    I have 4 Epiphone guitars
    A new JJN gold Glory
    A recent casino
    A Wayne Static signature v
    And a 1994 Joe Pass
All nice guitars ,my main gripe with all the epiphones is the same gripe the poly is too thick and you can really tell at the binding and neck body contact points, outside of that there all for the really you do get your dollar's worth, the more expensive Epiphone are excellent the lower price still decent if you don't mind modding upgrades, the cheapest ones are still more playable and functional than other brands even at the worst.
The JJN signature models sound amazing and I use mine as a stunt double backup for my Gibson r54 and Gibson SG Jr

This was one of my favorite videos from you. I have only recently started my deep dive into the wacky world of Epiphone, and have found some I love (the black JJN "Old Glory" and the Faulkner V). I have also found a couple that modded pretty easily, like the Guitar Center special Custom Pro Black Back Limited Edition. Just needed locking tuners, a pickup upgrade and a new nut. Great platform, though.

Nice list you got there^^ I started playing on Epiphones ~10 years ago with an SG Custom Prophecy EX (Ebony fretboard, EMG81/85, Mahogany body, Tune-O-Matic bridge) for ~350€. Even though the guitar has a bit of neck dive, it still plays amazing and I still come back to it from time to time. A few years later I got myself a Les Paul Custom Prophecy Plus (EMG81/85, purple finish, Mahogany body, Rosewood fretboard -> at first I thought it was Ebony since it was so dark; and it has a production error, where 1 of the 4 nobs is blue instead of purple -> I don't see it as an error, it makes it look just a tad bit more unique :D ). This is my main guitar to this day and considering that it only cost me 550€ (including the case) that was one heck of a grab :D

I found a guitar shop with a nice Luthier who told me he gut get it for me and set it up. Probably a bad offer for him since it was super hard for him to set up possibly having to work on frets, nut and what not. As a honourable Luthier he set it up great and it is an amazing guitar. I saw a sno-fall on Facebook marketplace and fell in love because of the white fretboard.
(I've got two ibanez dt250s with red fretboards and have always thought the color matched fretboards were super rad)
I was a little late to the party so they weren't available new any more...
I ended up with a snow falcon, I snagged mine from zzsounds on sale for $599. and I'm pretty sure it was the last new one anyone had in stock anywhere.
I wasn't a fan of the neck, it was a little thicker than most of my other guitars so I played it for less than 10 minutes, put a set of white DR strings on it and tucked it away in the in an epiphone V hard case to keep it safe. The matching white soft case, C.O.A. and paperwork are also tucked away & I've been watching the values increase ever since.
Strangely enough, I also have an Explorer GT which I got for under $150. on ebay that's a little more comfortable and easier to justify modding at that price range so I threw a set of neon green Dragonfire "Power Rails" in it.
Was never a big Gibson or Epiphone fan but they're growing on me.

    Great Video, thanks ! 😊
Epiphone is doing a great Job of building fantastic Guitars at a reasonable Price . I bought a SG Modern at the beginning of the year, and it's a Spec loaded Axe that plays exceptionally well ! 🥰
Every bit as good as my Gibson LP Heritage, and probably more versatile because of all the various Coil Splitting options .
    Cheers ✌️

I picked up a MKH epiphone back in 2018 and I love it to bits. The MHK Snofall was available at that time too, but I went with the more low profile black MKH. I decided against it because I already have an obvious signature guitar with the Schecter ZV Mirror. But I do sometimes wonder if I should have gotten the Snofall instead.

, nighthawk reissue (HB) is for playing JProck song , SG'61 Maestro is my main now.

