Awesone video! Love seeing Big Days from other parts of the world. For me it was a record Big Day with 121 species and 1 lifer: Bay-capped Wren-Spinetail
I agree that that raft of ducks at 21:55 contained lesser scaup. I didn't realize yesterday was Big Day, but I did pick up some nice birds. I saw an American Goshawk, some Horned Larks (not common in my part of Minnesota), Lapland Longspurs, Canada Jays, and Ruffed Grouse. I was hoping for Great Gray Owl, but I didn't see any
Awesome video, it was so much fun to watch big day! 66 is an amazing number, great job! We saw 8 species in the Upper Back Bay of Orange County in one hour
Singapore 🇸🇬 has the House Crow and the Large-billed Crow, while Hong Kong 🇭🇰 SAR also has the Large-billed Crow which is a resident species, as well as the House Crow and the Collared Crow. Two other unknown rare crows are winter visitors.
@@brighteyedbirding we did most of our birding in Utah County an Salt Lake County. I think my planning could have been a bit better, but now I know for next year!
By the way, I might have told you earlier, but Hong Kong 🇭🇰 SAR has both the Spotted Dove and the Green Emerald Dove. The Rock Pigeon (feral pigeon) is plentiful worldwide.
Great video! 66 species is impressive! I got 51 species in just the morning here as I had other commitments the rest of the day. Would have been neat to see how many species I could have gotten if I stuck at it all day. Maybe next big day I will be more free. No lifers unfortunately. I went out again today to try to find a LeConte's Sparrow that was seen here yesterday but no luck.
Good morning to you from Singapore 🇸🇬. Getting up so early in the morning, how would you and other bird enthusiasts, see any sign of birds in total darkness ? Do you have a night vision camera / video equipment ?
Good morning Mark! That early in the morning you rely on your ears and listening. Birds start calling well before sunrise so you can start off your day before the sun is even out. No night vision needed.
I saw 47 birds yesterday, I also got my gray-cheeked thrush lifer
That's amazing! What an awesome big day!

Can't wait to bird a big day in my Bright-eyed Birding hat!! #GreenHatClub
That would be legendary! :D Thanks for watching and for supporting the channel!
That was great to watch! I recently saw my lifer red-footed booby near the beach.

So many cool birds. I'll join the big day next year! Thanks for the share!
Thanks for watching! Excited to see your big day adventure next year!
Great video! Sounds like an awesome day of birding! I went out and got 68 species for October big day, so not bad but still shy of my goal as well.
Thanks!! That's an amazing number! Where'd you do most of your birding?

Im thinking of doing an entire day of birding in Diependal and Fochteloerveen next week if there’s a day with nice weather
Sounds like an awesome plan! Wishing you good luck!
I think my big day total was less than 10 😂 northern probs. But really cool to see all the different birds we dont get! Excellent big day!
What's important is that you were able to see some birds at least haha.
Awesome stuff! I was able to get 88 and had 13 lifers on the day. Found my first owl as well, live in Southern California.
That's amazing! Well done! Congrats on all of the lifers too! What owl species did you find?
@@brighteyedbirding great horned owl at Bolsa Chica in Southern California :)

Last week I got a super good picture of a Pileated woodpecker they are so difficult to get close to in California
Congratulations on your picture! That's amazing!
Can you do a review on the p950 for birding?
If I had one I would. But the P900 is what I have and it’s a good starter camera!
@@brighteyedbirding oh ok I will put that on my Christmas list then lol
I am also not a really good morning person, haha
Glad to hear I’m the only one!
I got about 20 in my neighborhood, as I wasn't able to get out anywhere else.
That's awesome! Any day birding is a good day!
I spent 5 hrs. at Finley NWR in OR, 9 :00 - 2:00 plus 1 hr. . drive ea. way. a total of 46 species on 7 checklist.
That's awesome! Seems like a really fun day of birding!
I am so glad im not the only one who doesnt make it to the spot at 6 every time 😅
Is this why utahns say crick lol 13:52
Yeah it's definitely a problem I have haha. They do say crick hahaha
