Good for you, Marine, Im 82 years old and just diagnosed with a bad case of bladder cancer! It seems difficult to fight the inevitable end! I never went to sick bay in my 4 years active duty infantry 0351! I retired from the USMCR in 1993! I wish you the best, brother & keep up the fight!🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
Brother, every day is golden, we've got to choose to see thru the bad times for what they truly are... they're just a stepping stone along our way to help polish us up!!! I'm only 44 years old but after my own "father" tried to murder me on 3 different occasions, my body feels like I've been around for centuries... I feel I had to grow up way too soon and protect the ones around me, including my brothers, sisters and my Mother... I, like you, hope and pray I see the gates of Heaven, I've suffered enough Hell here for 10 life times... God Bless you all!!!
I am 68 and I move a little slower now but I am still moving! I am 12 years sober and I am trying to take better care of myself! I have a good wife now to share my life with! I didn’t think I’d ever make it to 60 between the alcohol and the drugs! When I finally sobered up I told my brother that I finally had a good life and he said ( what I have left of it) I said I have quality not quantity! I thank God for every day that he gives me!
There's a new life in eternity for those of us who know JESUS. We'll get a new body. And be young again. The whole purpose of being on this Earth Is to serve & and know CHRIST. HE will make all things new and I love HIM ❤

Keep fighting dude! I had my first of three cancers ( prostate) in 200O followed with testicular, then in 2018 throat cancer. I am five years out doing great. Age 74, hoping and expecting a bit more. Keep on Keeping on. Best wishes.
You are so right, I'm only 82 years young do my own house 🏡 work, 🏪 shopping 🛒 gardening, still driving 🚘 no drinking or tobacco use, go to 🎶 singing with a group, some in their 90 years young LIFE REALLY IS LAUGHABLE WITH LOTS OF LOVE, don't forget the grounding, if you were to poor to buy shoes, then that was a blessing, cheers everyone and all the best ◇◇◇◇ *** ...
I just turned 60. I cried. Time goes so fast. Guess I should feel blessed God has given me all those years. I just sit and think about my grandkids and the dumb thought comes thru my head that if I have 15-20 years left that’s not much time.
I just realized today that God does give us a second chance through our Grandchildren to be not so young and dumb as we were while raising our children.❤

