That horse was running as fast as the guys Japanese in the background but dang that horse not only came from the rear of the pack but also on the outside. GEEZ.
Watch Zenyatta videos. She did the same thing in all 20 of her races. Watch her first Breeder's Cup victory against the colts. Then watch her one and only loss in her second Breeder's Cup (her only loss, by a nose), and you'll understand what "heart" is all about.
This is one of my favorite race calls, ever, and I can't understand a single word. The announcer radiates such excitement and energy that I think I'd be pumped hearing it while blindfolded. Sensational horse and equally amazing call!
Never seen horse close that fast in 45 yrs as a racing fan! Just wondering what the name of that horse was? Hmm! The last time I saw a horse close anything close to that the horse died on the track of a heart attack immediately after the race!!!
This "super horse" was Broad Appeal, graded winner on dirt in Japan. Unfortunately, she died today in Japan September 8th 2021, she was 27 years old. Still go back to this video every so often but today is definitely the day to. Rest in peace to this super horse!
I was at DRC race track and I watched a horse make a move just like this...I was speechless...His name was Danzig Connection. It was the first year of the Breeders Cup and he finished fourth in the sprint...Nice clip.
that is the faster close I have ever seen. Amazing. I wish I had the times at the 1/4, 1/2 and 3/4 (Finish) or was it 7F. Freaking amazing. Thanks for sharing.
Jared G sorry, but japanese is spoken at such a rate due to how low the information density is packed into every syllable. if they were to speak at a rate of english, it would make conveying information way slower than english. Just putting it out here.
To all the doubters and those who think this video is fake: it is real. The horse's name was Broad Appeal. She was a daughter of Broad Brush, and this was her typical running style. She would run easy at the back of the pack, then accelerate rapidly at the top of the stretch. She was not a distance horse, so she never would have beat Secretariat, but in a one-turn race she won often.
Broad Appeal, a filly, was a sprinter, no more than 7 furlongs. Almost any decent horse would have beaten her at 10 or 12 furlongs. She let other horses tire themselves out, then came on with that burst of speed that she was saving.
A very impressive "closer". I love horses that come from of the pace. It reminds me of a major upset when a gray Canadian horse won the Traver's Stakes at Saratoga, many years ago. His name was "Runaway Groom", and his progeny are graet closers.
Runawayy Groom out of Blushing Groom, was quite a good horse, winning at 12 furlongs. A gray, he reminds me of Izvestia, another Canadian horse, who won the Canadian TC in 1990. He was not a late closer, stayed near the front, got the run of the race often, but around the far turn accelerated and beat all other horses by huge margins. He did win in America, the Molson Million race beating American horses in a Grade 1 race.
In 1973 ( correct me if I'm wrong) Secretariat ran in the Belmont, and in that race on that day, NO horse that has ever run would have beaten him ! Since he has died over 2,000,000 horses have been born, and still no horse has beaten his time on that day. It may never be beaten ! R.I.P. Big Red your STILL the Champ!
near the finish line, it is common for all jockey make the horse change into sprinting mode...but even when all horse is sprinting...that one horse is special...a rare genetic, should be preserved
This a a great accomplishment to come from the rear in the final stretch, and also be unlucky number 13. Secretariat and Ruffian are the best in my opinion, but this horse is pretty amazing too!
Kincsem, a mare. ran all over Europe, and England, too. She raced against males, was given several walk overs when no other horses dared to race against her. She was said to be "lazy" and sometimes would not start when all the others did. She had a cat who had to travel with her. She was as long as a boat, as thin as a hungry leopard, had long thin legs.Very Turkish. I cannot say anything about how fast she was, but she was faster than any other horse on the track!!!!
***** that horse is super super fast and he held it to the last stretch and you could see he the horse just got started . he probably could go even faster than that . lol (: if the race was a lil longer (: lol
I must say Secretariat is an amazing really good horse however this horse is just really fast o-o even faster then Secretariat this thing over took ever horse right from the back and up to the front o-o
My opinion is that Secretariat was the fastest horse, ahead of Ruffian but still a head to head way with Man o' War. Then there was Silky Sullivan who came to first from being 41 lengths behind. Then recently the great mare Zenyatta and the colts Orb, Oxbow, Union Rags, Paynter, etc...
You never know what a horse is going to do until he's on the track!! It all depends on rather he's feeling or not!!! And if he is, nothing can stop him! Secretariat would come out the chute last and wind up not only in front, but tearing up world records! This horse here reminded me of the Immortal Big Red! Wait....is it Big Red???!!! Lol!!
Cant anybody here write a comment without mentioning Secretariat???? He has nothing to do with this race or this horse!!!!! Give me a break!! A fast sprinter could probably7 beat him!!!!

