The Darkstar sword was commissioned by the Sangheili known as Mac’e Winduumee. Apparently, he wanted to be able to find himself when watching footage of battles he participated in.

You know what I wonder? Why wasn't SPI armor mass produced? It could be worn by normal people unlike Mjlonir, and it was way cheaper. There were even prototypes that had energy shields. It just doesn't make sense why it wasn't at least issued to infantry post war.

Finally, some elite love from 343! I’ve noticed that several are elite armor that they wear in halo 4 and 5 to. Then some new stuff

To think less than 5 years ago a Halo 3 multiplayer mod was shutdown by Xbox to try to prove "tHiS GaMe iS BesT On xBOx"

@@AfterAllWeAreHuman It was shut down, because Microsoft struck a deal with the creators of Halo Online to help them get MCC ported to PC, and their designs and such to come along too once it's good to go.

I’ve never been an Elite player, but when I was a kid my brother always played as one on Halo 2. I have nothing but respect for the community who plays as elites, and I hope you all get the option when Infinite rolls around.

The Accord Elite suit is definately my favorite. I wish we could have seen these armors on Elites in Halo 3. Maybe that could be possible through a mod?
I would like to see anvil initiative Like "Full send" on their human designed Sangheili armor.
Full coverage armor, Colored techsuit, sealed EVA capability, and boots covering the hooves.
The Accord armor is parade armor. It's meant to be provocative and to inspire humans. -For civilians to see an Elite in that armor, and think: "These are our saviors." "They are beautiful, elegant, and Regal" "They are Akin to demigods."
But this armor ahile very lovely, is not Spartan armor for Elites like it's inverse helioskrill sister, abd i'd like to see something like that in the future.
New elite armors are always interesting, and these look really cool

Do you think we could see the Swords of Sanghelios wear something like the Artisan harness in Infinite?
I'd love to see that connection in Infinite, but it's very unlikely to happen.
These new armors from halo online have a lot of the 343 reclaimer era design language in them, and the overwhelmingly loud response from fans after halo 5 was to switch back to a more classic art style.
So while it would be cool, I have a feeling 343 are too afraid to upset the fans halo Infinite.

My favorite Elite armor designs was Halo Reach. They had the classic Elite body-frame, but a lot of awesome details that shined through with the new graphics. Missed opportunity here for Halo Infinite.

Gonna be honest, my favorite looking elite design was halo 4's, but I prefer the way the original trilogy elites behaved. They acted more civilized and noble than what 343 portrayed in their games.
But I don't think the overcompensation isn't 343's fault, it's the fans. Too many people just yelled "bring back classic halo" with no recognition of what 343 actually did right with their games. So as a result, we're getting exactly what we complained for; a total revert to classic halo.

Hate to be that H3 fanboy but it really is the most timeless and best of the games in multiplayer at the very least. It was the start of MLG getting big and it requires a distinctive “Halo” skill set to be good at that makes it a unique FPS. I appreciate what they tried to do in H5 Mp but i hope infinite tries to stick to those Halo qualities that make H3 such a dominant game in the series.

@@lukaku2095 yeah, 3 is the pinnacle of the halo formula. reach can be close in the right game mode. if we aren't getting a anniversary edition for 3 id settle for a definitive edition, polish up the textures especially the faces and thats it.

@@vincethebanana still their designs, Sabre obviously was the main developer but 343 is the one who tells what kind of designs they want, and the one who has the final word on the designs, so the credit still belongs to them

@@civicrider5556 I agree I mean bungie is cool and all but in my opinion as a newcomer to the halo games i think in my opinion (which has the advantage of not being affected by nostalgia) I can say that the only games which actually had a story were Halo 2 Anniversary and Halo 4 , Halo 3 was insanely watered down beyond at the very least my thoughts on how the game would have been After completing Halo 2A I was ready for Halo3 Thinking there would be massive battles major plotlines and great environments seeing how good the game was received in 2007 but then all the lost potential Halo 3 had (more than the present campaign which i do like tbh) but yup Halo 3 was a let down in my opinion to the OG trilogy Halo 2 A was better in almost every aspect but as this is just my opinion and I don't want to offend anyone and I respect everybody else opinions Tanks and have a nice day.
I love the Sangheili, it's great to see them FINALLY be giving some love. Definitely gonna have to jump in for season 7
The only thing that could make this season better is updated Reach elite customization, to put it more in line with Halo 3.
Speaking of Reach, the armor after the General set clearly takes inspiration from the Reach General armor. So cool

@@D00MMAST3R Tbf, you can choose whichever sword in either version's infection. Plus, Halo 5 has all the req energy swords that are reskinned
these aren't skins they are weapon variants
Imagine the cool shit that can be added to custom campaign missions with these armors. Fighting against Elites with with them would be amazing.
Ngl, I was worried first but the more this video goes on, the more I'm getting excited. The armors look good and the lore is very deep and actually makes sense. Not only that, some of it is actually dope too. Good work on the vid mate, nice execution.
I dig that 343i is making an effort to blend new artstyle with the old one as well, so they have some form of synergy.
I don't know if it's restricted to Halo 3's art style, but this armor is PERFECT for Elites in Halo Infinite!

