indian girls don't use makeup generally. but in wedding bride is supposed to do make-up. then they apply all the kind of make up together on that day. 😂😂 believe me as an Indian I ensure you that no Indian put that much make-up in his/her entire life except this wedding day. We don't know Why and from when but bride has been applying all the make-up on wedding day from begging.

I am really glad that you mentioned “Indian Bengali” because I believe many international viewers don’t know that there’s Bengali’s in other regions besides India (and all of them are equally beautiful). You look really gorgeous. Btw I would be interested to see the makeup of Bangladeshi weddings, would be interesting to see makeup from the same ethnicity but of two regional areas
Well it's pretty much the same for Hindus in both West Bengal and Bangladesh, though Mymensingh Hindus have one special thing which is wearing orange rather than red but red Benarasi saree has replaced that and it's ubiquitous to all Hindu Bengalis. Muslims may wear any colour for Nikaah but lately I have observed white become very popular. The Chakmas and Marmas and Hajongs have their own dresses for wedding.
Actually its the other way around. In the west it was always said by others that bengali's are from bangladesh and thats it. As a person who is half indian bengali, this was a struggle for me growing up, as all the bengali's around me were bangladeshi (that is in no offence to them). There were a lot of differences I discovered, as I had thought bangladesh was in India and I found out it was not😆, and the difference of indian bengali and bangladeshi dialect.

Is there some particular difference between Bengali makeup when come compared to Punjabi or North Indian makeup?
@@anniemannie6 yes... The Bengali bride look is defined by bright red attire - preferably in a banarasi weave or a traditional embroidered surface design(traditionally). Other colours are also in practise. Bengali brides are famous the world over for the decorous bindi designs they sport as a part of their wedding look. Drawn on the forehead in kumkum & Chandan (sandalwood) paste, these are an undeniable signature when it comes to a Bengali bride. This striking red look is further accented with a white headgear called ‘Mukhut or ‘Topor’, Shankha-Pola on the wrists and intricately designed gold jewellery.
As a Bengali, I love this so much, I'd never wear this but it makes me so happy to see my culture recognized!!

As a Bengali, the sheer amount of concealer and foundation used by the makeup artists have always scared me. They entirely change how the bride looks in real life. We have a popular saying here that "you know how the bride actually looks on the day after the wedding". I'm going to go for a far lighter and natural makeup look at my wedding.

When I first started watching her several weeks ago, I thought she was quite goofy, a bit nuts and way too stylistically silly . . . but I'm realizing she's got a sweet sense of humor & seems intelligent in a way I never expected.
