You bring up good points as far as authenticity and quality is concerned..There is a video on youtube about their Chinese plant.. It seems like the Epiphone factory is pretty much as good as it gets in terms of equipment and QC...
From what I've recently heard. Les made the log and variations of it in the Epiphone factory in the early 40s, and then pitched it to Gibson who didn't want it, then he moved out to California and apparently lived next door to Leo Fender where they talked for hours quite often. Leo wanted Les to make a variation of his guitar, but Les told him that even though he didn't love Gibson that he already told them that he would collaborate with them. So Leo came out with the Esquire since he already made lap steel guitars. So, the Les Paul is the first solid body electric guitar.

Gibson knew Epiphone manufactured a better product, that’s why they bought Epiphone. Also, many of the Epiphone models have a neck tenon. I’ve heard that Gibson, with the exception of the custom shop, do not have neck tenons.
I have an Epi Union Jack Sheraton and 1959 Les Paul. Both have Gibson pickups and CTS pots with vintage wiring. Both sound and play great and also hold their value if you buy the right model. My EJ200 was also pretty nice.
I love Epiphone! I own a few but… FACT CHECK: the specs are not the same between Gibsons and Epiphones at all that’s why Epis are so cheap. Veneers often used on lower grade mahogany bodies (Les Pauls and SGs mostly) with lower grade pots and Epiphone’s version of Gibson style humbuckers (pro buckers) so no, they’re not the same specs at all

You're a great personality on this channel man! But here's the greatest fact I know about Epiphone guitars : Epi can't get fretwork right to save their lives.
Wrong.
From my understanding, it is because they don’t glue them down. They just tap them in, smooth the edges, and called it a day.
I feel like he's holding his breath through the whole video.
I own a 2019 Gibson Les Paul Traditional (my favorite) and a 2020 Epiphone Les Paul Custom Silverburst. My Gibson is a much better guitar, but is it $1800 better? No. But my Epi plays great and is beautiful to look at.
My man you look kinda like John Mayer
Gibson knew Epiphone manufactured a better product, that’s why they bought Epiphone.
Also, many of the Epiphone models have a neck tenon. I’ve heard that Gibson, with the exception of the custom shop, do not have neck tenons.
I have an Epi Union Jack Sheraton and 1959 Les Paul. Both have Gibson pickups and CTS pots with vintage wiring. Both sound and play great and also hold their value if you buy the right model. My EJ200 was also pretty nice.
I play Epiphones ....ENOUGH SAID👌💣✔😎😎✌
I keep seeing video's mention Epiphone made in Korea China, I own an Epiphone Les Paul standard made in Indonesia , 97
Marc Bolan often played an Epiphone acoustic.
Why Épi and Squier make guitar with far slimmer neck than Big G and F ! 41mm at nut for Squier and Épi....Do not understand why ?
i think u forgot something
*epiphone sells some guitars over 2000$*
I love Epiphone! I own a few but…
FACT CHECK: the specs are not the same between Gibsons and Epiphones at all that’s why Epis are so cheap. Veneers often used on lower grade mahogany bodies (Les Pauls and SGs mostly) with lower grade pots and Epiphone’s version of Gibson style humbuckers (pro buckers) so no, they’re not the same specs at all
My favourite epiphone player man that’ll be me then ha ha
I’ve got a mid nineties one a trans amber birdseye maple it’s ginger and it rocks
3:32 an Epi SG that doesn't neck dive, what sorcery is this?!
I have a G400 that is very well balanced and a total joy to play. I think just like with the Gibson SG, it varies from guitar to guitar.
@PMTVUK : Great I love it when someone knows their shit ,, most people who talk about Epiphone know nothing about them , Fact No 9 before closing down in Korea , Epiphone made a limited amount of Guitars at to Korean shop in 04 . No 10 ,,, They saved the US shop twice , I wonder if they will again .
Dagan is the man, but he’s basically a character in a movie
They are great jobbing guitars. You get a lot for your money.
