Had an 16’ LBB M2 for 3 years… I ultimately traded for a new M4 GTS but it was one of the best cars I daily drove and tracked. It was nice to have something new, yet simplistic. The fun Easter Egg was the fact that by pressing the traction control once, you got more burbles in under 4,000 rpm. (Stock exhaust)No not the toggle switch for Comfort/Sport… simply press the traction control button and there you go. More burbles.
Thanks Matt! Even though these cars are slated because it's not a proper M engine (even though it has M4 pistons), it at least sounds like one, and as you say, better than the S55. With the DCT it sounds so good as you go through the gears. You will love how they drive also, I came from an E92 M3 and this car just feels amazing in comparison. Definitely do one on the channel!

100% just record whatever you want to record. Everyone has their own spin on things which makes each video unique, even if it’s a similar topic to what someone else has done. See if you can add your own style somehow with different information and shots. The way you film it might be more pleasing than another video which means someone might watch yours just purely because it’s easier to watch :)

@@OGjackH It's a total different driving exerience to the M2. i do appreciate the extras that's in this compared to the M2 this has all the extras you can get including the ultimate pack. I find how ever going over bumps or speed humps the M4 is more relaxed as to where the M2 don't know how to explaine it in words but it seemed to rumble over ruts or bumps in the road. I do wish they had made the new M2 with options that you get on the M3/M4 . but the new omg! those looks😢 i prefer the old shapes by far🙌 i was going to fit the LED steering wheel to the M2 as a local BMW had them instock but couldn't come to an agreement on price they look awsome in the car❤
Where you've said the M4 is more relaxed over speed bumps vs the M2 I think is the main difference. As a daily tool I'm sure the M4 is better but I think as a drivers car the M2 seems to be the one to have. Agreed, I like the older shapes but I'm slowly coming around to the G chassis and I'm excited to see the new M2 on the road.

Whilst they are a fantastic tyre, they lack feel compared to the supersport. The PS4S is great in the wet but I don’t daily this car so it’s not needed for me. Do you miss the m3?

@@CraigsChannel Being honest you could easily get the same quality from the a7iii. I think on eBay they’re roughly £1k so half the price of mine. Check those out if it’s in budget? @@OGjackH I'm just using a Samsung S20 for my videos now, I remember using a S5 Samsung when I used to do my old car videos. I only really do car videos when I get a new one. Mainly just show people how to mod controllers. My only advice is be consistent with your uploads, that's my biggest downfall. I'll watch this space for you being the next big car video guy 😎 Craig
@@OGjackH Yeah I heard it's a really good auto gearbox. And to be fair, the manual box is a bit rubbery and has a weird clutch. Still, I'm a strong believer that if a car is still available as a manual nowadays, one has the obligation to order it that way 😀
What I was trying to say is that I'd still pick a mediocre manual box over a fantastic auto box in an M2. I'm actually considering an M2 again as a daily driver and am frustrated that there's a used car market with 80% DCT cars because so many people opted for convenience when they ordered their car.
@@sveeny Fair enough! Do note though that it's not just convenience they opted for. The DCT gearbox is an aggressive, snappy, engaging gearbox that isn't just good for dailying because well.. it isn't. It's nothing like the new ZF boxes as it can be quite clunky. But when you're flat out in sport mode etc it's so engaging for a system with just two pedals.
I have an LCI version of this with the M performance exhaust, how do you start up with the valves open? I have to start the car and then go into the boot to press the button to turn the module on then use the controller.
I love the car, just not the colour. Every man and his dog has bought a black car and stuck black everything to it, it's just so boring and common. As for -35mm Eiback springs are not low enough ffsk, it looks too low already. The seats have stiffer foam in than m lite seats, I came from an M140i to an OG M2.
Performance mufflers are the biggest waste of money. When you should simply do the resonator mod or delete. Seen people pay $2-5k for a custom exhaust when they want the sound. Just have somebody do a straight pipe and resonator delete.
The car came with the M-performance exhaust so didn’t have much choice. However I do find you get a more refined sound having a proper system as opposed to just gutting the original exhaust.
Probably running 12mm all round or 10 rear/12 front, which is standard. 15mm would make the wheels extend beyond the arches and usually too aggressive.
Carbon inside is also a big waste of money, it's only looks. Majority of non-car people have no idea what carbon fiber does or is at all. They just thinks it's a pattern.

I went the same route , e92 m3 to m2 ( og LCI ) fyi super sports are not the best tyre in the world , try PS4’s 👌

I don’t miss the fuel economy . Plus the M2 is so torquey it’s a lot quicker point to point . Both great cars . I only use mine weekends . Great cars

I use a Sony A7iv. I’m shooting at 25 fps so a low shutter speed partnered with my shaky hands will lead to shaky footage 😂

So the previous owner actually wired that red button so it’s always activated so you can only use the normal button all the time
