Actually the decision Chris made was more smarter than you think Chris did not want to tell the world about a sync’s plans and the reason why Chris veered off the marked pathways is because he wanted to lure the creature in the darkness away from the marked pathways and prevent it from bringing havoc on earth
This guy has one of the most insane stamina and endurance ever. This guy walks all day and is chased numerous times in the backroom, and then he comes back in for another round, what an absolute madman.
@@tomstegeman4344 People even seem to go months in there without food or water. If we're thinking in terms of a place like this that has no end and nothing makes sense then the environment probably makes it so you don't need sleep/food/water. I mean come on people are falling through the ground and the air has a bacteria that causes mutations. If you don't need any of those 3 things to survive then unlimited stamina isn't that far off. Oh god don't let the gooners discover a portal to the back rooms....
This is phenomenal. It is a lot of empty plot when it comes to the protagonist walking around, but that's what the backrooms will be so it isn't bad. Very high quality.
Seriously, at the start I was absolutely terrified that the dog would fall in. I can handle bad things happening to adult humans, but dogs and cats and other pets are right up there with children in how "nope" I am to seeing awful things happen to them.
My headcanon is that he was just about to start out on a huge nature excursion, and had a huge backpack full of provisions and extra batteries and tapes for his camcorder, and had just decided to start out by filming his dog for a couple of minutes. As for why he had no reluctance going back into the back rooms to find the other guys, he is both very brave and, as you may recall, severely and repeatedly concussed.
The kid should have/would have asked way more questions. He was getting chased within minutes of entering the backrooms, why would he go back in? Hearing him shout the names of people he doesn't even know, while coughing from the bacteria these people won't tell him about? Seemed a tad unbelievable. Other than that tho, top quality backrooms material!!
I think he had already spent a couple of days in BR at that point, like when he told the hazmat guys how long he had been exposed to the bacteria in air or smt
I agree, I would have never gone back. Also, they should probably have given him something to eat and drink if he really was in there for 2 to 3 days. Otherwise, very great and compelling content!
If something is popular you're definitely going to find idiots in the comments nit picking. This guy likely doesn't understand what he's just watched but wants to criticize what's believeable or not.
Actually, have you ever watched TRUE panic and desperation? Irl he would've not reacted, not screamed, not runned, he would've just freeze in place and died. The fact he ran without uttering a word is way more precise than a full on "OH MY GOD HELP ME". Eg: people scream when they are being chased by a dog because they know what a dog is, they know there are people around, and they know somewhat how to defend from it. The big bro on backrooms? How do you defend from that shit?
Rob at the end was definitely a backrooms copy of the original Rob. In the same way that the Backrooms are like an AI trying to create reality and getting progressively better, the artificial version of Rob is an upgraded version of the monster that gives really dumb/NPC answers toward the end and always has him leading... towards the spider's den ("why is there no water in this pool"). BTW I legit feel bad for Juno.
The moment I saw him I guessed it was an entity and it was pretty obvious. Everything you said were my exact thoughts. The first red flag was how Chris found him, standing there and waiting. It was completely inhuman. He couldn't answer any questions, he said it was a few minutes. Refused to take lead yet knew where to go. It was pretty obvious. I personally wouldn't have gone near him even though I'm supposed to be finding him. Matter of fact I wouldn't have gone back in. I would've tried to find the exit to the facility without getting caught by staff if possible. Chris is an idiot
I always wonder about that too, but I read in a backrooms wiki that time flows different there and you often don’t get hungry or thirsty and cannot die because of starvation. Don’t know if it’s true though, never been there myself. 😅
Plus if you know about the Backrooms, Almond water is around if you can find some and it will help you survive. But it is rare in level zero. If he can make it to level 4, almond water and food is available and there are no enemies in that level. But being in level zero, with the Bacteria monster, it is very hard to escape this level. Let alone survive. 😊😂 I love the Backrooms lore along with SCP Lore.
@@xamalion7334 If it's true, it certainly adds to the cruelty of being stuck in there. The average person can only last 3 days without water. If that's no longer the case in the Backrooms, then you either die from going insane, or are killed by an entity.
@@xamalion7334 In Backrooms - Informational Video, there's a guy that traverses through time. Later in Damage Control it's even told to us that he instantly went 2 months in the future.
Cool work, man. The tile rooms and the doorways to isolated outside places are a nice touch. The Backrooms seem like a form of Hell... an endless Minotaur's Labyrinth that serves no purpose except to swallow souls forever.
Big fan of the video game control by remedy. Someone suggested backrooms and this is incredible. I had no idea this existed until this weekend but wow. Incredible work and the idea of being stuck in a non liner space like this is terrifying.