All the people who made a comment on here are the men and women who made this country great, I thank you. I'm not that old but not to young either, aha, this new generation will never understand the sacrifices and dues that were paid in blood. Thanks, and God bless from FL.
You are so right. I'll be 80 next year and this says it all. Where did the time go? I'm thankful I lived my life in my 30's and 40's, traveled the world and experienced it all. I sure don't have the energy to do that now!
I'm 66 with Parkinsons. The excruciating pain and lost memories have pushed me much further ahead than I should be. But as Toby Keith asked/sung, "how old would you be if you didn't know the day you were born?"
You keep hanging on! PD is a close and evil presence in my life. We are fighting it kicking and screaming also. Sending a prayer up for you if that's OK.
I’ll be 70 in December, I want to be like you and ignore my age and enjoy every day! I love the saying “I don’t know how to act my age, I’ve never been this old before..
73 now. Am known by the few left as the man who lived the free est of anyone that they knew. Raced the hotrods loved the pick- ups, chased the beautiful Glorious Unreplaceable Women. Never passed a hungry person without feedingvthem. Was known never pass a child in need. Last 3 days active UEMC cost me 9 months 21 days in Military Hospital. Took three years to walk again Said I would never walk again. Went out and rode a Bull in celebration when i threw crutches away and NEVER Complained because I knew I always volunteered. Smoking a hand rolled cigarette and smiling at the memories. Bless ya all
I'm 73 soon 74 God has been so good to me! Had a wonderful family great Mom and Dad brothers and sisters. I'm just sorry that there is not much time left with my Darling GO and my sons and Grandkids. When did I get old?
No one is OLD. That's the system that wants us old and treats us old so they can remove us out of the system. Disconnect from everything and just live your life as you please and guess what? You'll live forever and be healthy.
Dang right it ain't, and that's why we shouldn't give it the time of day. I've connected though, with the good stuff, and still working disconnecting with "what were 'supposed' to do"@@user-sp2nc8rc5k
With jesus we never die alone I've dealt with schizophrenia for half my life and in and out of mental hospitals my whole life I do know what it's like to be alone
Turned 71 was 3 days ago Feb 21. Wow so real that song. Man it makes you think. I also lost my only child my son and my husband thus past year jan.2023. I'm alone now after 46vyrs marriage. Got Thus song hits me hard 😢
I'm going on 59 still young I say so but this song tells it all I used to have it all decades ago I was well known I had it all now I'm just living life waiting for my day to come I have never feared death when the big man upstairs calls me I'll go with open arms and thank God for everyday he gave me everything is behind me now
I am "only" 59 years old, BUT, the miles on me far exceed 59 years old. It's not the age, but the miles you travel in life. Abuse as a child, 3 marriages, 3 divorces, 2 bankruptcy, 2 child custody battles (I won custody both times), spent $100k on lawyers, severe life long migraines and GERD, on disability due to mental health issues, pushing and shoving to provide for the family by working 3 jobs, etc. I'd guess I have about 14million miles on me. When did I get old? By the time I was 20 years old, I was an "Old Man".
Peace be with you! This world is not our home. We are going home soon. Jesus Christ is the King of Glory! Our Living hope! Nothing but the blood of Jesus can wash away our sins. No religion needed. Just faith, faith plus nothing.
I'm pushing 80...... and the first time I heard this song I cried . I've since listened to it at least 20 times ..I have learned the deep truth ... I'm just a man that's going to die way before he thought he was gong to
I'm 59 and working 2 jobs. Proud mom of a daughter and son and Nana (1 granddaughter). My mom is alive ( 3 times cancer survior) Daddy passed of Parkinson disease, diabetes and heart disease. I'm the middle sister of 5. 3 girls 2 boys. We lost our brother at age 65 in February and my heart is broken 💔 yes, we all have drank, smoked dope and more. I'm now a Christian and sing in church. Praise God and thank him everyday for his mercy and grace. Open your eyes before its too late. Love this song.
I know the pain in life, I keep believing some how I keep going doing the things our good Lord lets me do in this life. I keep my foot on the petal of life! I am 65 I still do the dangerous things in life I know one day it just might take me home.
I'm going to be 63 in July. All my elders from WW2, the Korean war vets have passed. Several Vietnam vets too. Really good men. I miss them. Wish I could get them together for one more time. I appreciate this song. But it had me welling up in my eyes. Struck a chord for sure. Thanks for it 👍

