- A lot of new digsite content was added to the Halo CE mod tools for Halo MCC in the most recent update! Let's take a look at all the new cut unreleased weapons for Halo CE from the digsite team!

The old assault rifle is from the marathon series. With the same functions. This shows that this game could be marathon 4 or adding it in halo before changing it to avoid confusion
There's a lot of connections between Marathon and Halo
The speargun feels like Halo Infinite's Volatile Skewer.
My first thought was sticky detonator from H4 but volatile skewer is definitely closer to being a direct realization.
Some really cool weapons here. The third person stuff is really cool too. Guess modders have some new toys to play with now.
Shame there's still no mods on Xbox, that really sucks for us.

There may be a way to record the sound in question and integrate it for that specific weapon...
Technical Note: The energy sword did have the code and first person model to be playable in the 2003 PC port of Halo Combat Evolved but was never officially implemented in the multiplayer. The devs behind Custom Edition took the coding and models for the energy sword and made it a playable weapon for Halo Combat Evolved modders to use in various mods for Combat Evolved.
Having super fiesta for each game that includes cut weapons in official matchmaking would be INCREDIBLE

I think your second camera helped, but please get a lot closer to the weapons!
It may help for Kidd to stay in place, and you try to fill your screen with the weapons.

@@Hanner_Tenry thanks for the feedback, I'll be entirely honest when I say that there was actual input delay for me, so you'll probably notice that I'd turn then move, and I personally wasn't aware I'd be smol and in the corner. But I will take that feedback into account for the next time I provide footage for Generalkidd.

There's gotta be a way to make the third person weapons first person. For full integration into CE's sandbox of course lol.
Imagine the campaign featuring every single Digsite asset alongside vanilla assets. Include the various 1998-2001 Chief armor variants for customization. Also include all the cut Covenant enemies...
The assets are in the modding tools for modders to make stuff with.
If someone makes first person models (some of these models and textures aren't detailed enough to be used in first person), first person animations, HUD elements, and any other needed bugfixes, they should be fine in first person.
there's like three cut enemies and the normal mouthed elites and they all intersect roles with enemies that actually made it into the game

Some already do, the actual digsite mission is available to download and it has several of these guns first person like the chain gun, assault rifle, and SMG.
Also from what I saw, the energy sword and machete also have charge attack versions if you hold down the fire button, and it does a lot of damage
Wasnt there supposed to be underwater enemies, for the spear gun? Makes sense with the cut boat too
the plasma rifle was originally going to have the plasma pistol overcharge but they switched it so the plasma pistol had the overcharge. the plasma pistol overcharge tags are actually still in the plasma rifle files.
the speargun, having no charge up, feels more like the Volatile skewer than the bow from GOW,
i thought the speargun was a precursor to the skewer from halo infinite, especially the volatile skewer, its pretty much the same if you think about it

What it needs more than anything is the developers' and writers' completely undivided attention.
most of these models have been floating around the modding scene for a while. The Gravity wrench being one of the more popular ones.
Now matter how much time passes, the intro text remains the same and I love it.
A 3rd person perspective Halo likely would've played similarly to Body Harvest on the N64. Somebody should make a mod for that, open world 3rd person CE.

the short shotgun, with its fast fire and small mag, seems to be the inspiration for the bulldog.
the skewer seems to mirror the harpoon.
I wish modders would port these weapons to Halo Custom Edition. Didn't the speargun comeback in halo 4 as the Sticky Detonator or something, maybe it's different idk.
As others have pointed out, it is actually fairly similar to the Volatile Skewer in Infinite.

that missile launcher is in destiny 2 as a skin for the gjallarhorn
Its really interesting to see that one of the earlier iterations of the AR had a grenade launcher like the AR from Marathon. I wonder if Halo's combat was going to be similar to Marathon's originally but the extra firepower on the AR proved to be too strong against vehicles or something.
Ironic considering vehicles are indestructible in CE, but there is a lot of connections between Marathon and Halo

Speargun is a Skewer
I guess the underslung granate launcher gut cut from the AR to emphasis that in Halo youcan throw granates at any time by pressing just one button.
I play lots of older games and havingto switch to granates annoys me more than anything else.

Hopefully this isnt the only time CE gets a digsite update, asim honestly annoyed that no E3 2000 or 2001 content is in there besides somw weapons & bipeds for chief. i prefer the E3 2000 Assets over E3 99.
Plus since they clearly have access to e3 2000, having that avalible would make sense. Give us goddam Sheild Elites!

Halo Combat Evolved was going to be an RTS, but then one of the developers messed with the Warthog's camera angle to be 3rd person and he thought it was fund to drive around. They then decided to make the game into a 3rd person shooter which then developed into a 1st person shooter. 3rd person vehicles and turrets in every other Halo game is a byproduct of that really old Halo design

If these get tested in multiplayer by adding them to random. Like this might be awesome or are they in the official mod tools like I keep getting sick of hearing?
Imagine if Halo CE & halo 3 had loadouts with all the cut content or at least tiers like gun game. Halo 2 is kinda experimental between what is random cut content for classic halo 2 & likely a feature or soon to be for H2A multiplayer.
