Interesting might be to look at floater hubs with a bolt in spindle into the 9 inch housing ends. If full floater spindles are not available for that size housing tubes.
I know some shops retube the 8.8 housings with thicker tubes.
Investing in a 5 foot long piece of W beam to use for Jack to push against .
One can weld up sliding pads to allow you to use Jack stands to support the housings while jacking. So many ways to straighten stuff.

Eventually I will get to this point with my car. Looking at 17x 10.5 with 7.5 backspacing mini tubbed. Love the content

Put the axels in,put rims on,set on jack stands. Stretch tape measure between wheels, turn housing and watch tape. Heat the tube on the long side red hot the size of a dime, then cool with water. Set to zero toe camber not so critical. Only do this when all the welding is done.

Also you can arch those tubes by heating one side along the tube and let it cool and it will amaze you how far you can move it , also try heating a little bit the first time to see how much it moves , you don't want to go to far by over heating it, go slow and take your time

Did you have any issues with the axle being tough to slide in or out..? My drivers side seems like it's bent, I don't know if it's something in the Ford racing trac-loc or the tube is bent. I got the rear end all built and got it in the car then found the issue. When rolling the car by hand there's a spot where something is binding at about 30-40% of a full revolution. The axle goes in and out kind of tough, splines are all good, brand new Moser axles, I even tried 2 other axles and they all went in tough. Any thought's are well appreciated. You do good work btw.

My guess would be it’s bent. It should slide in easy. The only resistance should be the bearing seal.

That's what I figured, but seen somewhere it wasn't that easy since it's cast