I have played an Elite since Halo 2. I was a kid when we got the game. My older brother was customizing my character.
He asked if I wanted to play the Cyborg or the Alien.
I chose the alien.
What color?
That was easy. I chose gold.
When Halo 4 came out, and stripped me of my playable Elite, as well as of my Plasma Rifle, it made my departure from Halo easier.
When Halo 5 didn't have split screen, I was done.
Oh my god I absolutely fucking LOVE lore behind armor and weapons. It’s like you’re representing whatever it is you choose to use. Waaaay better and more deep than just picking armor that looks best.

I play MCC all the time and I’m so happy it’s happening! Halo 3 is my favorite and my favorite armor is the Honor Guard as I always thought how cool it would be to be one!
I cannot believe I've never thought to ask this; are there any stories of an Elite undergoing the Spartan enhancements as a result of the alliance between humans and sangheli?
If it was any, that Elite would be see as a dishonorable one, Elites have a honor code that makes them dislike even consider the use of Jackals shields, so Spartan enhancements would be seen as a very dishonorable thing to use for them, but ngl that sounds like a pretty cool idea for a history in Halo

@@buklau837 yeah ik it’s kinda contradictory but that’s how Elites work, they talk a lot about honor but have no problem with kill someone using camouflage making their victims unable to have a fair fight, it’s silly, but again that’s how it works for them
@@wolfdragox5563 I also feel like a lot of things in the Sangheli culture may have changed after the great schism; like maybe it would have been dishonorable for the last thousand years but after they turned their backs on the Covenant they may have become more open to human technology and tactics.
@@wolfdragox5563 H O W E V E R, now that a majority of the Galaxy has been taken over by the Banished, its totally possible that many Elites become dissilusioned with their culture and begin to favor the Brutes more pragmatic approach to situations, and as a result, modified Elites could now totally be a thing. We have already seen this with the Banished Silent Shadow being a Cyborg.

I hope after this update, 343 realise how much people want playable Elites in Infinite and eventually add them in a future update. Spartans look incredible in Infinite so I'd love to see how playable Elites would look.

Out of all the new Elite armor my choice would be the Ossoona hands down. I love the sleekness of it along with the green undertones. As for blades I’d use the Darkstar and Bloodblade interchangeably. For the OG elite armor I absolutely love the combat elite armor.

I feel like they now spend way too much time on halo 3 cosmetics, there was recon, where half of it was h3 visors, ninety percent of anvil was h3, ninety percent of raven was h3, and now this

Kig-yar pirates use a similar cutlass to that of the Suban sword. The shard of blamite is known to explode when inside an enemy, I'd imagine this sangheili blade does something similar.

Hope you make a video on the new soundtrack snippets that Owl showed off, the 2nd to last one sounds like an epic boss fight theme.
343 missed the perfect opoertunity to add Halo 2's campaign-exclusive armour, like the Ultra, gas mine, and Honourguard harnesses.
They even missed an oppertunity to add Silent Shadow armour.
Yeah but the reason Halo 2 hasn't received content is because the engine is pretty bad, you could say H2A should get new content which I do agree, though halo 2 is gonna have to get patched to get it stable otherwise it'll just have issues.
Luckily since 343 are fixing the gearbox port of CE to align with the Xbox version I'm sure halo 2 might be next with the fix
I love how halo 3 is all of a sudden getting new content, it’s so weird but great, and a good amount of the armor is actually amazing. I do hope next season they branch out from halo 3, however. I’d love to see them try to take another stab at Halo 2 anniversary multiplayer. The original anniversary multiplayer obviously sucks but I still hole out hope it gets an update. More armor, more maps, etc

Well white and black arent tecnically colors its reflect all or absorb all.

White - Evocatis Edge
Blue - Honorable standard (if I should name its title ),
Yellow/ gold - Light of Jori,
Red - Bloodblade
Orange - Kaidons guard,
Purple - Darkstar,
Green - Necroplasma,
Cardinal/ crimson/ salmon (pinkred) - Lance of Suban.
I hope this stuff is actually original cannon! This is just too awesome!
I really hope in one of the future seasons we get mirrored versions of the ODST/Heavy shoulders from Fireteam Raven in Halo 3.
They're the first piece of shoulder armor in Halo 3 (to my knowledge?) that are asymmetrical, meaning you can't have the amazing vanilla ODST look opposite your emblem shoulder, it has to be the really bulky one. I really hope 343 considers it.
