I’m not sure that I’m a “fan” of Susanna’s as fan is short for “fanatic” but I most definitely admire her immensely, and she is clearly one of the most down to earth, modest and shy people I’ve ever had the pleasure of meeting, and our conversation was far longer than this interview, I was working for many labels and artists while also being a journalist in the music industry, and oddly enough (as a few other artists have done), she was asking about me vs the other way around, and it was only two and a half years before this interview, and many decades later, she’s still the same person (as far as several of her humane attributes as she did in 1987), a real person to say the least ❤️

Great interview, the industry has changed quite a lot, yet she’s still who she is and that’s very rare, and maybe it’s why some of the best artists haven’t achieved the type of insanely ridiculous amount of fame and fortune, as I don’t believe it’s something that Susanna & other artists went into the music industry for. Fortune & Fame are a incidental occurrence for many, however some of artists who of course want to share their beauty with others, like Susanna, Johnette Napolatano of Concrete Blonde, Glen Phillips, Lisa Loeb, Edie Brickell, etc., some received Fortune and Fame and it doesn’t make them any more or less talented artists, and I’ve met & spent time with each of them & they’re still the same real people they were then as they are now

Not with many people & artists, sadly it’s the times of so much hatred & bigotry that has divided people, yet music and films don’t have to hide from censorship nearly as much as in other generations and yet sadly social media is being used for negativity rather than positivity, and has brought back a new type of censorship that shows that history can repeat itself, and has many times caused more damage than not ☮️❤️
