Dude! Finished your video about 8pm CST. Grabbed my lights and headed to my favorite pond. Let me tell you it worked. Used the spinner with a paddle tale and got an 18 inch 3lb bass. The biggest bass I have caught in that pond in two years. Right up by shore.. I caught more, but that was the one. Thank you so much for the video. Now it’s time for bed 🥱

Military training has taught me that red light is the best kind of light to use at night. It's the least intrusive and allows your eyes to adjust to natural light much faster. Tight lines! 🎣

Absolutely Correct. I have two multi colored light strips on my gunnel behind me. I use the red while fishing and when done I can turn it to blue or even white light to get things put away. They are 4’ long and 16 colors. I actually run them on a battery pack that I use to charge my cell phone. I found that to be easier than running wire from the battery or to a switch on the console.

Just got my first double digit bass last night! Black and blue jig on riprap, 45 degree slope in about 6 feet of water.

I find you can straight frog fish till about midnight which by the way is insane because you can’t see it you just hear the blow up. But I find around midnight it cools off the air temp drops and the topwater bite slows down so then I reach for my trusty magdraft
Usually by 1 - 2 am I start thinking about Jason movies and Jurassic park and I high tail it outa there 😅

Two of the best topwater baits are the Fred Arbogast Jitter Bug and the Heddon Crazy Crawler. These have been my go-to topwater plugs for fifty years and they have never let me down. One improvement I made years ago was going to a large, black, jointed Jitter Bug, which worked even better than the straight one. You should check out Bass Masters Magazines back in the mid 1980s. I seem to remember something along that line of night feeding bass, but my memory is much worse than yours.

Thank you. I work all day, so 90% of my fishing is at night from the bank. Its a super effective time to fish!

I used to love to fish at night and if the conditions are right I'd keep them turned out as much as possible I myself could actually fish better just looking at the silulet in the background and it seems like that they have a lot less bug's hitting you in the head but the black light s is definitely a good thing to have when you fishing out in the deeper water you can see it start swimming to the side but that big old black spinner bait and buzz bait can get some big bites in a hurry I'm like Tyler I learned how to fish at night hitting them old Farm ponds and some of them I'd Wade around them was the best times I guess the closest I would Wade around now is definitely in the bathtub lol😅 thanks for sharing your video guys and enjoy the weekend it's really getting hot 🔥 down here in the ⬇️.

    Awesome!!!
Talking about how bass come up shallow at night, you can literally find them in inches of water right up next to the bank if you shine a flashlight around the edges.

Red light is best at night, plus it don't draw bugs. Also a USB charble misquote zapper works great.

If you're fishing a big lake at night, look for areas where bass can push baitfish up shallow and trap them where they cant escape to deep water easily. Nightime is great for finding spots like this. If you have shad, a bright headlamp suddenly turned on will freak them out and show you exactly where they are. Do some scouting and get to know the areas, then fish the darkest nights like during a new moon. Its nore like bass hunting to me. I stand and wait a lot of times until the action starts. I've had some serious fun doing this.

Green light strips attract more bugs/small fish to your boat, black lights are better for reflective line and to see what you are throwing to, but lights in the boat suck for your depth perception. A hat light with a single on/off button is the best. The multiple feature lights are time consuming and wear your batteries out when you don't realize that it is still on. Also, in the summer cloud cover is still something to consider on moon lit nights. I fished exclusively night tournaments for a couple of years, and found this to be true. I still use the same colors at night as day time fishing but the transition from day to night you need to experiment as to what to fish want/can see.

I have deck lights, however mine are green so not to hurt your night vision, and I use a marker to cover the lens to dim them down even more. I mainly use them to identify the edges of my deck so not to mis-step and end up in the water.

Only lights we had on were the black light bars that plugged into the boat. Weather we had fluorescent line or not they helped see when using a net.

Black and Blue jig with matching rage craw trailer w/ rattle dragged if you have rock bottom.
Weedless rigged Phat Keitech swimbait if you have issues with hangups at night
Plopper does alright but top water for me isnt as reliable as the other methods

My best catches at night were throwing a ZOOM Horny Toad. A steady retrive subsurface. Also, ZOOM Speed Worm with a pegged slip sinker.

I have to have the navigation lights on my yak; they provide great vision without messing with my vision. I have blue lights inside that I can turn on to tie lures. My wife has lo-lite green. Both provide good vision without being blinding.