I've always wondered if the Backrooms doesn't suppress the need to eat, drink and sleep since the protagonists of these videos just seem to wander for hours if not days on end without any supplies. There's even been depictions of characters surviving in the Backrooms for apparent weeks or months at a time without adequate supplies.
@@knottheory79220 I have wondered the same thing. The only explaination I've been able to come up with is that time doesn't work the same way in the Backrooms as it does in "the real world", and so maybe they don't age or get hungry or anything because everything stands still. That is my headcanon at least.
When put together in a compilation like this, you can really see the improvements to lighting, texture work, animation, and even sound balancing over time. Congrats on making one of the most iconic Backrooms series on UA-cam :))
I will say, the fact that they didn't bother to look at his footage to gain an idea of what happened to him and those in the backrooms before just bringing him back in is probably the least realistic thing. Instead of them gaining info from his recordings, they just tell him to keep recording and bring him back in?
Almost entirely believable sequence of events. Async is my favourite of the genre. However the exit to the forest was surely worth a considerable amount of exploration, rather than an almost immediate return to the monotony and danger of the backrooms.
Agree. I think in the forested area, it would have been interesting if he went to walk further into the woods and it was just a big fake board. I imagined it to be like that. Like the fake street and fake city in other backrooms ones.
35:00 has me unnerved just hearing voices out of nowhere is terrifying, and the fact that one of those "entities" banged on the elevator doors is just chilling. Makes me wonder what "they" would have done to him if he hadn't got away in time. I would not be going back into that place if I was Chris.
@CountryboyAR no, he knew the backrooms shifted even if he left got equipped he may never find any of the spots he was at again. The guy needed help, he was there, he did the best he could, as all brave men have.
Love the entire video and your work however it was aggravating how easily chris went back in and also didnt stress the danger to them and how the people in charge didnt think they should basically get a small army before going back in.
Yeah without being overly critical of the video, cos it's really well done, I notice stuff like that from gaming POV almost. My gf does as well, probably a side effect of playing strategy games where you have to manage your resources and weapons, we always think, yeah, go in there hard with dudes everywhere with guns and tech to stay in contact. There'd be a SOP where *everyone* travels in groups of no less than 5 or something, everyone's armed to the teeth and everyone has built in cameras and radio contact with each other and base ALL THE TIME. Basically you have to take over the Backrooms and lock the place down HARD, it's just too weird and unpredictable to take chances. Annex the place bit by bit and lock off and clear it. Now there's a movie.
Its so lazy and deceptive, I dont know why it gets mindless praise... oh. More than one channel I used to love died and doing that sort of thing was one of the later strategies they employed to try to increase views without increase production cost or time. Not saying thats what this is, but its really lazy and deceptive regardless.
brother HE WAS LITTERALY AT THE EXIT and he went back in the backrooms just to get eaten by something THAT DUDE LITTERALY HAD THE GOLDEN OPPORTUNITY TO ASK IF HE CAN GET TAKE OUT OF THE BACKROOMS.
Yeah I really don't understand that. If someone told me if I can show them the way, I'd would've said NO. IM STARVING AND BEEN WALKING FOR 3 DAYS. I SAW MONSTERS Not to mention the hallways would change too so it's no guarantee that he would find a way back. So this cameraman has a death wish or something
Just goes to show how this generation isn't just cowardly but overly selfish. Giving up a chance to escape a place you dont want to be to save another person, even if it means your death is the type of courage you think you have. Well, you probably do. It will come hit you in the moment. You will make the same decision he made.
@GerardoUmi brother he literally saw the room warp in his very eyes. And saw every single person he encountered die. Monsters that he's never saw and he's been starving. This isn't about bravery. There is no one to save. That's literally what's stupid about it. You would have a point if anyone was Alive in there. They all died. So who are you saving? Because him going back in there got more people killed lmao.
This was probably the best Backrooms movie I've ever seen, but honestly I'd watch a movie of Chris playing with his dog, she was too adorable Fantastic job either way lol this deserves more love
Cute dog! Would be interesting if you had a video that's serious, about a guy looking for his dog, and another silly, with the dog ignored by the entities, while the suited guys run around. Thanks for the video!!!
Honestly very good edits and FX stuff. Looks incredibly good. But for the story... I have some problems with the decision making of this kid... At many time I was like "no... Nobody would react like that" good job tho! I watched it with no pause, I was sooooo into it
The Back Rooms was after Chris the whole time. At the end, that was NOT Rob! It was a backrooms entity based on Rob, leading Chris to his ultimate doom
After Chris finds the ladder you can hear a faint” hello” which means Rob was out in the forest to which doesn’t match up to what the fake Rob says which was a sign that wasn’t Rob 26:45