I have 3 epiphone 59s a 61 les Paul/SG and an Iommi signature SG and they are all fantastic But the Epi 59s are truly fantastic. As great as the BB2 and BB3 sound make the 59 sound they sound even better with a pickup upgrade. I put a set custombuckers in one and a single custombcuker in the bridge of one of my other 59s I did not put the custombucker in the neck because I was curious to hear what the middle position would sound like with the Alnico 2 burstbucker 2 in rhe neck and the Alnico 3 custom bucker in the bridge . I had heard a Gibson les paul with a Custombucker in the neck and a BB3 on tej bridge and the middle tone was great . I Ended up really liking the the middle tone with the BB2 and cusrombucker . I little more honky and full in middle compared to a full set of custombuckers . A little more jimmy page in the Middle so I am not going to put the custombucker in the neck. My 3rd epi 59 which is an exclusive royal tea burst sounds fantastic with the stock BB2 and 3 but after hearing how much better the Custombuckers and the other 2 sound I am thinking about buying a Gibson t type pickup for the bridge which is a T top reissue and try it with the stock BB2 in the neck the spare custombucker I now have and a duncan whole lotta humbucker neck I have . Page used a T top in the bridge of his number 1 les paul paired with the stock PAF in the neck from the spring of 1972 to around 1990 and he had a very unique middle tone. It was a quasi out of Phase sound. Or phasey sounding put the pickups were not out of Phase and he had no Phase switching on his les Paul's untill 1981 for his number 2 les Paul and 1999/2000 for his number 1 . It's Phasey sounding but has the fullness from being in Phase and is as nasal and honky as you can get while still being in Phase and I want to see which of those 3 neck pickups will get closest to that sound with the T top in the bridge. Some would say rhe whole lotta humbucker would be the obvious choice but page did not start using the Duncan's untill after led zeppelin and are not based on any of pages vintage pickups. The whole lotta neck is one of the best neck pickups i have tried but it's alot fatter sounding then a vintage PAF neck and has a slightly more modern hard rock Eq with alot of low end/low mids . It's not muddy at all in fact this acuity pretty bright despite the bass and low mids as there is also alot of upper mids and a big open top end. But it's not as woody or hollow sounding like a vintage PAF in the neck. The other 2 are more vintage sounding especially the custombucker .

Very cool. Generally, I consider Epis to be great guitars with meh pick-ups (they're not called mudbuckers a lot for nothing). If you can get one with better pick-ups then they are great guitars. Picked up a Thayer at MF about a year ago for $550 (Stupid deal of the day), but it has been sitting in the case ever since. This review definitely makes me want to take it out. To me it's frustrating that Epiphone has chosen to do high end facsimiles and then not stock them with Gibson or other high end pick-ups. C'mon guys, put the good pick-up in there and charge an extra $100 (I'm sure that will cover the extra wholesale costs.). I often wonder it they are hesitating in doing so, because the quality would then close enough to Gibson to cannibalize sales, even if you don't get the vanilla nitro lacquer aroma.
Have you tried the traditional pro? I'm wondering what your view of that is.

Shame because though it needed a setup, it was awesome. Hope to get another when I'm home.

The Nancy Wilson guitar is similar to the Night Hawk. Yup, it's a reskinned nighthawk probably with some coil splits and cool features. Not sure but I'm very aware of the body style. It's a Nighthawk.

Hey, just noticed a pic of my actual Epi LP Prophecy Plus EX @ 19:00 I had listed on Reverb - just sold a couple days ago. Beautiful blue quilt and the satin neck was comfortable, but I never saw one with an ebony fingerboard either…. just the rosewood. And the real abalone and mother of pearl inlays were very cool. That it ended up in B tier, confirms letting it go @ very close to what I paid for it in 2013. It was hefty at just an oz under 9 lbs and almost always in tune every time I picked it up, thanks to the Grovers and graphite nut. Solid Epi LP for the money.

re: Joan Jetts melody maker - she's been using effectively a "student" guitar for her whole career. I honesty dont know what else they could really do to make it "Joan" except maybe adding a Velvet Hammer pickup (not sure if shes still using this). No shade, just some extra detail.
P.s Have you ever had a look at Hagstrom Guitars out of Sweden? The Swede, Ultra Swede, HIII and Swede-F semi hollow (which I own and really like). They rock in around the same price point as LTD - maybe a bit less. Its the Hagstrom "RC-Circuit" that I find really makes it something special

the last epiphone i owned was in the early 90s. i never saw another one like it. it was a les paul, but it had the gibson headstock on it. it was super expensive. a great guitar but for a single flaw. the poly finish got soft when it was warm. the neck would become sticky. i would scotchbrite it, and it would play great for a few days, then my hand would smooth it out, and the neck would become sticky again. i sold it and never looked back.
