Mental health is so extremely important! And it’s more vital to acknowledge there’s a problem and actually ask for help. You don’t ever have to settle for feeling, “it is what it is”. I struggled with drugs and alcohol for 20 years, though. I've been clean for 6 years, but it did a lot of damage, unfortunately. Love the song. Keep up the good work. I know most can't remember, but when I think back, my memories start around 18 with some glimpses of growing up peppered about. I've done a lot of wrong in this life, but thankfully, Jesus took all that to the cross with him. This hits me hard! It’s damn near how I been thinking and who I am. Letting go of the reigns and letting life happen is one of the hardest things to do. I been wanting to feel some sort of normal like when I was younger. I’ve lost who I was after being destroyed by people who I held close to me. I feel lost all the time and been carrying a lifetime of disappointment on my family’s faces from one bad decision to the next. All I want is to let my family be proud of me and give back twice what they gave me. There isn’t many ppl who stick around and help when your at your lowest. I got 2 sons and i know I’m not much to look up to but I still pray that I’ll be able to let them be proud to say that’s my dad! My dad took off when I was 2 so I don’t know what a father son relationship supposed to be but I do the best I can.
