- CORRECTION! Rococo, not Victorian! Was in such a rush to get this out I didn’t fact check 🫣What a stunning time on this city full of Spirit! Our small group was just wonderful! Like I said, we ere not going for historical accuracy, and definitely chose comfort over anything else. We walked almost 8 miles hah!

I would love to find a fabric store here in Oklahoma City that is like your discount store
Absolutely love this! And you went to my home town New Orleans!!! Fat Tuesday is the best right? I know you had the best time, especially in those costumes!!! Miss home! We literally drive back only 3 hours (From Pensacola) for food runs!!!
Your creations are amazing, maybe you can make me a dress with lots of gemstones
Gunnar, do you make a muslin pattern for every costume you make?
Is muslin the best material to do that with or would it be better to make it in cotton or a flat polyester?
Do you have sewing lessons or will you have classes in future?
Update on the historical accuracy bit! I mixed up eras when I said Victorian. Brain wasn’t working post Mardi Gras 😂😅
OFF with his head!!! 😂
Hope you had a great time!
As a historical clothing maker, my eye twitches too. However, darling, you, your transcendent effervescent energy, and your creativity live rent free in my mind. All is immediately forgiven. Cheers all around 😊
Understand “post” Mardi Gras brain, lol. Loved you paid homage to Sophia Coppola’s artistic liberty.
You both looked amazing. Glad you had a great time!
as a random history nerd, Thankyou for the update!
Your bf did an excellent job with the wigs btw 👏🏾 👌🏽 ☺️
You killed it FABULOUS
You have a boyfriend that does hair?!? Well, you have the whole package and living the life. So impressed and happy for you.
That's historical in itself! Absolutely fantastic work Gunnar, and I get the lining up the pattern thing.
Now give me a old romance book about these two gorgeous man please
I'm so straight and such a prude but I just finished a book by Kresley Cole about two gorgeous men, it was a great book and I loved it.
historians will claim they’re "two male best friends" anyways
@@lesliehardeman6212 how it's called? :)
@@nektonekto3459 let me look
@@lesliehardeman6212 thank you!
As a historical costumer, I winced at calling the wigs “victorian (1838-1901) ” cause they should be called “Georgian (1720s to 18teens) BUT!!! Its all glorious!! So beautiful and creative and you are amazing!! Love it!!
I had the same😅😅
Me too 🫣😂
Thank you, I didn't want to be the one to say it😅👍
Yeah, but they're french fashion so I wouldn't call them Georgian either
@@thekingoftheplatypus good point. I just couldn’t, off the top of my head, remember what the french called it, as I am kind of a anglophile. Either way Gunner made some beautiful things….I want to make that the important thing here
My favorite video yet. So amazing!
You and the bf worked as a team 🥰🥰 so precious
I LOVE EVERYTHING! From the costumes to the wigs to the makeup... SLAYED!
You have no idea how much the pattern line up has made my day. So many people just sew together the fabric and don’t care but I really loved that😭
Yeah That really injures my soul when they don't. Unless there is some extenuating circumstance.
My mother taught me to sew when I was in elementary school and pattern matching was one of the things she stressed. It makes me crazy to see clothing that has mismatched patterns or stripes!
Loved it so much that it made you bawl (crying hysterically) your eyes 👀out?? WTF!?!?🙄
@@adriella7668 I think the one who has trouble regulating emotion seems to be you, sir... it's just an emoji, relax
Soooo satisfying
Youre not crazy for aligning the fabric, its so perfect!! 😂
I honestly hope nothing but the best for you. Taking the time to match the pattern really makes a difference. Keep happy my dude.
"match up the pattern" Floors me everytime I see this on clothing, especially something so intricate. Just amazing!
Turned out fabulous. Your boyfriend slayed those wigs.
The upholstery store always has the best fabrics.
You two look so incredible together in those costumes. Well done!
Thank you for being fierce about matching patterns within a fabric. It is the only way to create an item that looks very upscale and totally professional.
Gorgeous costumes! The wigs, the clothes, the makeup, love it all.
OH MY GOSH, THEY'RE MATCHING!!! YES! I LOVE IT. I don't think I could pull it off, but you two can! I love it and love that you didn't go based directly off of history. Thank you for being you and being so inspiring!! 💙
Omg it must have been hotter then Hades, in those costumes and wigs. Even in February it's usually pretty warm here in the south. You all look beautiful and fabulous. Hopefully next year you can find ways to make the clothes and wigs breathable so you can have even MORE fun. I hope this becomes a tradition for you. You deserve all the good times in life.
Exquisite!!!!!!! Costumes and Wigs are amazing!!!!!!!! 💞💞💞💞💞💞💞💞💞💞💞💞💞💞💞💞💞💞💞💞💞💞💞💞💞💞💞💞💞💞💞💞💞💞💞💞💞

I now love you even more for lining up that pattern
You are not crazy for matching the pattern wtf? My OCD is glad I follow you, I would have 3 aneurysms otherwise lol.
The garments are STUNNING! I love the shape, the pearls, the colors, the wigs! OMG the wigs! They are from another world, absolutely gorgeous! Even the apliques are beautiful and everything from head to toe is so on point! Truly spectacular.

Absolutely beautiful outfits. I love New Orleans. It's one of my favorite place to visit.
I love the history bounding here, those costumes are gorgeous! Which is why I apologise for this nitpick: the wigs are Georgian inspired not Victorian, there's a really huge difference between the hairstyles of these periods that are right next to each other
Rocco actually

They do look lovely, though. Beautiful couple in beautiful costumes. xx