For me, I don't like when The Backrooms 'shift' or change layout. The fact the Backrooms are basically infinity negates the need for them to shift. I feel the Backrooms are much more unnerving as just this huge static model than some sentient creature playing with the people who happen to find themselves there. Just my opinion, aweome video though, love it!
For when the two fell down the holes, the camera man is totally at fault for himself falling since he kept looking back and downward. Those acts alone disoriented him enough to unsteady his footing.
Why would you even attempt to go though the bridge oby walking? I would just sit on the ground with my legs hugging the sides of the wall and scoot all the way
I wish Hollywood would stop recycling old movies, making part 25 of fast and furious and make a backrooms movie! This was cool to watch! I definitely wasn't expecting to enjoy it as much as I did. Looking forward to more of your projects!
These backrooms stories are still so popular! I love the eeriness of the areas they walk in to, also, theres always that feeling of finding something at every corner or behind each door. I am always expecting a jump scare! Thats how i see backrooms!!
@@ReckSaber3664 no that was the A-sync lab. It's a gateway portal between the real world and level zero. He could've left and gone home if he found his way out the lab (I don't think the staff would allow it though) unfortunately our protagonist is the definition of dumb ass. Bro yelled every chance he got, made a ton of noise, every bad decision possible and willingly went back in after being chased by multiple entities. Genius
You know I wish these monsters/entities didn't look like that. The backrooms is meant to be a familiar distorted/mirrored/copied version of real places... what if these entities/monsters were actually distorted versions of ourselves. Like imagine you're walking alone through the backrooms and see an ever so slightly distorted version of yourself at the end of the corridor. Starring, standing completely still. It looks like you, but not fully because backrooms can't fully replicate/copy you. Something feels off about it, like the whole of the backrooms does. Then suddenly without warning it comes sprinting towards you at full speed, making no noise, completely silent. I think that would scare the living !!!! out of me.
You'd think that with the team saying stuff like "there's no time to waste waiting around", they sure are taking their sweet time getting back to the original location lol Amazing job!!
Holy cow! An hour and a half long video. I haven't watched it yet and excited but just had to say how impressed I am for how long it is. I can't wait to watch it!
this is amazing but my one critic of this is that an industry like A-sync would absolutly get a copy of the tape asap to learn about his journey and learn more on how the backroooms work
I said this on the episode video but nobody absolutely would just immediately go back in to the backrooms. It just wouldnt be something that anyone would be content with doing. This version of A-sync seem extremely unprofessional and incompetent and care-free. They most certainly would not allow this guy to go back in, he would be brought in, his camera and footage taken for examination and further mapping and he would be put in quarantine for numerous reasons. They also would not just casually decide to go back in without any preparation or new information. Very well done videos though I must say.
I think my personal favorite part is the sound scape. From the constant breathing to the random background noises, makes the visuals all the more unnerving.
The footage and imagery and scenery were fantastic. A masterpiece. Maybe the best backroom footage I've ever seen......but i can't help but be annoyed by the protagonist - his unrealistic dialogue/ reactions to things really took me out at times. These things are minor in the big picture, but they stick out when everything else is so masterfully done. Like, the voice-acting and sound engineering were immaculate. But the dialogue script was SO TERRIBLE. Like, 1 hour into the film, after all the existential horror and psychological terror he has been subjected to by wandering in the backrooms, getting chased by nightmare entities, seeing impossible architecture physical paradoxes, our hero is still making these ARBITRARY comments (and making them outloud as if to we the audience, who isnt there) like "wha--- is that a---STAIRCASE??!" or "what the hecking hell....why are all the paintings the same??" or proceeds to shout "HELOOOO! iS aNyBodY tHeRe?!?!" after having that tactic blow up in his face like 15 times and being chased by a horrible entity each time he does that. ***Bro's last words were literally: "Hey Rob, why is there no water in this pool?"*** After everything he's encountered. LOL did Rob write this? 🤣 That is shockingly bad writing. It's crazy to me to think that there was a moment in time where the creator of this video had to have sat down near the end of the project and gone "what should I have Chris say in this moment? Hmmm.....I dunno....what would a human do?......ugh fuck it im tired". So that is what he settled on, as if to give some type of causality to his reaction to ultimate betrayal. Let's not even talk about his decision to go back into the Backrooms after being lucky enough to survive and find the exit, let alone be ALLOWED to re-enter by A-Sync. Also, the script was incosistant with chronology. Our hero is lost for a few hours and claims it to be 3 days, then later claims it to be "weeks". As disorienting as the Backrooms are, one would still know whether days have passed or not (you'd be fucking dead from dehydration, for starters). The A-Sync Research crew's script really breaks the immersion at times. Like, with how established and top-secret of an organization they must be, requiring Earth's highest level of technology and training to be in that position (investigating and studying the extra-dimensional anomaly that is the Backrooms and keeping it a secret), yet for some reason they just let this random kid they found run the show, right away. In reality, they would quarantine Chris at minimum, but probably kill him even after interrogating him, for the sake of bio-hazard protocol & secrecy. Overall they seem clueless and don't know why they are there or what their JOBS even are / don't have a game-plan about anything (like sticking together when they get lost, let alone what their goal is at any given moment). It's like you stuck a bunch of Burger King employees in haz-mat suits and teleported them there without briefing them. That's literally how they come off to me (the audience). I know I probably sound like an asshole right now, but the reason why these details are so aggravating is because I KNOW how much time and talent went into making this video. With all that time and effort spent to create such realistic CGI from scratch and creating imagery consistent and authentic with a hyper-nuanced/super-specific type of lore and aesthetic. It took an *inhuman* level of commitment to make the environment & setting so beleavable and realistic....therefore it's shocking that NOT ONE DROP of that same commitment was put into the dialogue.. The voice acting was top-notch, and so was the audio production. So many takes must have been done for the voice actors to get it just right.........but somehow the easiest part got overlooked: writing a believable script! A script that didn't even require wit, drama, a narrative, or creativity. It just needed to be believable! The bare minimum! Believable to an established loyal & campy audience who is already willing to suspend disbelief because we are so invested in the lore/novelty of the Backrooms universe already. The hard part was already done for you! Jesus Christ!
This is the perfect backrooms movie, its the mix of the vlogger type film and one of the workers, ive been searching yt for days and im so happy i found this
This gets to one of the aspects of the Backrooms, beyond the fear of never finding an exit, that I love (aka hate) the most is always being unsure of which path one should take through it because even while being explicitly chased, you never know if it’s better to attempt to hide from the threat or flee towards a random route not just unsure if you’ll just get more lost than before but also unsure if said alternate path could potentially lead to a fate far worse than whatever would happen if caught by your pursuer
Chris: "Oh I found the exit of this place" Researcher: "Wanna go back in there to find lost workers which I'm 99% sure are dead" Chris: "Sure" Dog: "tf happened"
Id like to point out that the guy in the beginning running with a gas mask while in a level A suit is an absolute madman. From experience, your lungs would be shredded running that distance with all that gear on.