Lost my husband the day after Christmas. He would have said the exact same words. I heard some of them come directly out of his mouth. I hear young people talk about us being dinosaurs or the old days. I wish we were still in the old days when there wasn't so much crap. I'll be 63 my birthday in July and l sure do miss him. He was a good man.
Sure am feelin it. at 70 in the spring. But I haven't slowed yet. At least at most things. never give up. Stand tall stay motivated. Age means ya have a lot to offer the world , Stay encouraged with every breath. and be thankful your still breathing.
I just turned 40 this past September, and I feel middle aged due to today's circumstances all around. I manage plenty, and yet I feel like there's not enough time to dedicate to my daughters of 7 and 10 years of age. Where does time go. Me carrying my babies feels like just yesterday. We're here for a short stint, and good music makes it worth stepping out that door every morning, 7days a week🔊🔊🎶🙏🎶
Yeah I can relate to this song. On the back of the door in my attic I began to write on the back of the door at 15 things about my life and what's goin on. Every few years I'd write something. I'm 67 and still writing. I stood there and read the whole thing I thought to myself where did the time go.
Never felt old until Covid in ‘21. Haven’t been the same since. Seeing those I love die, my own health disintegrating sure makes me wonder where all the time went. I use to wonder what old people think about & now I know!
My father used to say to us ,when we were teens. When we think ,we have all the time in the world “to live,we forgot to indulge in the “experiences of living. When that choice is yanked away from us,That’s when we scramble to feel.😞😠😠😩😩
Guess I'm still a pup compared to some (56), but it's been a hard, bumpy, road. Most of it I've traveled alone. Married, widowed, divorced. Ain't afraid of dying, just dying alone. Too many health concerns now, but got good stories, good kids, and a couple awesome grand kids.
I'm seventy and she's been a hell of a ride. Grew up on a farm in Saskatchewan. Tremendous upbringing. Great wild west folks. Worked the rigs in Albert's and bc. Hunted the mountains of alberta on horseback and met and partied with some awesome cowboys. Owned and drove hard my 69 charger n 71 super bee. It's been a hell of a great life. We had great hair, great cars and great music. Still enjoying some of it yet and hope God willing to do it for a few years yet
I'm on the back side of 44 (still considered a young man by today's standards-I guess). For some reason even before my teenage years I was always very aware of how short life was-how precious our time is. That being said, I haven't been very good at living in the moment or appreciating experiences while in them. My son just turned 18 and in ways I've tried to express how fleeting his young man years are. I don't think he gets it... I wouldn't have either had someone tried to tell me when I was his age. I guess that's a lesson only time can teach a man. Haven't had a song hit me like this since "Like a Rock". This is a damn good tune! Glad it found me....
44? Life changes. Go camping where you can hear the wind pass threw the pines, hear a creek pass by. Smell the pine wood bury in the fire, hear the sap explosion, and smile at the memories of friends from grade w goil you have forgotten. Learn to shoot better, learn to reload. Drink a bit less, try rolling your own tobacco occasionally if you smoke. Collect old pictures of family, especially those you don't know, and remember you have one hell of a story. Everyone who has lived to 44 knows a lot more than when they were 8. Iam 73
It is a privilege to grow old. Sin has made it really difficult especially growing old and have no one. Eat well, exercise young, live for God and try and enjoy what this life has to offer.
Man has to win every battle with the grim reaper. He needs to only win once. Live every day to the fullest because one day he will win. A beautifully written song. Thanks
This song is so poignant. My dad is 87 & 3 friends of his just recently passed in 3 weeks. I'll be 63 & I worry all the time about time that it is short & I feel I better try to get everything in before something happens. It's scary. This guy is amazing, talented & the song is beautiful & hits hard. Tell everyone you love how you feel you never know when tomorrow might not come.
May the creator watch over all of you. This life is just part of the Journey we take. Thank you for raising families, working and contributing to this life. When the end comes go home like a Warrior.
I'm 69 have diabetes , quadruple bypass, copd, stage 4 aggressive prostate cancer that went to the bones and now it's in the liver and the lining that holds up your insides fun time's really enjoy this song

Keep fighting dude! I had my first of three cancers ( prostate) in 200O followed with testicular, then in 2018 throat cancer. I am five years out doing great. Age 74, hoping and expecting a bit more. Keep on Keeping on. Best wishes.
There's only one alternative to not getting old, I'm 71 and still enjoying life, so stop the moaning and enjoy it while you can.

I just turned 60. I cried. Time goes so fast. Guess I should feel blessed God has given me all those years. I just sit and think about my grandkids and the dumb thought comes thru my head that if I have 15-20 years left that’s not much time.
I love God's grace for all the years 77 and my wife for 58 years and God's grace was with us everyday good and bad in Jesus name amen 🙏 ❤❤❤
I just realized today that God does give us a second chance through our Grandchildren to be not so young and dumb as we were while raising our children.❤
I'm not afraid to die
The greatest song I have ever heard at 78 years old ! This song says it All for the Boomers who are left to face this World at War!!!🇨🇦😰
I agree great song, same age, I thought time slowed down as you got older, not so.
@@Ronick-Q-46 exactly......must live your life, this one life, when your'e 30 and 40 or else you won't have the energy. Live your life NOW.