@@desertpair2 Good example of the best horse not winning.... jockey error? What should have been a perfect record was marred by her final race.

that thing was so fast my broadband speed couldn't keep up
😁

@@ronaldoser3863 deep impact was the horse, but this video has been sped up, adjust your setting to 0.75 for the real speed
This Horse Should Be an Advert for RedBull.
....or the announcer!!!
Are we talking about the horse, or the announcer?
hahahaha
JTH OMG lmao
LMAO! No kidding.

@@lizzieevans297 I introduce you to secretariat 🙂
Lol

I also would like the fractions, but closing 10 lengths in the final furlong is pretty impressive.
The last sprint at the final quarter i think is the fastest ever!
Wow, did anybody check that horse to see if he had a rocket in his bunghole?!
Did anyone check the announcer to see if he had a rocket in his mouth?
Jared G sorry, but japanese is spoken at such a rate due to how low the information density is packed into every syllable. if they were to speak at a rate of english, it would make conveying information way slower than english. Just putting it out here.
Jared G hahahaha
If you turned the announcers voice into a horse he would win by leaps and bounds. Probably break Secretariat's record.
wow that was brilliant, incredible timing by the jockey as well
the title should be " super commentator !!, fastest commentator i've ever heard !! "
I love it when they come from behind like that and not being whipped to do it. This lil guy had explosive speed.
this guy could talk faster than a horse could run.. Lmao😂😂
Jockey: hey horse I will cook you a pan cake later if you win this
Horse: really? so let's finish this
Wtf..i bet that horse was made by Toyota.
That’s one amazing horse!
Where Secretariat had steady, increasing acceleration (at least from what I remember), this one is a bullet. Wow.
His name is Broad Appeal, 1994 by Broad Brush.
Correctly
thank you! it's not surprising that he's a Broad Brush offspring
edit: turns out that's a filly!!
Amazing race! Amazing horse! Amazing commentator!

Freakin' incredible!
What a finish! All the other horses were flat out, and this one coming from behind leaves the field standing! Insane!
BEST FINISHER EVER, I CANNOT COMPARE THIS HORSE TO SECRETARIAT BECAUSE SECRETARIAT IS A LEGEND OF FRONT RUNNERS
What a beast. holy shit.
at end that horse use NITRO booooooooooom:) truely amazing
Horse is amazing but that guy...lmfao I was rollin!
Running like Zenyatta for sure. Damn what a crazy overtake
Dang, those were some fast pixels!
Broad Appeal is a great-grandson of Secretariat.
Corect
The horse's name is Broad Appeal and the announcer's name is Tatsuya Aoshima.
Aoshima is famous for the speed of announcement in short-distance races🤣
Somebody must have told that horse either you win this race , or it's the glue factory for you.
That horse was flying home.
I would love to hear an English translator keep up with the caller!!

interesting fact, this horse of this vedio 'broad appeal', she is the great grand-daughter of Secretariat and Hoist a Flag.
He really loves his job.
Why is everyone comparing horses with Secretariat? It's annoying..
Kiayrue Secretariat is the default horse for people who know little about horse racing.
Thank you (:
qhsperson the greatest horse to ever live
Sekual Tyranosaur Some people think so.
Kiayrue -It`s because Sec was such a rare creature that boggles the mind.

The fastest one I believe was the commentator....
No horses were drugged in the making of this video
Holy Cow!!! you weren't kidding, that is the fastest horse ever
It's a close second to Calidiscopio's 2013 Brooklyn Handicap at Belmont Park. Now that was a sight.

That horse loves coke
i think he drink red bull Lol
The hungarian horse named Kincsem was the fastest horse ever. She won 54/54 competition! (And Secretariat and Songbird.)
Kincsem, a mare. ran all over Europe, and England, too. She raced against males, was given several walk overs when no other horses dared to race against her. Expert horse, expert rider timed it perfectly, boss commentator.
God's timing is perfect
Sounded like a methed out suicide pilot...the horse was a distant second
Sounded exciting!!!
Wish I coulda seen it.
When the turbo kicks in😏
They were practically in last place, and then that acceleration just took over.

Amazing speed.
هههههههه مقطع رهيب عدته خمس مرات .. انهبل المذيع هههه
Secretariat back in the day would be eating back at the barn while this horse was still running.
Ah you Secretariat fans, always getting in your 2 cents. And Man O' War would be asleep AFTER eating!!!
OMG that was fast!
Insane run!

Somebody cloned Pharlap - what is the name of that horse? That was one of the most impressive races I've ever seen!