I can handle bad things happening to adult humans, but dogs and cats and other pets are right up there with children in how "nope" I am to seeing awful things happen to them.
The whole 1.5 hours i was worried about the dog :(
My headcanon is that he was just about to start out on a huge nature excursion, and had a huge backpack full of provisions and extra batteries and tapes for his camcorder, and had just decided to start out by filming his dog for a couple of minutes. As for why he had no reluctance going back into the back rooms to find the other guys, he is both very brave and, as you may recall, severely and repeatedly concussed.
He just has a severe untreated case of CTE! 🤣

Well. This “A Sync” isn’t following many of Kane’s rule or lore, but the camera could be powered similar to how the tv didn’t need to be plugged in.

I love that there's so much creativity in this genre, that something so fresh can come from yellow hallways. Outstanding.
For a guy just out filming his dog in his back yard, he sure brought a lot of battery packs with him to be filming for days.

The TV was on an unplugged maybe powered by a frequency keeping batteries alive
The kid should have/would have asked way more questions. He was getting chased within minutes of entering the backrooms, why would he go back in? Hearing him shout the names of people he doesn't even know, while coughing from the bacteria these people won't tell him about? Seemed a tad unbelievable. Other than that tho, top quality backrooms material!!
Likely the Backrooms messing with his mind. He might've been half convinced he was dreaming.

Sees some wierd creature full running towards him : *nothing, not even a single scream*
He didn't scream so when he hides the creature wouldn't find him
Weird creatures must be an average Friday for him.
Maybe emotions work differently in the backrooms, because everyone there is seem to be in a blasé state of mind.
How do you defend from that shit?
he screamed when the anomaly found them but it was too loud
Plus if you know about the Backrooms, Almond water is around if you can find some and it will help you survive. But it is rare in level zero.

The detail of him getting mkre and more frantic and paranoid as it goes on, getting scared when he cant see his buddy of hear him is perfect
I will say, the fact that they didn't bother to look at his footage to gain an idea of what happened to him and those in the backrooms before just bringing him back in is probably the least realistic thing. Instead of them gaining info from his recordings, they just tell him to keep recording and bring him back in?

You know I wish these monsters/entities didn't look like that. Like imagine you're walking alone through the backrooms and see an ever so slightly distorted version of yourself at the end of the corridor. Starring, standing completely still. Good stuff, my dude! Very well done!
***Bro's last words were literally: "Hey Rob, why is there no water in this pool?"***
After everything he's encountered.
LOL did Rob write this? 🤣
That is shockingly bad writing.

This was amazing!!! Such a cool and scary experience!
