I'm also a leather holster fan, I like the flex and give and the friction they provide with nylon belts. I prefer OWB with a thumbreak for retention but that Tagua looks good.
Great video, Howard; I’ll head to the Tauga website next, since I’ve always disliked my Kydex CZ 75B holsters - despite their functionality - and Tauga may likely have some good (and reasonably priced) options. Like every other serious hand-gunner, I have literally dozens of holsters; if Tagus has soled the ancient dilemma of having a large garbage bag loaded with holsters, by having one design factually work with many autoloaders, then they should receive the Nobel Prize. Warmest regards.
@@roykiefer7713 As a general rule, I’ve found that holsters fitting the 1911 typically also fit the CZ75 (as well as the Browning Hi Power). Considering the wide range of handguns the Tagua holsters in my video fit, you might want to try a 1911 version and see if it works with your CZ.
I’ve not been asked to make a holster for this pistol. Must not be too popular yet. Maybe in the future. You’re videos generate business for holster makers. No doubt about that!
I am surprised you haven’t. As I mentioned in the video, there is really only one source of holsters for that particular pistol. It has something of a “cult” following. Many who own, love them, but they can’t carry them without a holster.
My favorite owb revolver holster is a Tagua. Holds a Ruger SP101, LCR, LCRx, S&W 317, and S&W 640. Fits them all perfectly and has snap retention. I did'nt even have to carve the belt loops wider to fit my belt the way a lot of other holsters require. They are a good product.
Thanks for this review. I have been looking for a new holster to wear cross draw when I'm driving (road trips). I am definitely going to take a look at these.
I am on my way to work, with my G-45 securely resting in my Tagua belt slide holster. Thanks for the video, Chief. Tagua offers a very good holster for the money...
Morning HR. Good review. This is the first time I've seen these holsters reviewed. I picked up two of their non adjustable paddle holsters years ago. One for a Sig P226 and the other for my CZs. They are well made with thick leather that holds it shape. The paddles hold securely and are easy to put on and take off. They have held up well over time.
They seem like really well made holsters to me too. When I first saw their prices on line, I didn’t have very high expectations for their quality. I was quite pleasantly surprised.
Thanks for this review! I looked @ their website and they make a holster that will fit my S & W 986 2.5. I love leather holsters and wood grips for my revolvers and this is exactly what I was looking for. Thanks again H R!!!
Thanks for sharing this information. We've seen them for sale on Amazon, however we had reservations. Nice pistol collection you have as well. God bless 🙏
I bought one off Amazon. It was specifically for a P320, The P320 would not go into it. I sent it back and got my money back. Looks like they have upped their quality control.
Awesome video HR. I prefer leather holsters too. I like the first and second holsters you reviewed. Thank you again and practice practice and carry. God bless
I have one that's made for my CZ 75 (which also fits about four or five of my other guns). I've carried it for about seven years and it barely shows any wear. These are very durable over a long period of time.
H.R., I agree 100% on leather holsters. That is all I use. I found that Arizona Gun Leather Company made a holster for my CZ P-01 with a thumb break snap. (working on my ranch I am always climbing around on equipment, dealing with livestock, etc., so retention is a big MUST). I have tried the Kydex stuff but I am no fan. I also don't shove holsters down in my pants. Definitely cannot work like that. Maybe if I was fence rail thin? Maybe. Also, Arizona Gun Leather makes the belt loops big enough for a sturdy work belt to pass through well. Good video.
Nice review! Tagua makes some very good Holsters and I have three of them. Yes, finding a good Holster for the Steyr M and L series Pistols can be challenging. After I bought my Steyr L9A1, I found a custom fit Turkish made Paddle Holster for it, on ebay.
Good! If I remember correctly, the last time I looked on the Steyr website, they listed a holster for the A1 pistols. Oddly, they had nothing for the A2’s.
Glad I saw this. I'll tr one of them out. My EDC is the size of a Bersa Thunder 380 with a longer slide. Galco's fit except the length is too short. The slide is getting beat up at the pointy end. 😎
I too prefer leather over kydex...the smell of leather and gunpowder is mystical.....especially my Sam Andrews customs....this company reminds me a bit of my Versa Carry rigs...not sure I like the ambi design with sweatguard being on outside...Craft also makes a very nice leather rig of which cradles my 1911's...I'll give Tagua a spin....thanks H.R...
Enjoyed the video Howard. I have not heard of the Tauga holster, but since my preference is a leather holster for my carry guns, I will check them out. I daily carry a government-sized 1911 in .45 acp and have a leather IWB holster that has served me well for a long time. But would like to find a good, leather outside the waistband for my 1911 when I am around the house. Thank you again for this video.
I just got a Sig 320, M18 with a Leopold Delta Point, Looks like the first one would work well for that, if the Leopold is in same spot as others you showed..
I'm curious if you tried the CZ P-01 in the first holster off camera. I also love leather holsters and cross draw. As someone else has said, Tagua doesn't list any CZ products in their compatibility lists. But I know many leather holsters can handle multiple gun models, just as you demonstrated. Thanks for your videos!
I tried it just now at the request of another viewer. It fits the first holster that I showed in the video, but the lock feature does not retain it. It does not fit the second holster in the video.
I bought them during a tour of the S&W factory. At that time, they were made in-house under the brand name “Ace Grips.” The closest one to them nowadays are probably made by Altamont.

Very innovative ideas but I've never found a friction fit design I could trust. Do they have any holsters with thumb breaks, a US distributor, or a website?
HR, Like you, I like leather holsters. The problem that I have is that I'm kind of a dinosaur when it comes to the guns I own. I looked at the Tagua website and was extremely disappointed to find that they don't make holsters for most of my guns. For example, I have 3 Berettas; a model 92, a model 84, and a model 70. Tagua only makes once for the 92, and I already have holsters for that one. I also have an Astra Constable .380 ACP, which is very similar to a Walther PPK, so there may be one there. The rest of my guns are all older models of one kind or another, and Tagua seems to only make holsters for new or modern handguns. I also thought that you didn't care for Glocks. Is that one left over from when you were in Law Enforcement? Cheers, Zeke
Thanks Zeke. That Glock 19 is my current issued duty handgun (and no, I don’t like it any better than any other Glock I’ve ever handled). Tagua does make holsters for the Walther PPK. Some of their other holsters might work with your vintage pistols. As you saw, many of the handguns that fit the holsters in the video were not listed on the package. It might be worth a call (or email) to Tagua. Ask if they have any model(s) to fit your pistols.
While they certainly look well made, they are way too bulky and thick for my liking. I have found the very best belt holsters, belts and magazine pouches on the market are Kramer Horse Hide Leather.
