Glad you're back. I rewatch your videos to keep my basics strong as I am learning. Also follow you on insta and often try to recreate your posts. So thanks for keeping them as a carousel and not doing reels all the time.
I appreciate you uploading this video! I’m applying for uni this year for Architecture - I know that it’s not product design but the way I ideate, sketch and design improved tremendously thanks to you! Thank you thank you thank you!!
I really appreciate you taking the time to comment. This feedback is absolutely the reason I make these videos. I’m hopeful I’m making a positive impact upon people and it’s so nice to hear that I am. Thank you and I wish you the very best in your architecture journey.
I was about to write a comments, and saw yours. Well, Architecture teacher here, and I will be recommending this channel to my students :) You are going in a beautiful direction having the sketching skills expressed in this channel in your toolkit. Echo the message, Thank you @productdesignermaker !
@@camiloij thank you, I appreciate this hugely. It’s my mission to make resources that help anyone who feels they’ve reached their ceiling. I’ve become convinced that this form of communication is something that we learn, and I want to help as many people with that as I can. I really appreciate your support and I’m grateful to you for sharing my channel, thank you.
wonderful video to watch to remind myself to keep using construction lines. As I progress in my studies of ID I find myself getting cocky with some basic shapes (and my sketches suffer!) this is great to get me back on track !
This is genuinely beneficial information, Thank you so much! I was stuck in a rut and this resolved the troubles in my head. This video helped me construct the details of the interior of my spaceship. I'm penciling and inking my science fiction comic book right now. Comic art perhaps isn't quite what this video is meant for, but still, I thank you for showing us this informative process :)
I generally sketch with construction lines, they are not straight and I have to erase it many times in order to get it right. Thankyou so much for this awesome video, I'll apply your principles in my design sketches now.
@@Kajuuuwww1317 thank you for the feedback. Very pleased the video is of use. You’ll absolutely smash straight lines and the other fundamentals upon which you’ll have the best foundation for a bright design sketching future, if you work through this: simplydesignsketching.teachable.com/p/the-fundamental-mechanics-of-design-sketching
Such a great video! I'm not a professional but I draw a lot and whenever I lack inspiration I start making geometrical shapes within other shapes with a thin line and I'm also calling them "scaffolds" haha! Immediately my brain picks it up and acts like a computer, generating me an image. This is the best practice when you're having an art-block. Besides, it improves your control and sense of proportions.
This is great to hear, thank you. I never got very far with painting (despite always wanting to), but I’ve learned that sketching is not a skill we’re born with, so I’m confident I’ll be able to learn to paint, when I get a chance to commit to it.

Really pleased to hear it’s been useful. Thank you.
I’ve been using photoblue pencils for years now for concept art and cartoon character stuff so this really tracks.
Perfect! Great to hear the crossover!

Very useful to a sketch and watercolour user. I like the reference to construction lines and scaffolding.
