I’m 73 and the last of my 5 long time school friends. When I see a cool car I want to get on the phone and tell them what I saw, except there’s no one left. It makes me terribly sad at those moments. I’m lucky to still have my wife and my 2 kids. I try to walk every day and put around my yard.

You can tell me about those cars, because I miss them also, my 68 Chevelle SS 396, My 71 Nova, my 68 Coronet 383, there all dreams of the past, I guess I kinda got old, and this younger bunch, well they just do not have interest in these things.

When my friends and I get together and tell OUR stories people think we are the biggest bunch of liars they ever heard. The don't realize that we can only tell certain stories because we aren't sure about the statute of limitations on some of our stories. THANK. GOD FOR FRIENDS AND MEMORIES!

I'm 75, and all my school friends back in the day are all gone also. Sure, Glade. I was born when I was. I remember the 66 GTO , 69 Mustang , and especially the 57 Chevy, which I owned. I sure miss the Saturday nights of cruises around town with Wolf Man Jack keeping our radio hopping. Yes, sir, those were the good old days . me smile.

As get on in years I keep rememberi more and more about when I left home for the army. When I came home after serving my country I thought I could just pick up where I left off. Nope, as they say it felt as if I was a guest in the home I grew up in. As they say you can never really go home again. I drive by that address now over 45 years later it is a empty lot my step mom and my dad are gone now and even my little brother passed away a few years ago. Nothing stays the same but we have to carry on and hang on to those great memories. God bless us all. And God bless America.

Thank you for your service and sacrifices. Memories are what gets us through tough times, I think. I find comfort in knowing that at the times I find myself struggling with problems, chnges loniness etc. I can reflect back on time where one moment, one hour or one day made all the diffrence in the world. Prey for our great nation, we've done what we could now it's time to let the young ones fight the good battles to keep what you and others have fought and died for. Thanks you for your support and comment!

I just turned 67 in January this yr. We’re did my 40’s and 50’s go? Life goes by so fast! I’ve had a wonderful and loving life!. It’s hell to get old as my dad said one when he fell in the kitchen! God rest his soul and my wonder, beautiful mother passed a few yrs. ago. Last year lost my wonderful brother from a blood vessel in heart bust and traveled to his brain. It will be a yr. ago March 3rd 2023. It hit him so fast ! Lost my sweet heart in 2004 from a heart attack at home. He was 47. We were high school sweethearts and got married at age 22 with two beautiful grown girls. Married with one child each. One granddaughter and a grandson. It’s been 19 yrs since he passed and I still cry 😭 and miss him every day. He was in the army!! My first and last love of my life. We were the same age started going together at age 16. Married at age 22!! I’m gonna meet my Lord and all my family and friends some day!!😂💖💕

Amen brother. I am 70, and still got a weld shop, repair farm equipment, and work on old cemeteries. Make footstones for old graves, and help anyone that asks. Grow a big garden, can the vegetables and give them to my older neighbors. In my mind I and still 30 years old. Take no med, got no health issues, mind is still sharp. I thank God for the opportunity to do this. I believe that as long as I do this, the father will let me stay for awhile.

Im a bit rusty, coverded in dust i tend a huge garden, care for for pets.
Mom and Dad have passed on and now im the one the kids come to when they need a shoulder. I wish I'd listened to dad when he showed how much he loved us all. Getting old doesn't take away tha lost feeling i sometimes get.

Running up on 76. This song made me spin my head around to look back in my younger years. I’m wondering how fast they went. Couldn’t wait to be a teen, then couldn’t wait till I could hit those twenties. After that time was on the fast track. Looking back, where did the time go. Song pulls on my heart strings. Surely will be missed. Thank you for a beautiful and little sad song at the same brought a smile on my wrinkly ol face looking back.

At this age I’m the only one left alive in the family. I have a loving wife and 3 children who are great adults. All of which I am eternally grateful for. Yet there are times, not too often, I want to call up my Dad just to talk. Call my Mom to ask about her cinnamon roll recipe or just to say hi. Those moments are long past. Two of the professions I once worked at have been made obsolete because of technological advances.
Although I will say that my faith in the Lord Jesus Christ is the one constant sustaining factor that makes life this side of heaven bearable.

This song is depressing. I'm 65 and can't wait to catch crappie and catfish in the spring. And making a plan on a big whitetail in the fall with a bow. All my past came with sunrises in the morning. Stop whining and find a way to catch a fish.

Stop smoking and drinking, and get some exercise. You'll feel better. And to be honest, you were never the man you thought you were.
