'll get there!

My granddaughters live with me, along with my adult daughter. The kids have two very different organizing styles. The oldest girl has ADHD, and she prefers just tossing things into baskets with broad categories. The youngest one is a born organized person. She wants her things micro-organized into small categories to make it easier to find exactly what she needs. Macro organizing drives her crazy.

It's so funny how completely different people can be in the same family. I think it's so nice when each person is acknowledged for what works for them, as opposed to trying to make them do things one way.
