I'm an ID guy who relearned how to draw 20 yrs ago but it keeps me amazed those colleagues who can bring fresh air to analog sketching methods. A pleasure to watch and thanks for sharing!
Hey, in some videos you move the paper (like here) in others you have the same view on the paper you are sketching on. is there any reason to this? because i tend to move my paper a lot, i find it super hard drawing lines going from left to right for example, so i always tilt my paper so i can just make a line downwards.
@@productdesignermaker wow, thank you for your quick reply! good to hear, i always thought at some point you get so comfortable to just keep the paper still! just started my design studies, will definitely be looking here for some inspiration!
Hello. I would like to ask an experienced product designer like you the following questions: i) how did you become a product designer? ii) can an aspiring character designer like me find joy in a place like industrial design? ( I ask because its a career that involves drawing and pays well) iii) do you as a product designer have time to have other pursuits nowadays, because that's what i look for in a career as of now. Sorry for the obnoxious questions...
Hi there. Can I refer you to this? ua-cam.com/play/PLUmGIca4HGqYginGXASEwIIyLuYh_fN4a.html It could give you an insight (there are lots of people answering your questions here). I'm mostly teaching product design, and UA-cam occupies my free time, along with a load of extreme sports (you'll see a bit of that in the video). It's difficult to say if it's the career for you, without knowing you. I'd recommend getting some work experience in a firm of designers. You'll soon know if it doesn't suit you. I hope this helps.
@@productdesignermaker Thanks a lot, cause with graphite pencils or other pens I can't have those linees you make as shadows, but I know its also that my technique is bad, Ill be helpful to make a video on your shadowing technique by the way if you havent.
main question. Why didnt he draw from right (sphere) to left (cube) to avoid having lines overlap? seems straightforward to me, but maybe theres a technical explanation why?
I want to show all of my construction lines. They add valuable information to my design work, making it easier for my client to follow the journey of my ideas. ua-cam.com/video/_uzSMAI5AuE/v-deo.html

Hi, I’m only keeping the paper still when I’m trying to show the viewer what I’m doing. I find it much preferable to turn the paper all the time

@@Wolf-zs9vc thank you!
Turning the page allows you to use your arm and shoulder rather than your wrist - resulting in smoother, easier lines (and less wrist-ache!)

It's that a ball pen ?
Thank you. The equipment is all listed below the video.
Can You put a video on how to draw freehand lines? that will be really helpful. please!
Thanks, yes, planning to.
Thats amazing. Which pen do you use?
Thank you. Have a look in the description below the video for the info about pens.
Why does the paper have the line's on it?
It’s just slightly textured. It’s the same as brown wrapping paper.
😍😍😍😍