So true
Turned 70 in November. I've been to alot of funerals. I thank God for each day.
I have been to many funerals. Gets harder as I realize my mortality. God keeps us here for a reason.
@@123mycrazygirls 2 Corinthians 5:4
For we who are in this tent groan, being burdened, not because we want to be unclothed, but further clothed, that mortality may be swallowed up by life.
Hit 92 still ticking,a great song.
only 72 here - but no one in my family has passed at less than 93 since the 70s. Guess I'm gonna be here a while.
I'm 71 n wondering what happened to the country I fought for went😢
It’s still here, I promise. All is not lost
All the people who made a comment on here are the men and women who made this country great, I thank you. I'm not that old but not to young either, aha, this new generation will never understand the sacrifices and dues that were paid in blood. Thanks, and God bless from FL.
I'm 80, and this says it all. But it was worth it. I love life.. live for today and thank the lord for all !!!
Thank you
You are so right. I'll be 80 next year and this says it all. Where did the time go? I'm thankful I lived my life in my 30's and 40's, traveled the world and experienced it all. I sure don't have the energy to do that now!

Nothing wrong with getting old. Everything wrong with giving up.
That says it all, Buddy.
I'm 66 with Parkinsons. The excruciating pain and lost memories have pushed me much further ahead than I should be. But as Toby Keith asked/sung, "how old would you be if you didn't know the day you were born?"
Hang on!
Thanks! I told someone else exactly those words today. Thats all many can do. Dont give up!!!@johnjobe3195
May God grant you a peace that transcends all understanding... Praying.
Don’t give up man. Keep enjoying what you can. 😊
You keep hanging on! PD is a close and evil presence in my life. We are fighting it kicking and screaming also. Sending a prayer up for you if that's OK.
I'm 80 love the song and can relate to it, but I try to ignore my age and enjoy life what will be will be
I’ll be 70 in December, I want to be like you and ignore my age and enjoy every day!

When did I get old?
No one is OLD. That's the system that wants us old and treats us old so they can remove us out of the system. Disconnect from everything and just live your life as you please and guess what? You'll live forever and be healthy.
Yes 💯.
Godamned system ain’t human. Thanks for your very relevant post.
May the wind always be at your back. ✌️
Kinda
Dang right it ain't, and that's why we shouldn't give it the time of day. I've connected though, with the good stuff, and still working disconnecting with "what were 'supposed' to do"@@user-sp2nc8rc5k
No money though, now at there mercy
With jesus we never die alone I've dealt with schizophrenia for half my life and in and out of mental hospitals my whole life I do know what it's like to be alone
I am old!! I'm 75 . I remember my past years. The Heaven and the Hell.
Where did these years go? They went by so quickly

Hard to stand strong but you gotta do it for yourself Mary. Trust in the Lord.

I am not old I don't think . I have lung cancer and my wife loves me so much. It's like nothing is diffrernt
Ain't no consolation for getting old. It hurts.

True song ❤ but it's the part of life no one can hold. Just thank the Lord for other day every day.
I understand. I am 65 and it seems like I was young one day and the next I was old. Like when did it happen so fast.?
I just turned 40 this past September, and I feel middle aged due to today's circumstances all around. I manage plenty, and yet I feel like there's not enough time to dedicate to my daughters of 7 and 10 years of age. Where does time go. Me carrying my babies feels like just yesterday. We're here for a short stint, and good music makes it worth stepping out that door every morning, 7days a week🔊🔊🎶🙏🎶
This song really says everything about how I feel
Yeah I can relate to this song. On the back of the door in my attic I began to write on the back of the door at 15 things about my life and what's goin on. Every few years I'd write something. I'm 67 and still writing. I stood there and read the whole thing I thought to myself where did the time go.
Never felt old until Covid in ‘21. Haven’t been the same since. Seeing those I love die, my own health disintegrating sure makes me wonder where all the time went. I use to wonder what old people think about & now I know!
I too, came down with COVID , last week. Hit me hard . I have side effects . I’m 82. I’ll pray for you if, you’ll pray for me ♥️
When did i get old i said looking at my self in a mirror
My father used to say to us ,when we were teens.
When we think ,we have all the time in the world “to live,we forgot to indulge in the “experiences of living. When that choice is yanked away from us,That’s when we scramble to feel.😞😠😠😩😩
Thank you Sir very good song thanks for the share and thank you for your service
Ditto, Like A Rock.
Iam 73

Age is just a number. Birthday's are nothing but a library to the past. Every day above ground is a good day. Enjoy them, one day at a time.
